New-onset hyperglycemia immediately after liver transplantation:A national survey from China Liver Transplant Registry

Background: New-onset hyperglycemia(NOH) is a common phenomenon after liver transplantation(LT),but its impact on clinical outcomes has not yet been fully assessed. We aimed to evaluate the etiology and prognosis of NOH within 1 month after ***: The data of 3339 adult patients who underwent primary LT from donation after citizen death between January 2010 and June 2016 were extracted from China Liver Transplant Registry database and analyzed. NOH was defined as fasting blood glucose ≥7.0 mmol/L confirmed on at least two occasions within the first post-transplant month with or without hypoglycemic ***: Of 3339 liver recipients, 1416(42.4%) developed NOH. Recipients with NOH had higher incidence of post-transplant complications such as graft and kidney failure, infection, biliary stricture, cholangitis,and tumor recurrence in a glucose concentration-dependent manner as compared to non-NOH recipients(P he independent risk factors of NOH were donor warm ischemic time >10 min, cold ischemic time >10 h, anhepatic time >60 min, recipient model for end-stage liver disease score >30, moderate ascites and corticosteroid usage(P hemic injury may help maintain glucose homeostasis.

A defect recognition model for cross-section profile of hot-rolled strip based on deep learning

The cross-section profile is a key signal for evaluating hot-rolled strip quality,and ignoring its defects can easily lead to a final *** characteristics of complex curve,significant irregular fluctuation and imperfect sample data make it a challenge of recognizing cross-section defects,and current industrial judgment methods rely excessively on human decision making.A novel stacked denoising autoencoders(SDAE)model optimized with support vector machine(SVM)theory was proposed for the recognition of cross-section ***,interpolation filtering and principal component analysis were employed to linearly reduce the data dimensionality of the profile ***,the deep learning algorithm SDAE was used layer by layer for greedy unsupervised feature learning,and its final layer of back-propagation neural network was replaced by SVM for supervised learning of the final features,and the final model SDAE_SVM was obtained by further optimizing the entire network parameters via error ***,the curve mirroring and combination stitching methods were used as data augmentation for the training set,which dealt with the problem of sample imbalance in the original data set,and the accuracy of cross-section defect prediction was further *** approach was applied in a 1780-mm hot rolling line of a steel mill to achieve the automatic diagnosis and classification of defects in cross-section profile of hot-rolled strip,which helps to reduce flatness quality concerns in downstream processes.

Four-way radial waveguide power divider with high power-handling capacity

In this paper, a novel four-way radial waveguide power divider with low insertion loss and high power-handling capacity is proposed. This power divider consists of an input coaxial waveguide, a eentral probe, a radial waveguide, four equispaced identical coupling probes, four equispaced identical adjusting posts and four output coaxial waveguides. The novel coupling probes and the adjusting posts are used to realize favorable uniform power division. A power divider with the center frequency of 4.1 GHz is designed, fabricated and measured. Good agreement between simulation and experiment is noted. The measured 15 dB return-loss bandwidth of the power divider is about 600 MHz. The measured 0.5 dB insertion loss bandwidth is wider than 700 MHz. The differences and isolations between the output ports are also discussed. The power-handling capacity of the power divider is analyzed through simulation, and the result proves its usability in high power applications.

Association of p53 codon 72 polymorphism with liver metastases of colorectal cancers positive for p53 overexpression

Objective： To evaluate the association between p53 codon 72 polymorphism （R72P） and the risk ofcolorectal liver metastases. Methods： The p53 R72P genotype was identified by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism （PCR-RFLP） method in 78 consecutive colorectal cancer patients with liver metastases and 214 age- and sex-matched cases with nonmetastatic colorectal cancer. Results： The R allele of the p53 R72P polymorphism was more frequently found in metastatic cases than in nonmetastatic cases （P=0.075）. Carriers of the 72R allele had a 2.25-fold （95% CI （confidence interval）=1.05-4.83） increased risk of liver metastases. On the stratification analysis, 72R-carrying genotype conferred a 3.46-fold （95% CI=1.02-11.72） and a 1.05-fold （95% CI=0.36-3.08） increased risk of liver metastases for p53 overexpression-positive and negative colorectal cancers, respectively. Conclusion： These results demonstrate for the first time that the 72R allele of the p53 polymorphism has an increased risk for liver metastases in colorectal cancers positive for p53 overexpression.

Key Role of CD151-integrin Complex in Lung Cancer Metastasis and Mechanisms Involved

Tetraspanin CD151 was found to be upregulated in malignant cell types and has been identified as a tumor metastasis *** this study,we aimed to examine the role of the CD151-integrin complex in lung cancer metastasis and the underlying ***151 QRD194–196→AAA194–196 mutant was generated and used to transfect A549 human lung adenocarcinoma *** found that there was no significant difference in CD151 protein expression between CD151 and CD151-AAA mutant *** vitro,CD151-AAA mutant delivery abrogated the migration and invasion of A549 cells,which was promoted by CD151 gene ***,CD151-AAA delivery failed to activate FAK and p130Cas signaling *** blot and immunohistochemical staining showed strong CD151 expression in lung cancerous tissues but not in adjacent normal *** level of CD151 protein was observed in 20 of the patients and the positive rate of CD151 protein in specimens was 62.5%(20/32).In addition,CD151 was co-localized withα3 integrin at the cell-cell contact site in carcinoma *** results suggested that the disruption of the CD151-α3 integrin complex may impair the metastasis-promoting effects and signaling events induced by CD151 in lung *** findings identified a key role for CD151-α3 integrin complex as a promoter in the lung cancer.

Resonance analysis of a high-speed railway bridge using a stochastic finite element method

There is always some randomness in the material properties of a structure due to several circumstances and ignoring it increases the threat of inadequate structural safety reserves.A numerical approach is used in this study to consider the spatial variability of structural *** moments of the train and bridge responses were computed using the point estimation method(PEM),and the material characteristics of the bridge were set as random fields following Gaussian random distribution,which were discretized using Karhunen-Loève expansion(KLE).The following steps were carried out and the results are discussed ***,using the stochastic finite element method(SFEM),the mean value and standard deviation of dynamic responses of the train-bridge system(TBS)were *** effectiveness and accuracy of the computation were then confirmed by comparing the results to the Monte-Carlo simulation(MCS).Next,the influence of the train running speed,bridge vibration frequency,and span of the bridge on dynamic coefficient and dynamic response characteristics of resonance were discussed by using the ***,the lowest limit value of the vibration frequency of the simple supported bridges(SSB)with spans of 24 m,32 m,and 40 m are presented.

NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF SOUND RADIATION ON GEARBOX'S HOUSING

The fluid-structure coupling finite element model and the boundary element model of a complex gearbox＇s housing are built based on the theory of fluid-structure coupling finite element method and boundary element method. At the same time, the exciting forces of the housing are analyzed and applied to the finite element models. Firstly, vibration of the housing is calculated by the fluid-structure coupling finite element model; secondly, the calculated result is verified by the experiment; finally, sound radiation of the housing is calculated by the boundary element. According to the calculated results, the housing adds some ribs not only to increase the strength, but also to reduce the sound radiation of the housing. At last, the sound radiation of the modified housing is calculated, which shows that the sound radiation of the modified housing with ribs is lower.

Rapid synthesis of CoSb_3 by MA-SPS and its thermoelectric properties

Bulk CoSb3 with single phase was synthesized by mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering （MA-SPS）. The thermoelectric properties of bulk CoSb3 prepared by different technologies were investigated. All samples have the character of typical semiconductor electricity and their thermoelectric figures of merit （ZT） get the maximum values at 400℃. The highest ZT value is 0.0571, belonging to the sample sintered at 600℃ among all samples at all temperatures.

Measurement of Random Surface Parameters of Weak Scatterers using the Speckle Contrast Method

Theoretical analysis shows that the deviation roughness w and the lateral correlation length ζ of a weak scattering object determine the different properties of the contrast of the speckles in the image plane of a 4f system. Experimentally, we have measured the data of the speckle contrast versus the radius R of the variable filtering aperture. By fitting the theoretical results to these data, we extract the parameters w and ζ of the random surfaces with Gaussian correlation. This method can determine the two parameters simultaneously and independently, and pre-calibrations are not needed

Analysis of transcriptome sequencing of sciatic nerves in Sprague-Dawley rats of different ages

An aging-induced decrease in Schwann cell viability can affect regeneration following peripheral nerve injury in mammals. It is therefore necessary to investigate possible age-related changes in gene expression that may affect the biological function of peripheral nerves. Ten 1-week-old and ten 12-month-old healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into young（1 week old） and adult（12 months old） groups according to their ages. mRNA expression in the sciatic nerve was compared between young and adult rats using next-generation sequencing（NGS） and bioinformatics（n = 4/group）. The 18 groups of differentially expressed mRNA（DEmRNAs） were also tested by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction（n = 6/group）. Results revealed that（1） compared with young rats, adult rats had 3608 groups of DEmRNAs. Of these, 2684 were groups of upregulated genes, and 924 were groups of downregulated genes. Their functions mainly involved cell viability, proliferation, differentiation, regeneration, and myelination.（2） The gene with the most obvious increase of all DEmRNAs in adult rats was Thrsp（log2 FC = 9.01, P 〈 0.05）, and the gene with the most obvious reduction was Col2 a1（log2 FC = -8.89, P 〈 0.05）.（3） Gene Ontology analysis showed that DEmRNAs were mainly concentrated in oligosaccharide binding, nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain containing one signaling pathway, and peptide-transporting ATPase activity.（4） Analysis using the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes showed that, with increased age, DEmRNAs were mainly enriched in steroid biosynthesis, Staphylococcus aureus infection, and graft-versus-host disease.（5） Spearman＇s correlation coefficient method for evaluating NGS accuracy showed that the NGS results and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction results were positively correlated（rs = 0.74, P 〈 0.05）.
