Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have shown remarkable advancements and achieved impressive power conversion efficiencies since their initial introduction in ***,challenges regarding stability,quality,and sustainability must be addressed for their successful commercial *** review analyses the recent studies and challenges related to the operating life and end-of-life utilization of *** to enhance the stability and mitigate the toxic Pb leakage in operational and recycling approaches of discarded PSCs post their end-of-life are examined to establish a viable and sustainable PSC ***,future research directions are proposed for the advancements in the PSC *** goal is to ensure high efficiency as well as economic and environmental sustainability throughout the lifecycle of PSCs.

Pb contamination in aquatic environments causes severe pollution;therefore,harmless absorbents are *** this study,we report a novel synthesis of whitlockite(WH,Ca_(18)Mg_(2)(HPO_(4))_(2)(PO_(4))_(12)),which is the second most abundant biomineral in human bone,and its application as a high-performing Pb^(2+)***(HAP)and WH are prepared via a simple precipitation *** Pb2+absorption performance and mechanism of the synthesized biominerals are investigated in aqueous solutions at neutral *** results demonstrate that WH exhibits an excellent Pb2+absorption capacity of 2339 mg g^(−1),which is 1.68 times higher than the recorded value for ***,the absorbed Pb^(2+) ions are recycled into high-purity PbI_(2).This is employed as a precursor for the fabrication of perovskite solar cells(PSCs),resulting in a conversion efficiency of 19.00%comparable to that of commercial PbI2 powder(99.99%purity).Our approach provides an efficient way to remove Pb^(2+)ions from water and reuse them in the recycling of PSCs.

Electrochemical behavior of dental implant system before and after clinical use(in vivo and in vitro) was researched by using abutment and titanium *** simulate an oral environment,the samples of clinically used and non-used implant systems as a working electrode were exposed to artificial saliva at(36.5±1) ℃.Electrochemical tests were carried out using a *** electrochemical test,the corrosion morphology of each sample was investigated by FE-SEM and *** corrosion potential and pitting potential of clinically used implant system are lower than those of non-used implant system,and clinically used implant system exhibits a lower range of passivation,indicating a less degree of inherent resistance against chloride *** polarization resistance decreases in the case of clinically used implant system,whereas,Rp for clinically non-used implant system increases compared with clinically used implant system.

Simple and Efficient Text Localization for Compressed Image in Mobile Phone

Extraction of the text data present in images involves Text detection, Text localization, Text tracking, Text extraction, Text Enhancement and Text Recognition. Due to its inherent complexity, traditional text localization algorithms in natural scenes, especially in multi-context scenes, are not implementable under low computational resources architectures such as mobile phones. In this paper, we proposed a simple method to automatically localize signboard texts within JPEG mobile phone camera images. Taking into account the information provided by the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) used by the JPEG compression format, we delimitate the borders of the most important?text region. This system is simple, reliable, affordable, easily implementable, and quick even?working under architectures with low computational resources.

Many Text Extraction methodologies have been proposed, but none of them are suitable to be part of a real system implemented on a device with low computational resources, either because their accuracy is insufficient, or because their performance is too slow. In this sense, we propose a Text Extraction algorithm for the context of language translation of scene text images with mobile phones, which is fast and accurate at the same time. The algorithm uses very efficient computations to calculate the Principal Color Components of a previously quantized image, and decides which ones are the main foreground-background colors, after which it extracts the text in the image. We have compared our algorithm with other algorithms using commercial OCR, achieving accuracy rates more than 12% higher, and performing two times faster. Also, our methodology is more robust against common degradations, such as uneven illumination, or blurring. Thus, we developed a very attractive system to accurately separate foreground and background from scene text images, working over low computational resources devices.

CD （Cryptocarya densiflora） Blume has traditionally been used as an herbal medicine. In this study, the effects of CDEE （CD ethanol extract） on inflammation were investigated in LPS （lipopolysaccharide）-stimulated mouse RAW264.7 macrophages. We investigated the effects of CDEE on the production of NO, PGE2 interleukin （IL）-6, IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor （TNF）-α in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. We measured the mRNA or protein expression of the pro-inflammatory mediators induced by CDEE in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. We explored the expression of Nrf-2, heme oxygenase （HO）-I and NADPH-quinone oxidoreductase （NQO）-I to elucidate the antioxidative mechanisms. CDEE significantly inhibited the production of NO, PGE2, IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. CDEE suppressed the mRNA or protein expression of iNOS, COX-2, and the MAPKs with a reduction in the translocation of NF-κB in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. In addition, CDEE significantly increased the expression of HO-I and NQO-1 with an increase in the translocation of Nrf-2 into the nucleus. These results indicate that CDEE inhibits the LPS-induced inflammatory and oxidative responses via suppression of NF-κB activation and the enhancement of Nrf2 activation. We suggest that CDEE may be therapeutic for treating inflammatory diseases.

A critical challenge hindering the practical application of lithium–oxygen batteries(LOBs)is the inevitable problems associated with liquid electrolytes,such as evaporation and safety *** study addresses these problems by proposing a modified polyrotaxane(mPR)-based solid polymer electrolyte(SPE)design that simultaneously mitigates solvent-related problems and improves ***-SPE exhibits high ion conductivity(2.8×10^(−3)S cm^(−1)at 25℃)through aligned ion conduction pathways and provides electrode protection ability through hydrophobic chain *** this mPR-SPE into solid-state LOBs resulted in stable potentials over 300 *** situ Raman spectroscopy reveals the presence of an LiO_(2)intermediate alongside Li_(2)O_(2)during oxygen *** situ X-ray diffraction confirm the ability of the SPE to hinder the permeation of oxygen and moisture,as demonstrated by the air permeability *** present study suggests that maintaining a low residual solvent while achieving high ionic conductivity is crucial for restricting the sub-reactions of solid-state LOBs.

Topology optimization of reactive material structures for penetrative projectiles

Recently,reactive materials have been developed for penetrative projectiles to improve impact resistance and energy ***,the design of a reactive material structure,involving shape and size,is challenging because of difficulties such as high non-linearity of impact resistance,manufacturing limitations of reactive materials and high expenses of penetration *** this study,a design optimization methodology for the reactive material structure is developed based on the finite element analysis.A finite element model for penetration analysis is introduced to save the expenses of the *** resistance is assessed through the analysis,and result is calibrated by comparing with experimental *** on the model,topology optimization is introduced to determine shape of the *** design variables and constraints of the optimization are proposed considering the manufacturing limitations,and the optimal shape that can be manufactured by cold spraying is *** on the optimal shape,size optimization is introduced to determine the geometric dimensions of the *** a result,optimal design of the reactive material structure and steel case of the penetrative projectile,which maximizes the impact resistance,is *** the design process proposed in this study,reactive material structures can be designed considering not only mechanical performances but also manufacturing limitations,with reasonable time and cost.

Risk factors for immediate post-operative fatal recurrence after curative resection of hepatocellular carcinoma

AIM： To investigate the clinicopathological risk factors for immediate post-operative fatal recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）, which may have practical implication and contribute to establishing high risk patients for pre- or post-operative preventive measures against HCC recurrence. METHODS： From June 1994 to May 2004, 269 patients who received curative resection for HCC were reviewed. Of these patients, those who demonstrated diffuse intrahepatic or multiple systemic recurrent lesions within 6 mo after surgery were investigated （fatal recurrence group）. The remaining patients were designated as the control group, and the two groups were compared for clinicopathologic risk factors. RESULTS： Among the 269 patients reviewed, 30 patients were enrolled in the fatal recurrence group. Among the latter, 20 patients showed diffuse intrahepatic recurrence type and 10 showed multiple systemic recurrence type. Multivariate analysis between the fatal recurrence group and control group showed that preoperative serum alpha-fetoprotein （AFP） level was greater than 1 000 μg/L （P= 0.02; odds ratio = 2.98）, tumor size greater than 6.5 cm （P= 0.03; OR= 2.98）, and presence of microvascular invasion （P= 0.01; OR=4.89） were the risk factors in the fatal recurrence group. The 48.1% of the patients who had all the three risk factors and the 220 of those who had two risk factors experienced fatal recurrence within 6 mo after surgery. CONCLUSION： Three distinct risk factors for immediate post-operative fatal recurrence of HCC after curative resection are pre-operative serum AFP level 〉 1 000 μg/L,tumor size〉6.5 cm, and microvascular invasion. The high risk patients with two or more risk factors should be the candidates for various adjuvant clinical trials.
