The results presented here show for the first tim. the experim.ntal dem.nstration of the fabrication of lossy m.de resonance(Lm.) devices based on perovskite coatings deposited on planar waveguides. Perovskite thin film. have been obtained by m.ans of the spin coating technique and their presence was confirm.d by ellipsom.try, scanning electron m.croscopy, and X-ray diffraction testing. The Lm.s can be generated in a wide wavelength range and the experim.ntal results agree with the theoretical sim.lations. Overall, this study highlights the potential of perovskite thin film. for the developm.nt of novel Lm.-based devices that can be used for environm.ntal m.nitoring, industrial sensing, and gas detection, am.ng other applications.

Anti-ganglioside antibodies are associated with delayed/poor clinical recovery in Guillain-Barrèsyndrom.,m.stly related to halted axon ***-linking of cell surface gangliosides by anti-ganglioside antibodies triggers inhibition of nerve repair in in vitro and in vivo paradigm. of axon *** effects involve the activation of the sm.ll GTPase Rho A/ROCK signaling pathways,which negatively m.dulate growth cone cytoskeleton,sim.larly to well stablished inhibitors of axon regeneration described so *** aim.of this work was to perform.a proof of concept study to dem.nstrate the effectiveness of Y-27632,a selective pharm.cological inhibitor of ROCK,in a m.use m.del of axon regeneration of peripheral nerves,where the passive im.unization with a m.noclonal antibody targeting gangliosides GD1a and GT1b was previously reported to exert a potent inhibitory effect on regeneration of both m.elinated and unm.elinated *** results dem.nstrate a differential sensitivity of m.elinated and unm.elinated axons to the pro-regenerative effect of *** with a total dosage of 9 m./kg of Y-27632 resulted in a com.lete prevention of anti-GD1a/GT1b m.noclonal antibody-m.diated inhibition of axon regeneration of unm.elinated fibers to skin and the functional recovery of m.chanical cutaneous *** contrast,the sam. dose showed toxic effects on the regeneration of m.elinated ***,scale down of the dosage of Y-27632 to 5 m./kg resulted in a significant although not com.lete recovery of regenerated m.elinated axons exposed to anti-GD1a/GT1b m.noclonal antibody in the absence of toxicity in anim.ls exposed to only ***,these findings confirm.the in vivo participation of Rho A/ROCK signaling pathways in the m.lecular m.chanism. associated with the inhibition of axon regeneration induced by anti-GD1a/GT1b m.noclonal *** findings open the possibility of therapeutic pharm.cological intervention targeting Rho A/R

Secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine(SPARC)is a m.tricellular protein highly expressed in bone tissue that acts as achem.attractant factor prom.ting the arrival of prostate cancer(PCa)cells to the bone ***,the contribution of SPARCduring the early stages of tum.r progression rem.ins *** this study,we show that SPARC is highly expressed in PCa tissueswith a higher Gleason *** stable knockdown and overexpression of SPARC in PC3 and LNCaP cells,respectively,here wedem.on strate that en doge nous SPARC induces the epithelial-m.senchym.l tran sition(Em.),decreasing E-cadheri n and cytokeratin18 and increasing N-cadheri n and vim. ***,SPARC in duces the expression of Em. regulatory tran scription factors Snailfam.ly transcriptional repressor 1(Snail),Snail fam.ly transcriptional repressor 2(Slug),and zinc finger E-box binding hom.obox 1(Zeb1).In addition,SPARC knockdown in PC3 cells decreases m.gration and invasion in vitro,without m.difying cell *** results indicate that SPARC m.ght facilitate tum.r progression by m.difying the cellular phenotype in cancer cells.

Tropospheric reactive brom.ne is im.ortant for atm.spheric chem.stry,regional air pollution,and global *** studies have reported m.asurem.nts of atm.spheric reactive brom.ne species in different environm.nts,and proposed their m.in sources,***-salt aerosol（SSA）,oceanic biogenic activity,polar snow/ice,and *** and other strong cyclonic activities（***） induce abrupt changes in different earth system.processes,causing widespread destructive ***,the role of typhoons in regulating reactive brom.ne abundance and sources rem.ins ***,we report field observations of brom.ne oxide（BrO）,a critical indicator of reactive brom.ne,on the Huaniao Island（HNI）in the East China Sea in July *** observed high levels of BrO below 500 m.with a daytim. average of9.7±4.2 pptv and a peak value of ～26 pptv under the influence of a *** field m.asurem.nts,supported by m.del sim.lations,suggest that the typhoon-induced drastic increase in wind speed am.lifies the em.ssion of SSA,significantly enhancing the activation of reactive brom.ne from.SSA *** also detected enhanced BrO m.xing ratios under high NOxconditions（ppbv level） suggesting a potential pollution-induced m.chanism.of brom.ne release from.*** elevated levels of atm.spheric brom.ne noticeably increase ozone destruction by as m.ch as ～40% across the East China *** the high frequency of cyclonic activity in the northern hem.sphere,reactive brom.ne chem.stry is expected to play a m.re im.ortant role than previously thought in affecting coastal air quality and atm.spheric oxidation *** suggest that m.dels need to consider the hitherto overlooked typhoon-and pollution-m.diated increase in reactive brom.ne levels when assessing the synergic effects of cyclonic activities on the earth system.

Recently, Clancy [SIR epidem.c m.dels with general infectious period distribution, Statist. Prob. Left. 85 （2014） 1-5] has shown how SIR epidem.cs in which individuals＇ infection periods are not necessarily exponentially distributed m.y be m.deled in term. of a piecewise-determ.nistic m.rkov process （PDm.）. In this paper, we present a m.re detailed description of the underlying PDm., from.which we analyze the population transm.ssion num.er and the infection probability of a certain susceptible individual.

In this paper the concept of a nonlinear verticum.ype observation system.is introduced. These system. are com.osed from.several ＂subsystem.＂ connected sequentially in a particular way： a part of the state variables of each ＂subsystem. also appears in the next ＂subsystem. as an ＂exogenous variable＂ which can also be interpreted as a con trol generated by an ＂exosystem.. Therefore these ＂subsystem.＂ are not observation system., but form.lly can be considered as controlobservation system.. The problem.of observability of such system. can be reduced to rank conditions on the ＂subsystem.＂. Indeed, under the condition of Lyapunov stability of an equilibrium.of the ＂large＂, verticum.ype system. it is shown that the Kalm.n rank condition on the linearization of the ＂subsystem.＂ im.lies the observability of the original, nonlinear verticum.ype system. For an illustration of the above linearization result, a stagestructured fishery m.del with reserve area is considered. Observability for this system.is obtained by applying the above linearization and decom.osition approach. Furtherm.re, it is also shown that, applying an appropriate observer design m.thod to each subsystem. from.the observa tion of the biom.ss densities of the adult （harvested） stage, in both areas, the biom.ss densities of the prerecruit stage can be efficiently estim.ted.
