Gravitational wave footprints from Higgs-portal scalegenesis with multiple dark chiral scalars

We discuss the gravitational wave(GW)spectra predicted from the electroweak scalegenesis of the Higgs portal type with a large number of dark chiral flavors,which many flavor QCD would underlie and give the dynamical explanation of the negative Higgs portal coupling required to trigger the electroweak symmetry *** employ the linear-sigma model as the low-energy description of dark many flavor QCD and show that the model undergoes ultra-supercooling due to the produced strong first-order thermal phase transition along the(approximately realized)flat direction based on the Gildener-Weinberg *** through evaluation of the bubble nucleation/percolation,we address the reheating and relaxation processes,which are generically non-thermal and *** the reheating epoch in terms of the e-folding number,we propose proper formulae for the redshift effects on the GW frequencies and signal *** then turns out that the ultra-supercooling predicted from the Higgs-portal scalegenesis generically yields none of GW signals with the frequencies as low as nano Hz,unless the released latent heat is transported into another sector other than reheating the ***,models of this class prefer to give the higher frequency signals and still keeps the future prospected detection sensitivity,like at LISA,BBO,and DECIGO,*** also find that with large flavors in the dark sector,the GW signals are made further smaller and the peak frequencies *** phenomenological consequences related to the multiple chiral scalars include the prediction of dark pions with the mass much less than TeV scale,which is also briefly addressed.

Spatiotemporal variation and freeze-thaw asymmetry of Arctic sea ice in multiple dimensions during 1979 to 2020

Arctic sea ice is broadly regarded as an indicator and amplifier of global climate *** rapid changes in Arctic sea ice have been widely ***,the spatiotemporal changes in the horizontal and vertical dimensions of Arctic sea ice and its asymmetry during the melt and freeze seasons are rarely quantified simultaneously based on multiple sources of the same long time *** this study,the spatiotemporal variation and freeze-thaw asymmetry of Arctic sea ice were investigated from both the horizontal and vertical dimensions during 1979–2020 based on remote sensing and assimilation *** results indicated that Arctic sea ice was declining at a remarkably high rate of–5.4×10^(4) km^(2)/a in sea ice area(SIA)and–2.2 cm/a in sea ice thickness(SIT)during 1979 to 2020,and the reduction of SIA and SIT was the largest in summer and the smallest in ***,compared with other sub-regions,SIA showed a sharper declining trend in the Barents Sea,Kara Sea,and East Siberian Sea,while SIT presented a larger downward trend in the northern Canadian Archipelago,northern Greenland,and the East Siberian *** to the seasonal trend of sea ice on sub-region scale,the reduction rate of SIA exhibited an apparent spatial heterogeneity among seasons,especially in summer and winter,i.e.,the sub-regions linked to the open ocean exhibited a higher decline rate in winter;however,the other sub-regions blocked by the coastlines presented a greater decline rate in *** SIT,the sub-regions such as the Beaufort Sea,East Siberian Sea,Chukchi Sea,Central Arctic,and Canadian Archipelago always showed a higher downward rate in all ***,a striking freeze-thaw asymmetry of Arctic sea ice was also *** sea ice changes in different dimensions,sea ice over most regions in the Arctic showed an early retreat and rapid advance in the horizontal dimension but late melting and gradual freezing in the vertical *** amount of sea ice me

Nanozyme is a new promising approach to cancer therapy for its ability to induce ferroptosis by activating H_(2)O_(2)via a traditional radical pathway and enhance cancer ***,short half-life period of hydroxyl radical(·OH)results in unsatisfied ***,we synthesized a single-atom iron nanozyme(Fe-SAzyme),which can activate H_(2)O_(2)via a non-radical pathway to generate Fe-based reactive oxygen species(ROS)(O=FeO_(3)=O)for promoting the ferroptosis of pancreatic cancer *** Fe-SAzyme could be specifically phagocytosed by pancreatic cancer cells,increasing ROS levels and inhibiting glutathione(GSH)synthesis,which activates *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)showed decreased T2 signal after intravenous injection of RGD@Fe-AC(AC=activated carbon).Moreover,RGD@Fe-AC promoted dendritic cell(DC)maturation,overcame Treg-mediated immunosuppression,activated T cells to trigger adaptive immune responses,and enhanced the efficacy ofα-PD-L1 *** research demonstrated that RGD@Fe-AC provided a straightforward,easily implemented,and selective approach for pancreatic cancer treatment and immunotherapy.

With the loss of substantial natural wetlands in coastal zones,artificial wetlands provide alternative habitats for many *** management of artificial wetlands used by shorebirds plays an important role in maintaining the stability of shorebird *** tracking technique can obtain high-precision location information of individuals day and night,providing a good technical support for the study of quantitative relationship between waterfowls and their *** this study,satellite tracking method,Remote Sensing(RS)and Geographic Information System(GIS)technology were used to analyze the activity pattern and habitat utilization characteristics of Pied Avocet during breeding period in an artificial wetland complex in the Yellow River Delta(YRD),*** results showed that the breeding Pied Avocets had a small range of activity,with a total core and main home range of 33.10 km^(2) and 216.30 km^(2),*** species tended to forage in the pond and salt pan during the day and night,respectively,with an unfixed staying time in the breeding *** distance between breeding ground and feeding ground was less than 6 *** is emphasized that in addition to improving the conditions of the remaining natural habitats,effective managing artificial habitats is a priority for shorebird *** research could provide reference for the management of artificial wetlands in coastal zones and supply technique support for the protection of shorebirds and their habitats,and alleviate human-bird conflicts and sustainable development of coastal zones.

Optical materials capable of dynamically manipulating electromagnetic waves are an emerging field in memories,optical modulators,and thermal ***,their multispectral design preliminarily attracts much attention,aiming to enhance their efficiency and integration of ***,the multispectral manipulation based on these materials is challenging due to their ubiquitous wavelength dependence restricting their capacity to narrow *** this article,we cascade multiple tunable optical cavities with selective-transparent layers,enabling a universal approach to overcoming wavelength dependence and establishing a multispectral platform with highly integrated *** on it,we demonstrate the multispectral(ranging from 400 nm to 3 cm),fast response speed(0.9 s),and reversible manipulation based on a typical phase change material,vanadium *** platform involves tandem VO_(2)-based Fabry–Pérot(F-P)cavities enabling the customization of optical responses at target bands *** can achieve broadband color-changing capacity in the visible region(a shift of~60 nm in resonant wavelength)and is capable of freely switching between three typical optical models(transmittance,reflectance,and absorptance)in the infrared to microwave regions with drastic amplitude tunability exceeding *** work represents a state-of-art advance in multispectral optics and material science,providing a critical approach for expanding the multispectral manipulation ability of optical systems.

Binary polyantimony clusters,namely[Cu_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4–) and [Ag_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4–),containing coinage metals,were successfully synthesized and characterized,in which two homoatomic Sb73–subunits are bridged by two coinage metals in η^(4):η^(1) and η^(1):η^(1) coordination modes,***[M_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4-),two bridging Cu ions and two Sb atoms form a planar rhombic unit,which was revealed to have antiaromatic properties by theoretical *** electron structure and bonding analysis confirmed the presence of delocalized bonds in the rhombic unit and the metallophilic interaction between two formal M^(+) ions.

The coastal wetlands of the Yellow River Delta(YRD)in China are crucial for their valuable resources,environmental significance,and economic ***,these wetlands are also vulnerable to the dual threats of climate change and human *** substantial attention to the historical shifts in YRD's coastal wetlands,uncertainties remain regarding their future trajectory in the face of compound risks from climate change and anthropogenic *** on a range of remote sensing data sources,this study undertakes a comprehensive investigation into the evolution of YRD's coastal wetlands between 2000 and ***,the potential fate of coastal wetlands is thoroughly analyzed through the Land Use/Cover Change(LUCC)simulation using System Dynamic-Future Land Use Simulation(SD-FLUS)model and the extreme water levels projection integrated future sea-level rise,storm surge,and astronomical high tide in 2030,2050,and 2100 under scenarios of SSP1-2.6,SSP2-4.5,and *** revealed that YRD's coastal wetlands underwent a marked reduction,shrinking by 1688.72 km²from 2000 to *** decline was mostly attributed to the substantial expansion in the areas of artificial wetlands(increasing by 823.78 km2),construction land(increasing by 767.71 km²),and shallow water(increasing by 274.58 km²).Looking ahead to 2030-2100,the fate of coastal wetlands appears to diverge based on different *** the SSP1-2.6 scenario,the area of coastal wetland is projected to experience considerable *** contrast,the SSP5-8.5 scenario anticipates a notable decrease in coastal *** to the inundated area suffered from the current extreme water levels,the study projects a decrease of 6.8%-10.6%in submerged coastal wetlands by 2030 and 9.4%-18.2%by 2050 across all *** 2100,these percentages are projected to decrease by 0.4%(SSP2-4.5)and 27.1%(SSP5-8.5),but increase by 35.7%(SSP1-2.6).Results suggest that coastal wetlands in th

以某双边箱组合梁为研究对象,开展详细的椭圆形障条风障(EBWB)对桥面行车风环境影响的CFD数值模拟研究。首先检验湍流模型以及时间步长和网格密度无关性,然后比较在1.71 m防撞栏杆上设置EBWB或常规矩形障条风障(RBWB)的侧风折减系数的差异,进一步分析有无EBWB时的桥面行车风环境。通过研究侧风折减系数、风剖面曲线以及流场结构,分析了风障透风率和风障高度对桥面行车风环境的影响,同时在考虑桥梁阻力系数的基础上引入一个综合指标以比选最优风屏障形式。研究结果表明:SST k-ω、RNG k-ε两种湍流模型的计算三分力系数相差较小,0°风攻角下2种阻力系数相差仅为4.02%,说明当前模拟方法可靠;EBWB与RBWB均具有良好的减风效果,EBWB的侧风折减系数更小,阻力系数也更大;减小风障透风率或增大风障高度可以改善桥面行车风环境,但桥梁风荷载随之增大。对于所提的双边箱组合梁断面,综合考虑桥面行车风环境和桥梁风荷载后,透风率为52%且风障高度为1.486 m的椭圆形障条风障(总屏障高度为3.196 m)最优。
