The synthesis,characterization and luminescent properties of aluminum complexes containing a dianionic N-aryloxo functionalized β-ketoiminate ligand are presented.4-(2-Hydroxy-5-R-phenyl)imino-2-pentanone (R=Me,L 1 H 2;R=tert-butyl,L 2 H 2) ligands reacted with AlEt 3 in tetrahydrofuran to give the aluminum complexes (L 1 AlEt) 2 (1) and (L 2 AlEt) 2 (2) in reasonable isolated yields.X-ray diffraction revealed that complexes 1 and 2 have solvent-free centrosymmetric dimeric structures,and each aluminum center has distorted trigonal bipyramidal *** room temperature,complexes 1 and 2 exhibit blue photoluminescence in acetonitrile with maximum emission wavelengths of 419 and 413 nm,respectively.

＜正＞Thalidomide [2-（2,6-dioxopiperidin-3-y1）-1H-isoindole-1,3（2H）-dione, 1a] was first marketed in 1950’s, but it was withdrawn in 1962 for it’s serious teratogenic effects. In recent years, it was found that thalidomide had good effect in erythema nodosum leprosum （ENL） and great potentials in cancer, graft rejection, rheumatoid arthritis and so on. A great number of thalidomide analogues had been synthesized and evaluated. Among them, 2-deoxythalidomide or EM-12 （2a） was found to be at least as potent as thalidomide in the antiangiogenic activity. Luzzio reported four methods of synthesis of EM-12. here we will report a convenient synthesis of EM-12 and its analogue with no using of high toxic mercury（II） chloride. ＜正＞ Methyl hexahydrogen phthatlic Anhydride （MHHPA） is one of the importantnew type curing agents for the epoxy resin. The advantage of MHHPAhaving colorless appearance is liquid state at room temperature butthe epoxy resin containing MHHPA curing agent, will be high shrinkageand inner stress during the curing process. A complex MHHPA samplehaving the original good performance but low in shrinkage for epoxyresin was identified by GC MS and 13C NMR methods. （Fig.1）

Computer simulations on the gas-liquid phase diagram of Stockmayer fluids

Particle exchange molecular dynamics (PEMD) simulation technique is proposed to study the gas-liquid phase diagram of fluids. In the simulations, the fluid parti-cles can be transferred between the two coupled boxes, which possess constant total number of particles and volume. The particle transfer is controlled by the difference of chemical potential in the respective simulation box. After equilibrium the two boxes have the same pressure, temperature and chemical potential. The method is further used to study the gas-liquid phase diagram of Stockmayer fluid. Increasing the dipole strength will enhance the critical temperature. The predicted critical points are in agreement with those from Gibbs ensemble Monte Carlo simulations, while the small systematic difference is attributed to the system size effects and the thermostat methods.

Grafting copolymers with well-defined architectures have attracted much attention for their topology and unique *** study the relationship between the architecture and the liquid crystalline behaviors of grafting copolymers with rodlike polymer side chains,1 a series of novel grafting copolymers containing poly[2-（isobutyryloxy）ethyl methacrylate]（PBIEM） as main chains and mesogen-jacketed liquid crystalline poly{2,5-bis[（4-methoxyphenyl）oxycarbonyl]styrene}（PMPCS） as side chains（PBIEM-g-PMPCS） have been designed and successfully synthesized by two steps atom transfer radical polymerization（ATRP）.These polymers have relatively narrow molecular weight *** grafted PMPCS side chains are cleaved from the backbone by selective hydrolysis,and their polymerization degree are estimated by gel permeation chromatography equipped with a multiangle laser light scattering *** scanning calorimetry,one-and two-dimensional wide-angle X-ray diffraction,and polarized optical microscopy are used to investigate the phase structures and transitions of the PBIEM-g-PMPCS *** results show that both the molecular architecture and the molecular weight of PMPCS side chains affect the phase behavior of the grafting *** Mn,GPC ≤126000 g mol-1,only amorphous state can be observed;when Mn,GPC ≥ 196000 g mol-1（DP of side chains is 35）,the grafting copolymers exhibit obvious liquid crystalline *** means that the grafting copolymers require less monomer units per side-chain to stabilize the liquid crystalline phase compared to PMPCS linear homopolymers *** approach to the self-assembly behaviors and suprastructures of the grafting copolymers in bulk and solution is under way.

＜正＞In the last decade, hydroxyapatite/polylactide （HA/PLA） composite attracted much attention since such composites may have osteoconductivity due to the presence of HA. For this composite, the interfacial strength between HA fillers and PLA matrix is a critical factor to determine the mechanical properties of the composite. Several methods have been developed to improve adhesion between HA and PLA, such as utilization of surfactants. here, we report a novel approach, i.e., direct graft-polymerization of lactide on HA surfaces.

Active organic optical waveguide materials(OOWMs)incorporating room temperature phosphorescence(RTP)hold significant promise for diverse applications in photonic and optoelectronic *** this potential,realizing active RTP optical waveguides with large-sized ordered structures and minimal light loss remains a formidable *** address this issue,we present a groundbreaking thermoplastic active OOWM with low light loss,leveraging room temperature phosphorescent liquid crystalline polymer(LCP).This innovative material can be easily synthesized through the copolymerization of phosphorescent and liquid crystalline *** resulting RTP copolymer exhibits a nematic liquid crystal phase with a phosphorescence lifetime of approximately 0.15 ms and an afterglow duration of around 1 *** the excellent processability of LCP,we successfully produce meter-scale fibers via melt *** RTP LCP fibers,characterized by a high orientation of mesogens along the fiber axis,demonstrate superior light confinement and efficient light conduction compared to unoriented samples,resulting in a low optical loss coefficient of 0.13 dB/***,the thermal responsiveness of the RTP LCP optical waveguide enables its use as a photo *** pioneering work paves the way for the design of new OOWMs tailored for advanced photonics and optoelectronics devices.

＜正＞A series of rod-coil diblock polymers based on poly（ethylene oxide）（PEO） and optically active helical poly{（+）-2,5-bis[4’-（（S）-2-methylbutoxy）phenyl]styrene} （PMBPS）, PEO-b-PMBPS, were synthesized through atom-transfer radical polymerization （ATRP） using ω-methoxy-poly（ethylene glycol） 2-bromoisobutyrate （PEO-Br） as the initiator. The copolymers had relatively low polydispersities and well-defined structures and compositions. The PMBPS block assumed a stable helical conformation with an excess of screw sense.
