Phase change materials(PCMs)offer a promising solution to address the challenges posed by intermittency and fluctuations in solar thermal ***,for organic solid-liquid PCMs,issues such as leakage,low thermal conductivity,lack of efficient solar-thermal media,and flamma-bility have constrained their broad ***,we present an innova-tive class of versatile composite phase change materials(CPCMs)developed through a facile and environmentally friendly synthesis approach,leveraging the inherent anisotropy and unidirectional porosity of wood aerogel(nanowood)to support polyethylene glycol(PEG).The wood modification process involves the incorporation of phytic acid(PA)and MXene hybrid structure through an evaporation-induced assembly method,which could impart non-leaking PEG filling while concurrently facilitating thermal conduction,light absorption,and ***,the as-prepared wood-based CPCMs showcase enhanced thermal conductivity(0.82 W m^(-1)K^(-1),about 4.6 times than PEG)as well as high latent heat of 135.5 kJ kg^(-1)(91.5%encapsula-tion)with thermal durability and stability throughout at least 200 heating and cooling cycles,featuring dramatic solar-thermal conversion efficiency up to 98.58%.In addition,with the synergistic effect of phytic acid and MXene,the flame-retardant performance of the CPCMs has been significantly enhanced,showing a self-extinguishing ***,the excellent electromagnetic shielding of 44.45 dB was endowed to the CPCMs,relieving contemporary health hazards associated with electromagnetic ***,we capitalize on the exquisite wood cell structure with unidirectional transport inherent in the development of multifunctional CPCMs,showcasing the operational principle through a proof-of-concept prototype system.

Background This study was to investigate the safety of two types of commercially available lumbar artificial discs （CHARITE and PRODISC-L） during a magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） procedure in a 1.5-Tesla MR system, and to evaluate the size of metal artifacts on the MR image for different sequences. Methods A 1.5-Tesla clinical MR imaging system was used. The degree of deflection of the endplates of two artificial discs was evaluated by an angle-measurement instrument at the portals of the MRI scanner. The heating effect of the radio frequency （RF） magnetic field was evaluated by using ＂worst-case＂ imaging sequences on a human cadaver implanted with an artificial lumbar disc at the L5/S1 intervertebral disc location. The temperatures of the tissue adjacent to the implant, and of the L4/L5 intervertebral disc （used as a control） were measured, respectively, using a digital probe thermometer before and after the MRI scan sequence. A rectangular water phantom was designed to evaluate the metal artifacts of these two artificial discs under different MR imaging sequences. Results The maximal deflection angle of the endplate of the implants under a static MR field was 7.5 and 6.0 degrees, for the CHARITE and PRODISC-L, respectively. The difference between temperature rise of tissue adjacent to the two types of artificial discs and the temperature rise of the L4/L5 control location was 0.4 and 0.6℃, respectively. The size of metal artifacts on images of TSE （T1/T2 -weighted）, STIR and Turbo Dark Fluid sequences were relatively less than those of TSE fat saturation, Flash and SE （Tl-weighted） sequences. Conclusions The CHARITE and the PRODISC-L artificial disc do not present an additional hazard or risk to a patient undergoing an MRI procedure using a scanner operating with a static magnetic field of 1.5T or lower. Propylene carbonate(PC)-based electrolytes have exhibited significant advantages in boosting the low-temperature discharging of graphite-based Li-ion ***,it is still unclear whether they can improve the charging property and suppress lithium *** this topic is challenging due to the problem of electrochemical *** overcome this issue,we introduced graphite with phase *** results show that the pouch-type full batteries using PC-based electrolyte exhibit steady performance over 500 cycles and can be reversibly charged over 30 times at-20℃ with an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.95%,while the corresponding value for the conventional ethylene carbonate(EC)-based electrolyte sample is only 31.20%.This indicates that the use of PC-based electrolyte significantly suppresses lithium plating during low-temperature *** further demonstrate that the improved performance is mainly attributed to the unique solvation structure,where PF-6more anions participate in solvation,leading to the formation of a stable F-rich solid state electrolyte interface on the graphite surface and a lower reduction tendency of Li+*** work inspires new ideas for the design of PC-based electrolytes for low-temperature charging and fast-charging batteries.

Primitive neuroectodermal tumors （PNETs）, derived from the primitive neural crest, are highly malignant and mainly exist in the central nervous system （CNS）, chest wall, lower extremities, trunk, kidney, and orbit but rarely in the spine. Though multidisciplinary treatments have been well established as the standard therapy for intracranial PNETs, little is known about the optimal treatment strategy and therapeutic results for intraspinal PNETs. The following report illustrates the operative and non-operative management of an extradural PNET at the level of L5 in a young girl.

Natural gas hydrate(NGH)has been widely considered as an alternative to conventional oil and gas resources in the future energy resource supply since Trofimuk’s first resource assessment in *** least 29 global estimates have been published from various studies so far,among which 24 estimates are greater than the total conventional gas *** drawn in chronological order,the 29 historical resource estimates show a clear downward trend,reflecting the changes in our perception with respect to its resource potential with increasing our knowledge on the NGH with time.A time series of the 29 estimates was used to establish a statistical model for predict the future *** model produces an expected resource value of 41.46×1012 m3 at the year of *** statistical trend projected future gas hydrate resource is only about 10%of total natural gas resource in conventional reservoir,consistent with estimates of global technically recoverable resources(TRR)in gas hydrate from Monte Carlo technique based on volumetric and material balance *** the technical challenges and high cost in commercial production and the lack of competitive advantages compared with rapid growing unconventional and renewable resources,only those on the very top of the gas hydrate resource pyramid will be added to future energy *** is unlikely that the NGH will be the major energy source in the future.

The difference in microstructure leads to the diversity of shale mechanical properties and bedding fractures distribution *** this paper,the microstructure and mechanical properties of Longmaxi marine shale and Qingshankou continental shale were studied by X-ray diffractometer(XRD),field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM)with mineral analysis system,and ***,the typical bedding layers area was properly stratified using Focused Ion Beam(FIB),and the effects of microstructure and mechanical properties on the distribution patterns of bedding fractures were *** results show that the Longmaxi marine shale sample contains more clay mineral grains,while the Qingshankou continental shale sample contains more hard brittle mineral grains such as *** Longmaxi marine shale sample,hard brittle minerals with grain sizes larger than 20μm is18.24%and those with grain sizes smaller than 20μm is 16.22%.For Qingshankou continental shale sample,hard brittle minerals with grain sizes larger than 20μm is 40.7%and those with grain sizes smaller than 20μm is 11.82%.In comparison to the Qingshankou continental shale sample,the Longmaxi marine shale sample has a lower modulus,hardness,and *** shales are formed by alternating coarse-grained and fine-grained layers during *** average single-layer thickness of Longmaxi marine shale sample is greater than Qingshankou continental shale *** two types of shale have similar bedding fractures distribution patterns and fractures tend to occur in the transition zone from coarse-grained to fine-grained *** orientation of the fracture is usually parallel to the bedding plane and detour occurs in the presence of hard brittle *** fracture distribution density of the Longmaxi marine shale sample is lower than that of the Qingshankou continental shale sample due to the strong heterogeneity of the Qingshankou continental *** current resea

There have been at least 29 groups of estimates on the global natural gas hydrate(NGH)resource since1973,varying greatly with up to 10,000 times and showing a decreasing trend with *** the South China Sea(SCS),35 groups of estimations were conducted on NGH resource potential since 2000,while these estimates kept almost the same with time,varying between 60 and 90 billion tons of oil equivalent(toe).What are the key factors controlling the variation trend?What are the implications of these variations for the NGH development in the world and the SCS?By analyzing the investigation characteristics of NGH resources in the world,this study divided the evaluation process into six stages and confirmed four essential factors for controlling the variations of *** indicated that the reduction trend reflects an improved understanding of the NGH formation mechanism and advancement in the resource evaluation methods,and promoted more objective evaluation ***,the analysis process and improved evaluation method was applied to evaluate the NGH resources in the SCS,showing the similar decreasing trend of NGH resources with *** utilizing the decreasing trend model,the predicted recoverable resources in the world and the SCS are(205-500)×10^(12)m^(3)and(0.8-6.5)×10^(12)m^(3),respectively,accounting for 20%of the total conventional oil and gas *** NGH resource in the SCS is only about 4%-6%of the previous estimates of 60-90 billion *** extracted completely,it only can support the sustainable development of China for 7 years at the current annual consumption level of oil and *** cannot be the main energy resource in future due to its low resource potential and lack of advantages in recovery.

We investigate the non-Gaussian feature of radiation in a circuit quantum electrodynamics(QED)system where two qubits are strongly coupled to a single-mode *** the regime of ultrastrong coupling(USC),the rotating-wave approximation is not valid,and the Rabi Hamiltonian contains counter-rotating wave terms,leading to level crossing and avoided crossings in the energy *** further analyze the intensity-amplitude correlation of the output field in these two novel *** the USC regime,the creation and annihilation operators in the correlation function are replaced,allowing for the identification of non-Gaussian features in the output *** findings reveal that despite the absence of squeezing effects in the output light,significant non-Gaussian characteristics are ***,we demonstrate that as the driving or coupling strength increases,the non-Gaussian features of the output field become more *** suggests that USC systems hold broad potential applications in the realms of nonlinear optics and the generation of non-Gaussian states.

A total of 45 alkylbenzenes were detected and identified in crude oils with different depositional environments and thermal maturities from the Tarim Basin,Beibuwan Basin,and Songliao Basin using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC×GCTOFMS).By analyzing the distribution characteristics of C0-C5alkylbenzenes,it is found that the content of some alkylbenzenes varies greatly in crude *** on the distribution characteristics of 1,2,4,5-tetramethylbenzene(Te MB)and 1,2,3,4-Te MB,the ratio of 1,2,4,5-Te MB to 1,2,3,4-Te MB is proposed to indicate the organic matter origin and depositional environment of ancient *** samples originated mainly from lower hydrobiont,algae,bacteria and source rocks deposited under reducing/anoxic conditions have low 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB values(less than 0.6),while oil samples originated mainly from terrestrial higher plants and source rocks deposited under oxic/sub-oxic conditions have higher 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB values(greater than 1.0).The significant difference of 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB values is controlled by 1,2,4,5-Te MB content.1,2,4,5-Te MB content in oils derived from source rocks deposited in oxidized sedimentary environment(greater than 1.0 mg/g whole oil)is higher than that in oils from source rocks deposited in reduced sedimentary environment(less than 1.0 mg/g whole oil).1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB ratio might not or slightly be affected by evaporative fractionation,biodegradation and thermal maturity.1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB ratio and 1,2,4,5-Te MB content can be used as supplementary parameter for the identification of sedimentary environment and organic matter *** should be noted that compared to the identification of organic matter sources,the 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB parameter is more effective in identifying sedimentary environments.
