Prognostic significance of cytokine receptor-like factor 2 alterations in acute lymphoblastic leukemia:a meta-analysis

Background:Cytokine receptor-like factor 2(CRLF2)has been shown to play a role in the pathogenesis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL).Studies have examined the relationship between CRLF2 alterations such as over-expression or deregulation and clinical outcome in childhood ALL,but the results are *** metaanalysis aimed to explore the association between CRLF2 alterations and survival of pediatric patients with ***:Electronic databases updated to March 2014 were searched for relevant studies.A meta-analysis was made of twelve studies including 5945 patients to evaluate the prognostic significance of CRLF2 alterations on survival in childhood *** ratios(HRs)with 95%confidence intervals(CIs)were pooled across the studies using a fixed-effects ***:CRLF2 over-expression in childhood ALL was associated with poor prognosis in terms of relapse-free survival(RFS;HR=1.70,95%CI=1.28-2.24,P=0.000),event-free survival(EFS;HR=1.78,95%CI=1.05-3.01,R=0.032),and overall survival(OS;HR=2.28,95%CI=1.42-3.65,R=0.001).The combined data also suggested that CRLF2 deregulation in childhood ALL was correlated with poor EFS(HR=1.95,95%CI=1.46-2.61,R=0.000),RFS(HR=2.20,95%CI=1.53-3.18,P=0.000),and OS(HR=1.89,95%CI=1.24-2.87,P=0.003).Subgroup analysis on multivariate HRs showed that CRLF2 deregulation independently predicted a poor prognosis for childhood ***:The present meta-analysis reveals that both CRLF2 over-expression and deregulation are associated with poor prognosis in pediatric patients with ALL.

It is extremely dangerous to treat the posterior third of the superior sagittal sinus (PTSSS) surgically, since it is usually not completely ligated. In this report, the authors described the case of a 27-year-old man with a ruptured and defective PTSSS caused by an open depressed skull fracture, which was treated by ligation of the PTSSS and the patient achieved a positive recovery. The patient's occiput was hit by a height-limiting rod and was in a mild coma. A CT scan showed an open depressed skull fracture overlying the PTSSS and a diffuse brain swelling. he underwent emergency surgery. When the skull fragments were removed, a 4 cm segment of the superior sagittal sinus (SSS) and the adjacent dura mater were removed together with bone fragments. Haemorrhage occurred and blood pressure dropped. We completed the operation by ligating the severed ends of the fractured sagittal sinus. One month after the operation, apart from visual field defects, he recovered well. In our opinion, in primary hospitals, when patients with severely injured PTSSS cannot sustain a long-time and complicated operation, e.g., the bypass using venous graft, and face life-threatening conditions, ligation of the PTSSS is another option, which may unexpectedly achieve good results.

Purpose:To explore the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic external carotid branch ***:Eleven cases of traumatic external carotid artery branch pseudoaneurysms were admitted in our *** subtraction angiography was performed in all *** revealed that the pseudoaneurysms originated from the internal maxillary artery in 5 cases,superficial temporal artery in 5 cases and occipital artery in 1 *** cases of internal maxillary artery pseudoaneurysms and 2 cases of superficial temporal artery pseudoaneurysms were treated by embolization;the other 3 cases were surgically ***:Complete cessation of nasal bleeding was achieved in all the 5 pseudoaneurysms of internal maxillary artery after the endovascular *** bleeding stopped and scalp defect healed up in 2 patients with superficial temporal artery pseudoaneurysms treated by interventional *** patients were followed up for 0.5-2.0 years without recurrence of nosebleed and scalp ***:For patients with repeated severe epistaxis after craniocerebral injury,digital subtraction angiography should be performed as soon as possible to confirm traumatic *** therapy is an effective method for traumatic internal maxillary artery *** patients with scalp injuries and pulsatile lumps,further examinations including digital subtraction angiography should be performed to confirm the *** treatment or endovascular therapy for scalp traumatic pseudoaneurysm is effective.

Nitrate(NO3-)is a widespread pollutant in high-salt wastewater and causes serious harm to human *** electrochemical removal of nitrate has been demonstrated to be a promising treatment method,the development of low-cost electro-catalysts is still *** this work,a phosphate modified iron(P-Fe)cathode was prepared for electrochemical removal of nitrate in high-salt *** phosphate modification greatly improved the activity of iron,and the removal rate of nitrate on P-Fe was three times higher than that on Fe *** experiments and density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrated that the modification of phosphoric acid improved the stability and the activity of the zero-valent iron electrode effectively for *** nitrate was firstly electrochemically reduced to ammonium,and then reacted with the anodic generated hypochlorite to *** this study,a strategy was developed to improve the activity and stability of metal electrode for NO_(3)^(-)removal,which opened up a new field for the efficient reduction of NO3-removal by metal electrode materials.

The monogamy of entanglement stands as an indispensable feature within multipartite quantum systems. We study monogamy relations with respect to any partitions for the generalized W-class（GW） states based on the unified-（q, s） entanglement（UE）. We provide the monogamy relation based on the squared UE for a reduced density matrix of a qudit GW state, as well as tighter monogamy relations based on the αth（α ≥ 2） power of UE. Furthermore, for an n-qudit system ABC1...Cn-2, a generalized monogamy relation and an upper bound satisfied by the βth（0 ≤ β ≤ 1） power of the UE for the GW states under the partition AB and C1...Cn-2are established. In particular, two partition-dependent residual entanglements for the GW states are analyzed in detail.

The magnetization process and corresponding magnetization curve are usually used to analyze the coercivity mechanism of NdFe-B based sintered ***,different demagnetization histories will seriously influence the magnetization curve,leading to an inaccurate understanding and analysis of magnetization *** this work,we investigated the magnetization behavior of multi-main phase(MMP)magnets with thermal demagnetized and alternating current demagnetized *** curves of initial magnetization process and demagnetization process of thermal demagnetized magnets reflect the movement of domain walls inside the grains and the magnetization interaction between the grains,*** is noted that the former process cannot represent the magnetization reversal of the entire magnet,which is not appropriate to analyze coercivity mechanism *** the recoil curves of both two processes of AC demagnetized magnets can illustrate the magnetization reversal of the entire grains and the interaction between ***-optical Kerr microscope shows that the grains of thermal demagnetized magnets are in multi-domain states,and the grains of AC demagnetized magnets are almost in singledomain *** walls of thermal demagnetized magnets move easily within the grains,which is more conducive to magnetization saturation in industrial *** addition,the minorloops of thermal demagnetized magnets can independently represent the transition of grains from multi-domain to single-domain and the demagnetization of single-domain grains,which is equivalent to characterizing the internal interactions by recoil *** investigation of magnetization characteristics of MMP sintered magnets starting from different demagnetized states is helpful to further understand the internal interaction and magnetic hardening mechanism.

Research on the properties of neutron stars with dark energy is a particularly interesting yet unresolved problem in *** analyze the influence of dark energy on the equation of state,the maximum mass,the surface gravitational redshift and the Keplerian frequency for the traditional neutron star and the hyperon star matter within the relativistic mean field theory,using the GM1 and TM1 parameter sets by considering the two flavor symmetries of SU(6)and SU(3)combined with the observations of PSR J1614-2230,PSR J0348+0432,PSR J0030+0451,RX J0720.4-3125,and 1E *** is found that the existence of dark energy leads to the softened equations of the state of the traditional neutron star and the hyperon *** radius of a fixed-mass traditional neutron star(or hyperon star)with dark energy becomes smaller,which leads to increased *** existence of dark energy can also enhance the surface gravitational redshift and the Keplerian frequency of traditional neutron stars and hyperon *** growth of the Keplerian frequency may cause the spin rate to speed up,which may provide a possible way to understand and explain the pulsar glitch ***,we infer that the mass and the surface gravitational redshift of PSR J1748-2446ad without dark energy for the GM1(TM1)parameter set are 1.141 M_(☉)(1.309 M_(☉))and 0.095(0.105),*** corresponding values for the GM1(TM1)parameter set are 0.901 M_(☉)(1.072M_(☉))and 0.079(0.091)if PSR J1748-2446ad contains dark energy withα=*** J1748-2446ad may be a low-mass pulsar with a lower surface gravitational redshift under our selected models.

Environmental inequality is a prevalent issue in developing countries undergoing urban *** expansion induces the formation and evolution of environmental inequality by creating environmental and structural conditions that lead to the spatial relocation of environmental hazards and the socio-spatial segregation of different groups in developing *** study investigated the spatial patterns and temporal trends of environmental inequality under urban expansion in Guangzhou,a megacity in *** considered how environmental disparities and socio-demographic attributes interact in terms of industrial pollution exposure using additive semiparametric quantile regression,combined with spatial visualisation,on the basis of the economic and population census data from 1990 to *** study revealed that urban expansion sparked the spatial displacement of environmental risks and the social-spatial differentiation,exposing the peripheral regions and disadvantaged groups to higher environmental risks.A reciprocal transformation occurred between central and peripheral regions,as well as a process of redistributing environmental risks across social *** the context of urban expansion in developing countries,the causes of environmental inequality shifted from individual socio-economic differences to structural factors,such as industrial layout and social division of labour in cities,leading to the spatial displacement and concealment of environmental *** study provides insights and guidance for policymakers to address the issue of environmental inequality in the context of urban expansion.
