Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is one of the major causes of visual impairment in adults with *** coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)is nowadays widely used as the golden criterion for diagnosing ***,wide-field OCTA(WF-OCTA)provided more abundant information including that of the peripheral retinal degenerative changes and it can contribute in accurately diagnosing *** need for an automatic DR diagnostic system based on WF-OCTA pictures attracts more and more attention due to the large diabetic population and the prevalence of retinopathy *** this study,automatic diagnosis of DR using vision transformer was performed using WF-OCTA images(12.mm×12.mm single-scan)centered on the fovea as the ***-OCTA images were automatically classified into four classes:No DR,mild nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR),moderate to severe NPDR,and proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).The proposed method for detecting DR on the test set achieves accuracy of 99.55%,sensitivity of 99.49%,and specificity of 99.57%.The accuracy of the method for DR staging reaches up to 99.2.%,which has been proven to be higher than that attained by classical convolutional neural network *** show that the automatic diagnosis of DR based on vision transformer and WF-OCTA pictures is more effective for detecting and staging DR.

The Nesterov accelerated dynamical approach serves as an essential tool for addressing convex optimization problems with accelerated convergence *** previous studies in this field have primarily concentrated on unconstrained smooth con-vex optimization *** this paper,on the basis of primal-dual dynamical approach,Nesterov accelerated dynamical approach,projection operator and directional gradient,we present two accelerated primal-dual projection neurodynamic approaches with time scaling to address convex optimization problems with smooth and nonsmooth objective functions subject to linear and set constraints,which consist of a second-order ODE(ordinary differential equation)or differential conclusion system for the primal variables and a first-order ODE for the dual *** satisfying specific conditions for time scaling,we demonstrate that the proposed approaches have a faster conver-gence *** only requires assuming convexity of the objective *** validate the effectiveness of our proposed two accel-erated primal-dual projection neurodynamic approaches through numerical experiments.

For the carbon-based catalyst to be active and stable,especially in harsh electrochemical environments,the key is to decrease the concentration of defects and raise the degree of graphitization of the carbon ***,we develop a highly graphitized graphene foam with multiplicated structure to fabricate self-supporting Pt-based catalysts for efficient and stable hydrogen evolution reaction(heR)*** foam(GO-2.50)is obtained through an ultra-high temperature treatment at 2.50℃,with perfect graphene structure and extremely low defect,ensuring high electrical conductivity and corrosion ***,its multiplicated structure provides an inherently favorable environment for the dispersion of Pt nanoparticles(Pt NPs)and offers abundant channels for electrolyte infiltration during the catalytic *** a result,the as-prepared Pt/GO-2.50 is far active and stable than the Pt NPs supported on commercial carbon paper(Pt/CP)counterpart toward catalyzing heR,exhibiting an outstanding activity and long-term durability(300 h@10 mA·cm^(−2.)in acidic/alkaline/seawater *** can be attributed to the stronger interaction between the lower-defect GO-2.50 substrate and Pt,as evidenced by characterization and theoretical *** work extends further insight into the design self-supporting catalysts of high activity and stability with promising prominent application toward green energy devices.

A modified four-dimensional linear active disturbance rejection control(LADRC)strategy is proposed for a dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous generator(DTP-PMSG)system to reduce cross-coupling between the d and q axis currents in the d-q subspace and harmonic currents in the x-y *** the d-q subspace,the proposed strategy uses a model-based LADRC to enhance the decoupling effect between the d and q axes and the disturbance rejection ability against parameter *** the x-y subspace,the 5th and 7th harmonic current suppression abilities are improved by using quasi-resonant units parallel to the extended state observer of the traditional *** proposed modified LADRC strategy improved both the steady-state performance and dynamic response of the DTP-PMSG *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed strategy is both feasible and effective.

In this paper,a new hybrid excited doubly salient stator-permanent-magnet motor is proposed,where both permanent magnets and DC field windings are located in the *** theory,the mathematical model and design method of the motor are *** corresponding output power equation and the relationship between the flux control capability and the extended speed range are deduced in *** using an efficient "one-step" three-dimensional(3D) finite element method,the electromagnetic performances are analyzed,in which the leakage flux outside the stator circumference and end-effect are taken into *** on the operation principle of the motor,the control strategy and scheme are developed and implemented *** experimental results and finite element analysis show that the proposed motor not only maintains the advantages of doubly salient permanent magnet motors,but also offers high energy efficiency over a wide speed range,which makes the motor an interesting candidate for electric vehicles.

According to the Kukhtarev equations and a simplified model based on the photovoltaic charge carriers transport mechanism, the distributions of the index changes (DICs) in LiNbO3:Fe crystals induced by sheet beams with various intensity profiles are theoretically analyzed. The numerically simulated results coincide with the analytic expressions deduced from the simplified model. The DICs in a LiNbO3:Fe crystal induced by sheet beams with rectangular, Gaussian and square law profiles are measured by using the interferometric method. By employing the analytic expressions, the experimental data points are well fitted. By utilizing the angular spectrum theory and the ray equation, the uniformities of the intensity profiles of the writing beams along the propagation directions and the influences of the self-defocusing effect of the crystal are numerically simulated, respectively. The results show that the experimental results are reliable. The numerically simulated method and the analytic expressions can be both employed to predict the DICs induced by sheet beams with various light intensity profiles. Furthermore, utilizing writing beams with proper intensity profiles, any desired index distributions could be obtained.

The outage probability performance of network coding for multicast relay system is analyzed in Nakagami-m fading *** transmission strategies,i.e.,complex field network coding (CFNC) and amplify-and-forward network coding (AFNC),are applied in the system,and the approximate expressions of outage probability are derived at high SNR and the conclusion is reached that the system diversity gains of two transmission strategies are both 2.,as is verified by numerical *** results also show that CFNC can outperform both AFNC and direct transmission without relay in the performances of system outage probability,sum rate and symbol error ratio.

Controlled and switchable adhesion is commonly observed in biological *** recent years,many scholars have focused on making switchable bio-inspired ***,making a bio-inspired adhesive with high adhesion performance and excellent dynamic switching properties is still a challenge.A Shape Memory Polymer Bio-inspired Adhesive(SMPBA)was successfully developed,well realizing high adhesion(about 337 kPa),relatively low preload(about90 kPa),high adhesion-to-preload ratio(about 3.74),high switching ratio(about 6.74),and easy detachment,which are attributed to the controlled modulus and contact area by regulating temperature and the Shape Memory Effect(SME).Furthermore,SMPBA exhibits adhesion strength of80–337 kPa on various surfaces(silicon,iron,and aluminum)with different roughness(Ra=0.02.–10.2.0)because of the conformal contact,reflecting outstanding surface *** finite element analysis verifies the bending ability under different temperatures,while the adhesion model analyzes the influence of preload on contact area and ***,an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)landing device with SMPBA was designed and manufactured to achieve UAV landing on and detaching from various *** study provides a novel switchable bio-inspired adhesive and UAV landing method.

Flexible electronics/spintronics attracts researchers’attention for their application potential abroad in wearable devices,healthcare,and other *** devices’performance(speed,energy consumption)is highly dependent on manipulating information bits(spin-orientation in flexible spintronics).In this work,we established an organic photovoltaic(OPV)/ZnO/Pt/Co/Pt heterostructure on flexible PET substrates with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy(PMA).Under sunlight illumination,the photoelectrons generated from the OPV layer transfer into the PMA heterostructure,then they reduce the PMA strength by enhancing the interfacial Rashba field *** coercive field(Hc)reduces from 800 Oe to 500 Oe at its maximum,and the magnetization can be switched up and down *** stability of sunlight control of magnetization reversal under various bending conditions is also tested for flexible spintronic ***,the voltage output of sunlight-driven PMA is achieved in our prototype device,exhibiting an excellent angular dependence and opening a door towards solar-driven flexible spintronics with much lower energy consumption.

Precipitous Arctic sea-ice decline and the corresponding increase in Arctic open-water areas in summer months give more space for sea-ice growth in the subsequent cold seasons. Compared to the decline of the entire Arctic multiyear sea ice,changes in newly formed sea ice indicate more thermodynamic and dynamic information on Arctic atmosphere–ocean–ice interaction and northern mid–high latitude atmospheric teleconnections. here, we use a large multimodel ensemble from phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6) to investigate future changes in wintertime newly formed Arctic sea ice. The commonly used model-democracy approach that gives equal weight to each model essentially assumes that all models are independent and equally plausible, which contradicts with the fact that there are large interdependencies in the ensemble and discrepancies in models' performances in reproducing observations. Therefore, instead of using the arithmetic mean of well-performing models or all available models for projections like in previous studies, we employ a newly developed model weighting scheme that weights all models in the ensemble with consideration of their performance and independence to provide more reliable projections. Model democracy leads to evident bias and large intermodel spread in CMIP6 projections of newly formed Arctic sea ice. However, we show that both the bias and the intermodel spread can be effectively reduced by the weighting scheme. Projections from the weighted models indicate that wintertime newly formed Arctic sea ice is likely to increase dramatically until the middle of this century regardless of the emissions ***, it may decrease(or remain stable) if the Arctic warming crosses a threshold(or is extensively constrained).
