Design and experiment of seed furrow cleaning device based on throwing and sliding for no-till maize seeding

In order to solve the serious problems of seeds are covered by residual film and overhead by straw during no-till seeding,a seed furrow cleaning device for no-till maize seeding was developed,which adopted a collaborative cleaning method of rotating spring teeth and curved sliding *** movement process and motion trajectory of throwing residual film and straw were *** maximum distance of throwing to one side in horizontal and maximum height in vertical were *** motion trajectory of adjacent spring teeth was analyzed by Matlab,the motion trajectories of adjacent spring teeth at different speeds of 120 r/min,150 r/min and 180 r/min were achieved,the theoretical analysis results showed that the area of omitted area decreased with the increase of rotation *** on theoretical and simulation analysis of critical parameters,the forward speed of machine,rotation speed of spring teeth,and dip angle between spring teeth and rotary disc were selected as the influencing *** cleaning rate(SCR)and residual film cleaning rate(RFCR)were selected as the response values for three factors and three levels of orthogonal experiment *** optimal combination of the selected parameters was obtained,and the field test verification was also *** results showed that the rotation speed of spring teeth,forward speed and dip angle of spring teeth significantly affect SCR and RFCR were in decreasing *** field test results indicated that when forward speed was 6 km/h,rotation speed of spring teeth was 180 r/min and dip angle of spring teeth was 40°,SCR and RFCR were 88.27%and 84.31%,*** study provides a reference for the development of no-till seeder in Xinjiang and the northwestern regions of China.

Two-dimensional finite element modeling on the crustal shortening and the surface erosion-sedimentation process across northern piedmont of the Tianshan Mountains

The Tianshan Mountains,located in the northwestern China,are bounded by the Tarim Basin to south and the junggar Basin to *** the north piedmont of this mountain range,ongoing thrusting and folding forms a set of roughly parallel *** observations predicted that averaged over last^1 Ma time scale,the shortening rates of these anticlines are about2.1–5.5 mm/a;However by averaged over about 10±2 kyr,their shortening rates reduce to merely about 1.25±0.5 mm/*** slow shortening of the anticlines in the last^10±2 kyr is coarsely concurrent in time with the last global ***,we use a two-dimensional finite element model to explore crustal deformation across north piedmont of the Tianshan Mountains under various erosion-sedimentation conditions that are assumed to represent the climate-controlled surface *** experiments show that with a relatively weak erosion-sedimentation strength,the crustal shortening is accommodated mainly by north piedmont of the Tianshan Mountains,similar to the high shortening rate of anticlines averaged over the last^*** increasing erosion-sedimentation strength,the resultant crustal shortening is transformed gradually toward the Tianshan Mountains,resulting in the shortening rate in its north piedmont being decelerated to what is observed as averaged over the last^10±2 *** result suggests that erosion and sedimentation could play an important role mechanically on strain localization across an intra-continent active tectonic ***,if the climate change around the last global deglaciation could be simply representative to the enhancement of surface erosion and sedimentation across the pre-existed Tianshan Mountains and its foreland,our models indicate that the observed shortening-rate variations averaged over^1 Ma and^10±2kyr time scales around north piedmont of the Tianshan Mountains should be resulted from climate changes.

Refined management is an inevitable trend in the development of livestock *** acquisition of breeding environment parameters is beneficial to improve breeding efficiency while reducing environmental *** is an important breeding environmental factor during broiler *** this study,a short-term broiler breeding experiment was conducted with different light color illumination environments in a digital breeding chamber under lab *** to experimental results,the Red Light(RL)group was conducive to the growth of broilers at 30 d of age with low NH3 emission concentration;the Green Light(GL)group inhibited the broiler growth;the Yellow Light(YL)group showed the highest average emission concentration of NH3 and lowest daily average emission concentration of CO_(2).According to the analysis of moisture content,pH value,and C/N in the broiler manure,it can be concluded that the physical and chemical properties of broiler defecation quantities were different under various light color illuminations,resulting in the difference in broiler growth conditions and harmful gas *** study results could provide a research basis and ideas of reference to establish a relationship between LED illumination information,broiler growth performance,and harmful gas emission.

Bayesian inference-based wear prediction method for plain bearings under stationary mixed-friction conditions

This study introduces a method to predict the remaining useful life(RUL)of plain bearings operating under stationary,wear-critical *** this method,the transient wear data of a coupled elastohydrodynamic lubrication(mixed-EHL)and wear simulation approach is used to parametrize a statistical,linear degradation *** method incorporates Bayesian inference to update the linear degradation model throughout the runtime and thereby consider the transient,system-dependent wear progression within the RUL prediction.A case study is used to show the suitability of the proposed *** results show that the method can be applied to three distinct types of post-wearing-in behavior:wearing-in with subsequent hydrodynamic,stationary wear,and progressive wear *** hydrodynamic operation leads to an infinite lifetime,the method is successfully applied to predict RUL in cases with stationary and progressive wear.

On April 25,2015,a magnitude Mw7.9 earthquake occurred in the southern Himalaya,Nepal,at 14:11 local time(UTC2015-04-25 06:11).Its epicenter was at 28.147°N,84.708°E with a source depth of 15 km,as determined by the United States Geological Survey(USGS).The earthquake hazard and secondary disasters,including landslides and avalanches,resulted in serious damage to Nepal and surroundings(including Kathmandu and the northern Himalaya of China)and caused huge loss of life and considerable destruction of property.

Alpine treeline ecotones are highly sensitive to climate *** low temperature-determined alpine treeline is expected to shift upwards in response to global ***,little is known about how temperature interacts with other important factors to influence the distribution range of tree species within and beyond the alpine treeline ***,we used a GF-2 satellite image,along with bioclimatic and topographic variables,to develop an ensemble suitable habitat model based on the species distribution modeling algorithms in *** investigated the distribution of suitable habitats for *** under three climate change scenarios(i.e.,low(SSP126),moderate(SSP370)and extreme(SSP585)future emission trajectories)between two consecutive time periods(i.e.,current-2055,and 2055-2085).By 2055,the potential distribution range of *** will expand under all three climate *** medium and high suitable areas will decline under SSP370 and SSP585scenarios from 2055 to ***,under the three climate scenarios,the uppermost altitudes of low suitable habitat will rise to 2,329 m a.s.l.,while the altitudes of medium and high suitable habitats will fall to 2,201 and2,051 m *** 2085,*** promotes the expansion of *** distribution range in Changbai Mountain,and this expansion will be modified by precipitation as climate warming *** interaction between temperature and precipitation plays a significant role in shaping the potential distribution range of *** in the alpine treeline *** study reveals the link between environmental factors,habitat distribution,and species distribution in the alpine treeline ecotone,providing valuable insights into the impacts of climate change on high-elevation vegetation,and contributing to mountain biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

To quantify the relative contributions of Arctic sea ice and unforced atmospheric internal variability to the “warm Arctic, cold East Asia”(WACE) teleconnection, this study analyses three sets of large-ensemble simulations carried out by the Norwegian Earth System Model with a coupled atmosphere–land surface model, forced by seasonal sea ice conditions from preindustrial, present-day, and future periods. Each ensemble member within the same set uses the same forcing but with small perturbations to the atmospheric initial state. hence, the difference between the present-day(or future) ensemble mean and the preindustrial ensemble mean provides the ice-loss-induced response, while the difference of the individual members within the present-day(or future) set is the effect of atmospheric internal variability. Results indicate that both present-day and future sea ice loss can force a negative phase of the Arctic Oscillation with a WACE pattern in winter. The magnitude of ice-induced Arctic warming is over four(ten) times larger than the ice-induced East Asian cooling in the present-day(future) experiment;the latter having a magnitude that is about 30% of the observed cooling. Sea ice loss contributes about 60%(80%) to the Arctic winter warming in the present-day(future) experiment. Atmospheric internal variability can also induce a WACE pattern with comparable magnitudes between the Arctic and East Asia. Ice-lossinduced East Asian cooling can easily be masked by atmospheric internal variability effects because random atmospheric internal variability may induce a larger magnitude warming. The observed WACE pattern occurs as a result of both Arctic sea ice loss and atmospheric internal variability, with the former dominating Arctic warming and the latter dominating East Asian cooling.
