The battery technology progress has been a contradictory process in which performance improvement and hidden risks *** the battery is still a“black box”,thus requiring a deep understanding of its internal *** battery should“sense its internal physical/chemical conditions”,which puts strict requirements on embedded sensing *** paper summarizes the application of advanced optical fiber sensors in lithium-ion batteries and energy storage technologies that may be mass deployed,focuses on the insights of advanced optical fiber sensors into the processes of one-dimensional nano-micro-level battery material structural phase transition,electrolyte degradation,electrode-electrolyte interface dynamics to three-dimensional macro-safety *** paper contributes to understanding how to use optical fiber sensors to achieve“real”and“embedded”*** the inherent advantages of the advanced optical fiber sensor,it helps clarify the battery internal state and reaction mechanism,aiding in the establishment of more detailed *** advancements can promote the development of smart batteries,with significant importance lying in essentially promoting the improvement of system ***,with the help of smart batteries in the future,the importance of consistency can be weakened or even *** application of advanced optical fiber sensors helps comprehensively improve the battery quality,reliability,and life.

Benefiting from the development of Federated Learning(FL)and distributed communication systems,large-scale intelligent applications become *** devices not only provide adequate training data,but also cause privacy leakage and energy *** to optimize the energy consumption in distributed communication systems,while ensuring the privacy of users and model accuracy,has become an urgent *** this paper,we define the FL as a 3-layer architecture including users,agents and *** order to find a balance among model training accuracy,privacy-preserving effect,and energy consumption,we design the training process of FL as game *** use an extensive game tree to analyze the key elements that influence the players’decisions in the single game,and then find the incentive mechanism that meet the social norms through the repeated *** experimental results show that the Nash equilibrium we obtained satisfies the laws of reality,and the proposed incentive mechanism can also promote users to submit high-quality data in *** the multiple rounds of play,the incentive mechanism can help all players find the optimal strategies for energy,privacy,and accuracy of FL in distributed communication systems.

Impact Force Localization and Reconstruction via ADMM-based Sparse Regularization Method

In practice,simultaneous impact localization and time history reconstruction can hardly be achieved,due to the illposed and under-determined problems induced by the constrained and harsh measuring *** l_(1) regularization can be used to obtain sparse solutions,it tends to underestimate solution amplitudes as a biased *** address this issue,a novel impact force identification method with l_(p) regularization is proposed in this paper,using the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM).By decomposing the complex primal problem into sub-problems solvable in parallel via proximal operators,ADMM can address the challenge *** mitigate the sensitivity to regularization parameters,an adaptive regularization parameter is derived based on the K-sparsity ***,an ADMM-based sparse regularization method is developed,which is capable of handling l_(p) regularization with arbitrary p values using adaptively-updated *** effectiveness and performance of the proposed method are validated on an aircraft skin-like composite ***,an investigation into the optimal p value for achieving high-accuracy solutions via l_(p) regularization is *** turns out that l_(0.6)regularization consistently yields sparser and more accurate solutions for impact force identification compared to the classic l_(1) regularization *** impact force identification method proposed in this paper can simultaneously reconstruct impact time history with high accuracy and accurately localize the impact using an under-determined sensor configuration.

Ionization Engineering of Hydrogels Enables Highly Efficient Salt‑Impeded Solar Evaporation and Night‑Time Electricity Harvesting

Interfacial solar evaporation holds immense potential for brine desalination with low carbon footprints and high energy ***,as a tunable material platform from the molecular level to the macroscopic scale,have been considered the most promising candidate for solar ***,the simultaneous achievement of high evaporation efficiency and satisfactory tolerance to salt ions in brine remains a challenging scientific bottleneck,restricting the widespread ***,we report ionization engineering,which endows polymer chains of hydrogels with electronegativity for impeding salt ions and activating water molecules,fundamentally overcoming the hydrogel salt-impeded challenge and dramatically expediting water evaporating in *** sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate-modified carbon black is chosen as the solar *** hydrogel reaches a ground-breaking evaporation rate of 2.9 kg m−2 h−1 in 20 wt%brine with 95.6%efficiency under one sun irradiation,surpassing most of the reported *** notably,such a hydrogel-based evaporator enables extracting clean water from oversaturated salt solutions and maintains durability under different high-strength deformation or a 15-day continuous ***,on the basis of the cation selectivity induced by the electronegativity,we first propose an all-day system that evaporates during the day and generates salinity-gradient electricity using waste-evaporated brine at night,anticipating pioneer a new opportunity for all-day resource-generating systems in fields of freshwater and electricity.

The suppression of polarization cross talk in lead zirconate titanate phase modulators as a key error source has been challenging for open-loop fiber optic gyroscopes(FOGs).We developed a polarization-diversity optical frequency domain reflectometry(OFDR)to measure the distributed modulation polarization error in the *** error contributes 8×10^(−6) rad to FOG’s bias *** a UV-fabricated in-fiberλ/4 wave plate and polarization-mode converter with fiber taper technology,the modulation error has been suppressed by 15 dB in assembled *** approach reduced error with temperature from 25°/h to 0.7°/h,meeting the requirements of control-level gyroscopes with bias errors less than 1°/h.

Global dynamics of a tumor-immune model with an immune checkpoint inhibitor

In this paper,a mathematical ordinary differential tumor-immune model is proposed based on an immune checkpoint inhibitor,which is an innovative method for tumor *** important factors in tumor-immune response are the programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)and its ligand *** model consists of three populations:tumor cells,activated T cells and *** analyzing the dynamics of the model,it is found that there is always a unique tumor-free equilibrium and at most two tumor interior *** nonexistence of nontrivial positive periodic orbits is established by using the new Dulac function,and then a global dynamics of the model is *** conclusions of our analysis show that increasing the possibility of T cells killing tumor cells(p),early detection of tumor cells,or the use of PD-1 inhibitors to activate T cells are effective in eliminating tumor cells.

The depth of light penetration and tumor hypoxia restrict the efficacy of photodynamic therapy(PDT)in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),while the overproduction of lactate(LA)facilitates the development,aggressiveness,and therapy resistance of *** address these issues,a self-acting PDT nanosystem(HL@hMnO_(2)-LO_(x)@HA)is fabricated by loading 2-(1-hexyloxyethyl)-2-devinyl pyropheophorbide-alpha(HPPH),luminol,and LA oxidase(LO_(x))in a hyaluronic acid(HA)-coated hollow manganese dioxide(hMnO_(2))***_(x) catalyzes the oxidation of LA into pyruvate and hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)),thus depleting the overproduced intratumoral *** the acidic tumor microenvironment,H_(2)O_(2) reacts with luminol and hMnO_(2) to yield blue luminescence as well as O_(2) and Mn^(2+),***^(2+)could further enhance this *** is then excited by the chemiluminescence through chemiluminescence resonance energy transfer for self-illuminated *** generated O_(2) alleviates the hypoxia state of the TNBC tumor to produce sufficient 1O_(2) for self-oxygenation *** Mn^(2+)performs T1 magnetic resonance imaging to trace the self-acting PDT *** work provides a biocompatible strategy to conquer the limits of light penetration and tumor hypoxia on PDT against TNBC as well as LA overproduction.

This comprehensive review provides a deep exploration of the unique roles of single atom catalysts(SACs)in photocatalytic hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))*** offer multiple benefits over traditional catalysts such as improved efficiency,selectivity,and flexibility due to their distinct electronic structure and unique *** review discusses the critical elements in the design of SACs,including the choice of metal atom,host material,and coordination environment,and how these elements impact the catalytic *** role of single atoms in photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production is also analysed,focusing on enhancing light absorption and charge generation,improving the migration and separation of charge carriers,and lowering the energy barrier of adsorption and activation of *** these advantages,several challenges,including H_(2)O_(2)decomposition,stability of SACs,unclear mechanism,and low selectivity,need to be *** towards the future,the review suggests promising research directions such as direct utilization of H_(2)O_(2),high-throughput synthesis and screening,the creation of dual active sites,and employing density functional theory for investigating the mechanisms of SACs in H_(2)O_(2)*** review provides valuable insights into the potential of single atom catalysts for advancing the field of photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production.

Utilization of hydralazine as a reactive matrix for enhanced detection and on-MALDI-target derivatization of saccharides

Saccharides are a sort of ubiquitous and vital molecules within the whole ***,the application of saccharides analysis with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry(MALDI-MS)is restricted by their low ionization efficiency and the instability of the sialic acid *** strategy based on nonreductive amination provides a good solution,however,this is often time consuming and may result in sample loss due to removal of excessive derivatization ***,hydralazine(HZN)was utilized as a reactive matrix for labeling reducing saccharides directly on MALDI target which eliminated tedious sample preparation and avoided sample *** optimization,effective and reproducible on-MALDI-target derivatization of neutral and acidic saccharides was achieved in both positive and negative *** with 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid(DHB)and 9-aminoacridine(9-AA),HZN improved the detection sensitivity of reducing saccharides and provided more abundant fragment ions in MS/MS ***,26 kinds of neutral glycans and 5 kinds of sialic glycans were identified from ovalbumin(OVA)and bovine fetuin,*** with the statistical models,this strategy could be used to distinguish and predict samples of 6 brands of beer,and discriminate 2 kinds of beer fermentation *** addition,HZN was applied for quantitative analysis of glucose in urine samples,and the obtained urine glucose concentrations of diabetic patients were consistent with the clinical test results,showing the potential of qualitative and quantitative analysis of reducing saccharides in complex samples.

Metallic zinc is an excellent anode material for Zn-ion batteries,but the growth of Zn dendrite severely hinders its practical ***,an efficient and economical cationic additive,poly dimethyl diallyl ammonium(PDDA) was reported,used in aqueous Zn-ion batteries electrolyte for stabilizing Zn *** growth of zinc dendrites can be significantly restrained by benefiting from the pronounced electrostatic shielding effect from PDDA on the Zn metal ***,the PDDA is preferentially absorbed on Zn(002) plane,thus preventing unwanted side reactions on Zn *** to the introduction of a certain amount of PDDA additive into the common ZnSO_(4)-based electrolyte,the cycle life of assembled Zn‖Zn cells(1 mA·cm^(-2) and 1 mAh·cm^(-2)) is prolonged to more than 1100 *** response to the perforation issue of Zn electrodes caused by PDDA additives,the problem can be solved by combining foamy copper with zinc *** real application,Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitors and MnO_(2)‖Zn cells were assembled,which exhibited excellent cycling stability with PDDA *** work provides a new solution and perspective to cope with the dendrite growth problem of Zn anode.
