Reliability Analysis of HEE Parameters via Progressive Type-II Censoring with Applications

A new extended exponential lifetime model called harris extended-exponential(HEE)distribution for data modelling with increasing and decreasing hazard rate shapes has been *** the reliability context,researchers prefer to use censoring plans to collect data in order to achieve a compromise between total test time and/or test sample ***,this study considers both maximum likelihood and Bayesian estimates of the harris extended-exponential distribution parameters and some of its reliability indices using a progressive Type-II censoring *** the premise of independent gamma priors,the Bayesian estimation is created using the squared-error and general entropy loss *** to the challenging form of the joint posterior distribution,to evaluate the Bayes estimates,samples from the full conditional distributions are generated using Markov Chain Monte Carlo *** each unknown parameter,the highest posterior density credible intervals and asymptotic confidence intervals are also *** a simulated study,the usefulness of the various suggested strategies is *** optimal progressive censoring plans are also shown,and various optimality criteria are *** actual data sets,taken from engineering and veterinary medicine areas,are analyzed to show how the offered point and interval estimators can be used in practice and to verify that the proposed model furnishes a good fit than other lifetimemodels:alpha power exponential,generalized-exponential,Nadarajah-haghighi,Weibull,Lomax,gamma and exponential *** evaluations revealed that in the presence of progressively Type-II censored data,the Bayes estimation method against the squared-error(symmetric)loss is advised for getting the point and interval estimates of the HEE distribution.

The Internet of Drones(IoD)offers synchronized access to organized airspace for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(known as drones).The availability of inexpensive sensors,processors,and wireless communication makes it possible in real time *** several applications comprise IoD in real time environment,significant interest has been received by research *** IoD operates in wireless environment,it is needed to design effective intrusion detection system(IDS)to resolve security issues in the IoD *** article introduces ametaheuristics feature selection with optimal stacked autoencoder based intrusion detection(MFSOSAEID)in the IoD *** major intention of the MFSOSAE-ID technique is to identify the occurrence of intrusions in the IoD *** do so,the proposed MFSOSAE-ID technique firstly pre-processes the input data into a compatible *** addition,the presented MFSOSAEID technique designs a moth flame optimization based feature selection(MFOFS)technique to elect appropriate ***,firefly algorithm(FFA)with stacked autoencoder(SAE)model is employed for the recognition and classification of intrusions in which the SAE parameters are optimally tuned with utilize of *** performance validation of the MFSOSAE-ID model was tested utilizing benchmark dataset and the outcomes implied the promising performance of the MFSOSAE-ID model over other techniques with maximum accuracy of 99.72%.

Purpose:Evaluation of the patency and position of perforated lacrimal punctal plugs implanted for treating punctal stenosis together with quantitative assessment of the precorneal tear film using anterior segment optical coherence tomography(AS-OCT).Methods:In a prospective study,the lower punctum of 54 eyes of 29 patients implanted with perforated punctal plugs were examined using AS-OCT during the early postoperative *** tear meniscus height(TMH)and tear meniscus area(TMA)were ***,the patency of the plug,its position,TMH and TMA were evaluated,and the results were correlated with postoperative *** scale was used for epiphora ***:Using AS-OCT,48(88.9%)plugs were found in proper position while 6(11.1%)were *** lumen of the plugs was completely patent in 47(87%)plugs,partially obstructed in 2(3.7%)plugs and completely occluded in 5(9.2%)*** was a statistically significant postoperative decrease of TMH and TMA(Phat can detect the proper positioning,patency,and contents of the implanted perforated lacrimal punctal plugs in addition to measurement of TMH and TMA.

A Credit-Based Approach for Overcoming Free-Riding Behaviour in Peer-to-Peer Networks

The underlying premise of peer-to-peer(P2P)systems is the trading of digital resources among individual peers to facilitate file sharing,distributed computing,storage,collaborative applications and multimedia ***-called free-riders challenge the foundations of this system by consuming resources from other peers without offering any resources in return,hindering resource exchange among ***,immense effort has been invested in discouraging free-riding and overcoming the ill effects of such unfair use of the ***,previous efforts have all fallen short of effectively addressing free-riding behaviour in P2P *** paper proposes a novel approach based on utilising a credit incentive for P2P networks,wherein a grace period is introduced during which free-riders must reimburse *** contrast to previous approaches,the proposed system takes into consideration the upload rate of peers and a grace *** system has been thoroughly tested in a simulated environment,and the results show that the proposed approach effectively mitigates free-riding *** to previous systems,the number of downloads from free-riders decreased while downloads by contributing peers *** results also show that under longer grace periods,the number of downloads by fast peers(those reimbursing the system within the grace period)was greater than the number of downloads by slow peers.

Although the precise mechanisms contributing to secondary brain injury following traumatic brain injury are complex and obscure,a number of studies have demonstrated that inflammatory responses are an obvious and early feature in the pathogenesis of traumatic brain *** are multiprotein complexes that prompt the stimulation of caspase-1 and subsequently induce the maturation and secretion of proinflammatory cytokines,such as interleukin-1β and *** cytokines play a pivotal role in facilitating innate immune responses and *** various inflammasome complexes,the NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing 3(NLRP3)inflammasome is the best characterized,a crucial role for NLRP3 has been demonstrated in various brain diseases,including traumatic brain *** recent studies have revealed the contribution of NLRP3 inflammasome in identifying cellular damage and stimulating inflammatory responses to aseptic tissue injury after traumatic brain *** more important,blocking or inhibiting the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome may have substantial potential to salvage tissue damage during traumatic brain *** this review,we summarize recently described mechanisms that are involved in the activation and regulation of the NLRP3 ***,we review the recent investigations on the contribution of the NLRP3 inflammasome in the pathophysiology of TBI,and current advances and challenges in potential NLRP3-targeted therapies.A significant contribution of NLRP3 inflammasome activation to traumatic brain injury implies that therapeutic approaches focused on targeting specific inflammasome components could significantly improve the traumatic brain injury outcomes.

Software Product Line(SPL)is a group of software-intensive systems that share common and variable resources for developing a particular *** feature model is a tree-type structure used to manage SPL’s common and variable features with their different relations and problem of Crosstree Constraints(CTC).CTC problems exist in groups of common and variable features among the sub-tree of feature models more diverse in Internet of Things(IoT)devices because different Internet devices and protocols are ***,managing the CTC problem to achieve valid product configuration in IoT-based SPL is more complex,time-consuming,and ***,the CTC problem needs to be considered in previously proposed approaches such as Commonality VariabilityModeling of Features(COVAMOF)andGenarch+tool;therefore,invalid products are *** research has proposed a novel approach Binary Oriented Feature Selection Crosstree Constraints(BOFS-CTC),to find all possible valid products by selecting the features according to cardinality constraints and cross-tree constraint problems in the featuremodel of ***-CTC removes the invalid products at the early stage of feature selection for the product ***,this research developed the BOFS-CTC algorithm and applied it to,IoT-based feature *** findings of this research are that no relationship constraints and CTC violations occur and drive the valid feature product configurations for the application development by removing the invalid product *** accuracy of BOFS-CTC is measured by the integration sampling technique,where different valid product configurations are compared with the product configurations derived by BOFS-CTC and found 100%*** BOFS-CTC eliminates the testing cost and development effort of invalid SPL products.

Objective:To evaluate vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)levels in hepatocellular carcinoma patients before and after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)and percutaneous ethanol injection(PEI)and its relation to treatment ***:A total of 40 patients with unrespectable hepatocelluar carcinoma were assessed *** patients were suitable to be treated by TACE,while other 20patients were treated with *** VEGF levels were measured before and 1 month after each procedure by *** was assessed after 1 month according to Union Internationale Contre le Cancer evaluation criteria based on change in tumor size as measured by ***:There was no significant difference between TACE and PEI groups with regard to age,sex,tumor size,response to local therapy,or VEGF and alpha-fetoprotein before and after *** levels after TACE were significantly higher than before TACE[(298.1±123.6)pg/m L vs.(205.8±307.3)pg/m L;P=0.001].Also,VEGF levels were significantly higher after PEI than before PEI[(333.8±365.6)pg/m L vs.(245.3±301.8)pg/m L;P=0.000].Non-responders of both groups had significantly high VEGF levels than responder's,both before[(985.0±113.2)pg/m L vs.(117.1±75.3)pg/m L;Ped with an increase in serum VEGF in hepatocelluar carcinoma *** levels of VEGF before and after therapy were found in non-responders,suggesting that VEGF is a useful marker in predicting treatment response.

Objective:To assess the anion gap (AG) validity in prediction the goat's fertility before ***: This study was carried out on two groups (20/20, aged 4–6 years and weighted 30–43 kg) of pluriparous pregnant Baladi goats. Animals were subjected to clinical examination, blood sampling to assess serum biochemical parameters in correlation with utrasonographic assessment of uterine horn involution (UTI) and placental dropping time after kidding. Unpaired studentt–test was used to detect the significance of differences (Ped to study the relationships among the different assessed parameters, analysis (r) was assigned atPed that there were highly significant differences (Ped goats concerning Cl–, K+, Na+, P, Mg2+, Total/Ca2+, albumin, glucose and AG. Goats suffered from dystocia having high levels of HCO3–, cortisol and lactate. Additionally, there were significant differences (Ped goat does regarding the process of UTI starting from 3rd to 10th wk after parturition. Furthermore, there was a highly significant difference (Ped goat does concerning their placental dropping time;where, distressed/abnormally parturated goat having the longest time. Furthermore, there were highly strong correlation coefficient between Mg2+, K+, Na+, HCO3–, glucose, albumin, AG and corrected AG concentrations during goat's prepartum period and UTI, placental dropping ***:Reporting serum bio-chemical changes and AG during goat's prepartum period could be used as diagnostic tool to judge the normality of parturition process, placental dropping, UTI and genital health, in other word, could be used as predictor for goat's fertility prior to parturition.
