here,we report a previously unrecognized syndromic neurodevelopmental disorder associated with biallelic loss-of-function variants in the RBM42 *** patient is a 2-year-old female with severe central nervous system(CNs)abnormalities,hypotonia,hearing loss,congenital heart defects,and dysmorphic facial *** whole-exome sequencing(WEs)reveals that the patient has two compound heterozygous variants,c.304C>T(p.R102*)and c.1312g>A(p.A438T),in the RBM42 gene which encodes an integral component of splicing complex in the RNA-binding motif protein *** p.A438T variant is in the RRM domain which impairs RBM42 pro-tein stability in ***,p.A438T disrupts the interaction of RBM42 with hnRNp K,which is the causa-tive gene for Au-Kline syndrome with overlapping disease characteristics seen in the index *** human R102*or A438T mutant protein failed to fully rescue the growth defects of RBM42 ortholog knockout△FgRbp1 in Fusarium while it was rescued by the wild-type(WT)human RBM42.A mouse model carying Rbm42 compound heterozygous variants,c.280C>T(p.Q94*)and c.1306_1308delinsACA(p.A436T),demonstrated gross fetal develop-mental defects and most of the double mutant animals died by ***-seq data confirmed that Rbm42 was involved in neurological and myocardial functions with an essential role in alternative splicing(As).Overall,we present clinical,genetic,and functional data to demonstrate that defects in RBM42 constitute the underlying etiology of a new neurodevelopmental disease which links the dysregulation of global AS to abnormal embryonic development.

改性方法对柠檬皮渣粉结构及功能特性的影响

为提高柠檬皮渣粉的品质及柠檬加工副产物综合利用率,本研究采用微波、高速剪切、超微粉碎三种方式对柠檬皮渣粉进行改性,通过扫描电镜、傅里叶红外光谱、热重分析对改性前后的形态结构、热稳定性进行分析,并对理化、功能特性进行测定以评价不同改性柠檬皮渣粉的综合品质。结果表明,三种改性使柠檬皮渣粉结构变得疏松;改性后主要官能团未发生明显变化;微波、高速剪切处理显著提高了柠檬皮渣粉的热稳定性(pg/g、2.00 g/g、34.99 mL/g,并具有最佳的阳离子交换能力、延迟葡萄糖透析的能力、吸附葡萄糖能力、吸附胆固醇能力,因此具有与膳食纤维(Dietary fiber,DF)类似的理化和功能特性。相关性分析提示,柠檬皮渣粉中SDF含量与各理化、功能指标之间呈极显著正相关(p<0.01)。综上,提高SDF含量可作为改善柠檬皮渣粉品质的一个参考指标,经高速剪切改性后的柠檬皮渣粉具有作为优质DF来源的潜力,这可为提高柠檬皮渣粉的品质及其作为潜在的功能性食品配料提供一定理论参考。

Association of g-protein coupled purinergic receptor p2Y2 with ischemic stroke in a Han Chinese population of North China

The g-protein-coupled purinergic receptor p2Y2(p2RY2) plays an important role in the mechanism of atherosclerosis, which is relevant to ischemic stroke. This retrospective case-control study aimed to assess the relationship between p2RY2 gene polymorphisms and ischemic stroke risk in the northern Han Chinese population. In this study, clinical data and peripheral blood specimens were collected from 378 ischemic stroke patients and 344 controls. The ischemic stroke participants were recruited from the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning Medical University. The controls were recruited from the health Check Center at the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University. Ischemic stroke patients were divided into two subgroups according to the Trial of ORg 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment(TOAST) classification: large-artery atherosclerosis(n = 178) and small-artery occlusion(n = 200) strokes. All subjects were genotyped for three single nucleotide polymorphisms(rs4944831, rs1783596, and rs4944832) in the p2RY2 gene using peripheral venous blood samples. The distribution of the dominant rs4944832 phenotype(gg vs. gA+AA) differed significantly between small-artery occlusion patients and control subjects(odds ratio(OR) = 1.720, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.203–2.458, p gistic regression analysis revealed that the gg genotype of rs4944832 was significantly more prevalent in small-artery occlusion patients than in control subjects(OR = 1.807, 95% CI: 1.215–2.687, p he overall distribution of the haplotype established by rs4944831-rs1783596-rs4944832 was significantly different between ischemic stroke patients and controls(p hemic stroke patients, the frequency of the g-C-g haplotype was significantly higher than in control subjects(p = 0.028), whereas the frequency of the T-C-A haplotype was lower than in control subjects(p = 0.047). MnWO_(4)/WO_(3) p-n heterojunction films were fabricated using a one-step method consisting of the plasma electrolytic oxidation(pEO)of titanium in homogeneous electrolytes containing paratungstate ions and stable watersoluble EDTA-chelated *** influences of the formation current density and W:Mn molar ratio of the electrolyte,which was varied from 1:2 to 2:1,on the composition,morphology,and optical and photocatalytic properties of the resulting coatings were studied.X-ray diffraction analysis,scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray analysis,Raman spectroscopy,and ultraviolet diffuse reflectance spectroscopy were used to characterize the formed *** of the W:Mn ratio of the electrolyte,the coatings contained crystalline t-WO_(3) and m-MnWO_(4).Depending on the formation conditions,the optical band gap energies of the composites varied from 2.63 to 3.01 *** largest absorption red shift and lowest band gap energy were observed in the film composite formed in an electrolyte with W:Mn=2:1,at a current density of 0.2 A cm^(−2).Composites obtained in electrolytes with W:Mn ratios of 2:1 and 1:1 exhibited photocatalytic activity in the degradation of rhodamine C and methyl orange dyes in the presence of 10 mmol L^(–1) H2O_(2) under ultraviolet and visible light *** role of hydrogen peroxide in this dye degradation on pEO-coated composites under light irradiation is discussed.

旨在探究弱光及干旱条件下丛枝菌根真菌(AMF)对切花月季光合、AsA-gSH循环以及渗透调节物质的影响。盆栽条件下设置100%全光照(L1)、50%全光照(L2)2个光照处理组,80%土壤持水量(W1)和40%土壤持水量(W2)2个水分处理组,接种AMF[变形球囊霉(glomus versiforme)+异形根孢囊霉(Rhizophagus irregularis)]及不接种对照(CK)共8个处理。结果表明,AMF能够侵染切花月季根系,显著提高切花月季生长品质。弱光和/或干旱胁迫下,与不接种对照相比,接种AMF能有效地促进切花月季叶片的净光合速率(p_(n))、蒸腾速率(T_(r))、气孔导度(g_(s))和水分利用效率(WUE)增加,降低细胞间隙CO_(2)浓度(C_(i));在L2W2处理条件下,与不接种对照相比,接种AMF使切花月季叶片中的抗坏血酸过氧化物酶(ApX)、谷胱甘肽还原酶(gR)、单脱氢抗坏血酸还原酶(MDAR)和脱氢抗坏血酸还原酶(DHAR)活性分别提高5.2%、15.4%、21.7%和35.9%;接种AMF的抗坏血酸(AsA)含量与对照处理无显著差异,还原型谷胱甘肽(gSH)含量提高8.1%,gSH/gSSg比值增加7.9%;接种AMF后切花月季丙二醛(MDA)含量显著降低,可溶性糖、可溶性蛋白和脯氨酸(pro)含量明显增加。结论认为AMF通过维持AsA/DHA和gSH/gSSg的稳定,提高AsA-gSH循环中相关酶活性,增加切花月季叶片可溶性糖、可溶性蛋白和脯氨酸含量而降低MDA含量来适应水分和光照的变化,形成适应光照和水分条件变化的生理生态对策来改善切花月季生长品质。

The ILux^(®) compared to the mechanical meibomian gland expression for the treatment of moderate and severe meibomian gland dysfunction

Contraceptive behaviors and awareness in an urban slum community of south India
