Diabetic retinopathy is a critical eye condition that,if not treated,can lead to vision *** methods of diagnosing and treating the disease are time-consuming and ***,machine learning and deep transfer learning(DTL)techniques have shown promise in medical applications,including detecting,classifying,and segmenting diabetic *** advanced techniques offer higher accuracy and *** Diagnosis(CAD)is crucial in speeding up classification and providing accurate disease ***,these technological advancements hold great potential for improving the management of diabetic *** study’s objective was to differentiate between different classes of diabetes and verify the model’s capability to distinguish between these *** robustness of the model was evaluated using other metrics such as accuracy(ACC),precision(PRE),recall(REC),and area under the curve(AUC).In this particular study,the researchers utilized data cleansing techniques,transfer learning(TL),and convolutional neural network(CNN)methods to effectively identify and categorize the various diseases associated with diabetic retinopathy(DR).They employed the VGG-16CNN model,incorporating intelligent parameters that enhanced its *** outcomes surpassed the results obtained by the auto enhancement(AE)filter,which had an ACC of over 98%.The manuscript provides visual aids such as graphs,tables,and techniques and frameworks to enhance *** study highlights the significance of optimized deep TL in improving the metrics of the classification of the four separate classes of *** manuscript emphasizes the importance of using the VGG16CNN classification technique in this context.

In the last few years,videos became the most common form of information transmitted over the internet,and a lot of the traffic is confidential and must be protected and delivered safely to its intended *** introduces the challenges of presenting encryption systems that can encode videos securely and efficiently at the same *** paper presents an efficient opto-video encryption system using Logistic Adjusted Sine map(LASm)in the Fractional Fourier Transform(FrFT).In the presented opto-video LASm-based FrFT scheme,the encoded video is split into distinct frames and transformed into optical signals utilizing an optical *** of the developed optical video frames is ciphered by utilizing the LASm in optical FrFT system using two-phase modulation forms on the video frame,the first in the time-domain and the second in the FrFT *** the end,the ciphervideo frame is spotted utilizing a CCD digital camera and transformed into a digital structure that can be managed using a *** test the proposed opto-video LASm-based FrFT scheme using various security *** outcomes demonstrate that the presented scheme can effectively encrypt and decrypt video *** addition,it encrypts videos with a high level of encryption qualitywithout sacrificing its resistance to noise ***,the test outcomes demonstrate that the presented scheme is immune to known attacks.

Recently,nano-systems based on molecular communications via diffusion(mCvD)have been implemented in a variety of nanomedical applications,most notably in targeted drug delivery system(TDDS)***,because the mCvD is unreliable and there exists molecular noise and inter symbol interference(ISI),cooperative nano-relays can acquire the reliability for drug delivery to targeted diseased cells,especially if the separation distance between the nano transmitter and nano receiver is *** this work,we propose an approach for optimizing the performance of the nano system using cooperative molecular communications with a nano relay scheme,while accounting for blood flow effects in terms of drift *** fractions of the molecular drug that should be allocated to the nano transmitter and nano relay positioning are computed using a collaborative optimization problem solved by themodified Central Force Optimization(mCFO)*** the previous work,the probability of bit error is expressed in a closed-form *** is used as an objective function to determine the optimal velocity of the drug molecules and the detection threshold at the nano *** simulation results show that the probability of bit error can be dramatically reduced by optimizing the drift velocity,detection threshold,location of the nano-relay in the proposed nano system,and molecular drug budget.

Twenty-four rice genotypes were examined to assess genetic variability,heritability,and correlations for seven-grain quality traits,eight nutritional elements,and *** revealed signiﬁcant differences for the quality traits *** every trait under study,the phenotypic coefﬁcient of variation was higher than the correspon-dence genotypic coefﬁcient of *** in a broad sense varied from 29.75%for grain length to 98.31%for the elongation *** percentage recovery had a highly signiﬁcant positive correlation with milling and head rice ***,milling percentage had a highly positive correlation with head rice *** amylose percentage,all the genotypes belonged to low amylose except the Hassawi-1 variety,which had intermediate amylose *** nutrition contents of magnesium(mg),sodium(Na),potas-sium(K),calcium(Ca),copper(Cu),manganese(mn),zinc(Zn),iron(Fe),or protein percentage gave different variations for 24 rice genotypes under all the nutritional *** the 24 genotypes,ten rice genotypes–HighNutrient-1,HighNutrient-2,HighNutrient-9,HighNutrient-8,HighNutrient-3,Hassawi-2,HighNutrient-7,HighNutrient-6,Hassawi-1,and HighNutrient-4–had the highest heist value for all nutritional and protein con-tents,and could be used as a donor to improving new *** was a positive and signiﬁcant correlation between magnesium mg,K,Zn and ***,K had a positive correlation with zinc Zn,Fe,and protein *** analysis was divided into two groups:theﬁrst group included all genotypes rich in nutri-ents,while the remaining genotypes with low nutritional content were included in the second group.

Anion gap as bio-diagnostic index in prediction of dystocia, retained placenta and delayed uterine involution of Baladi goat (Field study)

Objective:To assess the anion gap (AG) validity in prediction the goat's fertility before ***: This study was carried out on two groups (20/20, aged 4–6 years and weighted 30–43 kg) of pluriparous pregnant Baladi goats. Animals were subjected to clinical examination, blood sampling to assess serum biochemical parameters in correlation with utrasonographic assessment of uterine horn involution (UTI) and placental dropping time after kidding. Unpaired studentt–test was used to detect the significance of differences (Pelation coefficient was used to study the relationships among the different assessed parameters, analysis (r) was assigned atPme statistics ***:Results revealed that there were highly significant differences (Pmally and abnormally parturated goats concerning Cl–, K+, Na+, P, mg2+, Total/Ca2+, albumin, glucose and AG. Goats suffered from dystocia having high levels of HCO3–, cortisol and lactate. Additionally, there were significant differences (Pmally and abnormally parturated goat does regarding the process of UTI starting from 3rd to 10th wk after parturition. Furthermore, there was a highly significant difference (Pmally and abnormally parturated goat does concerning their placental dropping time;where, distressed/abnormally parturated goat having the longest time. Furthermore, there were highly strong correlation coefficient between mg2+, K+, Na+, HCO3–, glucose, albumin, AG and corrected AG concentrations during goat's prepartum period and UTI, placental dropping ***:Reporting serum bio-chemical changes and AG during goat's prepartum period could be used as diagnostic tool to judge the normality of parturition process, placental dropping, UTI and genital health, in other word, could be used as predictor for goat's fertility prior to parturition.

Hydrophobic polyethersulfone porous membranes for membrane distillation

membrane distillation （mD） is a thermal, vapor-driven transportation process through micro porous hydrophobic membranes that is increasingly being applied to seawater and brine desalination processes. Two types of hydrophobic microporous polyethersulfone fiat sheet membranes, namely, annealed polyethersulfone and a polyethersulfone/tetraethoxysilane （PES/TEOS） blend were prepared by a phase inversion process. The membranes were characterized and their performances were investigated using the vacuum membrane distillation of an aqueous NaCI solution. The performances of the prepared membranes were also compared with two commercially available hydrophobic membranes, polyte- trafluorethylene and polyvinylidene fluoride. The influence of operational parameters such as feed temperature （25-65 ℃）, permeate vacuum pressure （200 800 mbar）, feed flow rate （8-22 mL/s） and feed salt concentration （3000 to 35000 mg/L） on the mD permeation flux were investigated for the four membranes. The hydrophobic PES/TEOS membrane had the highest salt rejection （99.7%） and permeate flux （86 kg/（m^2 -h）） at 65 ℃, with a feed of 7000 ppm and a pressure of 200 mbar.

Time and space complexity is themost critical problemof the current routing optimization algorithms for Software Defined Networking(SDN).To overcome this complexity,researchers use meta-heuristic techniques inside the routing optimization algorithms in the OpenFlow(OF)based large scale *** paper proposes a hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm to optimize the dynamic routing problem for the large scale *** to the dynamic nature of SDNs,the proposed algorithm uses amutation operator to overcome the memory-based problem of the ant colony ***,it uses the box-covering method and the k-means clustering method to divide the SDN network to overcome the problemof time and space *** results of the proposed algorithm compared with the results of other similar algorithms and it shows that the proposed algorithm can handle the dynamic network changing,reduce the network congestion,the delay and running times and the packet loss rates.

Barrett's esophagus:Prevalence and risk factors in patients with chronic GERD in Upper Egypt

AIm： To determine the prevalence and possible risk factors of Barrett＇s esophagus （BE） in patients with chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease （GERD） in EI minya and Assuit, Upper Egypt. mETHODS： One thousand consecutive patients with chronic GERD symptoms were included in the study over 2 years. They were subjected to history taking including a questionnaire for GERD symptoms, clinical examination and upper digestive tract endoscopy. Endoscopic signs suggestive of columnar-lined esophagus （CLE） were defined as mucosal tongues or an upward shift of the squamocolumnar junction. BF was diagnosed by pathological examination when specialized intestinal metaplasia was detected histologically in suspected CLE. pH was monitored in 40 patients. RESULTS： BE was present in 7.3% of patients with chronic GERD symptoms, with a mean age of 48.3 ± 8.2 years, which was significantly higher than patients with GERD without BE （37.4 ± 13.6 years）. Adenocarcinoma was detected in eight cases （0.8%）, six of them in BE patients. There was no significant difference between patients with BE and GERD regarding sex, smoking, alcohol consumption or symptoms of GERD. Patients with BE had significantly longer esophageal acid exposure time in the supine position, measured by pH monitoring. CONCLUSION： The prevalence of BE in patients with GERD who were referred for endoscopy was 7.3%. BE seems to be associated with older age and more in patients with nocturnal gastroesophageal reflux.

Preparation of PVC/PVP composite polymer membranes via phase inversion process for water treatment purposes

In this work, new composite membranes were successfully prepared via phase inversion technique using polyvinyl chloride(PVC) and polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) as polymers and tetrahydrofuran(THF) and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NmP) as solvents. The prepared membranes have been characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEm), and fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). The scanning electron microscope results prove that the prepared membranes are smooth and their pores are distributed throughout the whole surface and bulk body of the membrane without any visible cracks. The stress–strain mechanical test showed an excellent mechanical behavior enhanced by the presence of PVP in the prepared membranes. The membranes performance results showed that the salt rejection reached 98% with a high flux. This, in turn, makes the prepared membranes can be applied for sea and brackish water treatment through membrane distillation technology.
