the burning of agricultural waste is a major cause of environmental *** this study,we sought to prepare biochar from agricultural waste as a source material for the preparation of carbon nanoparticles(CNPs).Surface morphology,hydrodynamic particle size,and purity and crystallinity of CNPs were extensively investigated using transmission electron microscopy(tEM),zeta sizing,and X-ray diffraction(XRd)spectroscopy,*** CNPs were subsequently immersed in a solution of potassium nitrate(KNO_(3))to prepare a CNPs/NK nanocomposite(CNPs loaded with nitrogen(N)and potassium(K))as a nanocomposite fertilizer for common bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.).the CNPs/NK nanocomposite was sprayed as a foliar fertilizer at 0,10,20,30,and 40 mg L^(-1) on common bean plants 25 d after sowing on a farm in Shebin el-Kom,el-Monifia,*** growth,yield,and quality of common bean were investigated during two successive growing seasons(2017 and 2018).the highest seed yields of 2.04 and 2.01 t ha^(-1) and the highest values of growth parameters including plant height of 61.5 and 59.2 cm,number of leaves per plant of 35 and 35,number of flowers per plant of 83.3 and 82.7,and plant fresh weight of 148.7 and 152.8 g plant^(-1) were obtained when using the CNPs/NK nanocomposite at a concentration of 20 mg L^(-1) during the 2017 and 2018 growing seasons,respectively.

Balancing the risks and benefits of organophosphate pesticides(OPs)on human and environmental health relies partly on their accurate measurement.A highly sensitive fluorescence anti-quenching multi-residue bio-barcode immunoassay was developed to detect OPs(triazophos,parathion,and chlorpyrifos)in apples,turnips,cabbages,and *** nanoparticles were functionalized with monoclonal antibodies against the tested *** oligonucleotides were complementarily hybridized with an RNA fluorescent label for signal *** detection signals were generated by dNA-RNA hybridization and ribonuclease H dissociation of the *** resulting fluorescence signal enables multiplexed quantification of triazophos,parathion,and chlorpyrifos residues over the concentration range of 0.01-25,0.01-50,and 0.1-50 ng/mL with limits of detection of 0.014,0.011,and 0.126 ng/mL,*** mean recovery ranged between 80.3% and 110.8% with relative standard deviations of 7.3%-17.6%,which correlate well with results obtained by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).the proposed bio-barcode immunoassay is stable,reproducible and reliable,and is able to detect low residual levels of multi-residue OPs in agricultural products.

Objective: to evaluate the antidiabetic and antioxidant ef ects of aqueous ethanolic extract of Caesalpinia ferrea(C. ferrea) leaf in normal and streptozotocin(StZ) induced diabetic ***: Male Sprague-dawley rats divided into 6 groups of 6 rats each were assigned into diabetic and non-diabetic groups. diabetes was induced in rats by single intraperitoneal administration of StZ(65 mg/kg body weight). C. ferrea extract at the doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight was orally administered to both diabetic and non-diabetic animals for a period of 30 days. After completion of experimental duration serum, liver and pancreas were used for evaluating biochemical and histopathological ***: Oral administration of C. ferrea leaf extract significantly reduced elevated serum glucose, α-amylase, liver function levels and signii cantly increased serum insulin, total protein and body weight as well as improved lipid proi le due to diabetes. Furthermore, the treatment resulted in a marked increase in glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, catalase and reduced glutathione, and diminished levels of lipid peroxidation in liver and pancreas of diabetic rats. Histopathological studies demonstrated the reduction in the pancreas and liver damage and coni rmed the biochemical i ***: From the present study, it can be concluded that the C. ferrea leaf extract ef ectively improved hyperglycaemia while inhibiting the progression of oxidative stress in StZ-induced diabetic rats. Hence, it can be used in the management of diabetes mellitus.

AIM to evaluate the evolution, trends in surgical approaches a n d r e c o n s t r u c t i o n t e c h n i q u e s, a n d i m p o r t a n t lessons learned from performing 1000 consecutive pancreaticoduodenectomies(Pds) for periampullary *** this is a retrospective review of the data of all patients who underwent Pd for periampullary tumor during the period from January 1993 to April 2017. the data were categorized into three periods, including early period(1993-2002), middle period(2003-2012), and late period(2013-2017).RESULtS the frequency showed Pd was increasingly performed after the year 2000. With time, elderly, cirrhotic and obese patients, as well as patients with uncinate process carcinoma and borderline tumor were increasingly selected for Pd. the median operative time and postoperative hospital stay decreased significantly over the periods. Hospital mortality declined significantly, from 6.6% to 3.1%. Postoperative complications significantly decreased, from 40% to 27.9%. there was significant decrease in postoperative pancreatic fistula in the second 10 years, from 15% to 12.7%. there was a significant improvement in median survival and overall survival among the *** Surgical results of Pd significantly improved, with mortality rate nearly reaching 3%. Pancreatic reconstruction following Pd is still debatable. the survival rate was also improved but the rate of recurrence is still high, at 36.9%.

Nigella sativa and Matricaria chamomilla are extensively consumed as tea or tonic. despite their widespread use as a home remedy, relatively few trials evaluated their benefits in nephroprotection. Hence, this study evaluates the nephroprotective effects of supportive treatments (N. sativa, M. chamomilla and vitamin E) in cisplatin nephrotoxicity rat model. Eighty rats divided into 10 groups, of 8 animals each. the first group (G1) injected with saline intra-pretoneal (i.p). G2 injected with 5 mg/kg cisplatin i.p on zero day of experiment and repeated 4 times, with 5 days free interval. G3-G10 received daily supportive treatments, started 5 days before the experiment (–5day). Concomitantly G4, G6, G8 and G10 injected with 5 mg/kg cisplatin i.p like G2. On day sixteen, animal scarified, serum and/or kidney tissue were used to determine kidney function tests (serum urea, creatinine, NAG, β-gal), oxidative stress indices (NO, LPO), antioxidant activities (SOd), sulphur compounds (GGt, GSH, total thiols ), apoptotic indices (cathepsin d, dNA fragmentation), two minerals (Ca2+ and zn2+). Cisplatin caused marked elevation in serum GGt that reduced signifi-cantly in group received M. chamomilla with cisplatin (P there is a correlation between GGt and NAG in cisplatin group (r = 0.731 p that may suggest one of possible mechanisms of renal injury by cisplatin. M. chamomilla followed by N. sativa and vitamin E improved the biochemical and pathological renal injury, as determined by increasing the body weight, normalizing the kidney functions, decreasing the oxidative stress markers, improving the apoptotic markers, minimizing the pathological changes. Hence, N. sativa and M. chamomilla will be a promising nephroprotective agents for reducing cisplatin nephrotoxicity, most probably, by antioxidants effects and inhibition GGt production, respectively.

In this paper two proposed methods of input impedance calculation for Bow-tie antenna are introduced. the proposed methods show input impedance calculation with high accuracy. Also, design curves for input impedance values were developed depending on the geometry of antenna. the proposed design curves are used to design a Bow-tie type RFId tag antenna. the input impedance of the tag antenna is calculated using proposed methods and compared with that obtained using CSt studio suite 2014 and IE3d Zeland version 12.0 software packages. the results are investigated and discussed. the tag antenna is fabricated, measured and the obtained input impedance is compared with the simulation and the proposed methods. Good agreement among measured input impedance and that simulated by CSt, IE3d or proposed methods is obtained.

Objective: the work is a comparative study between two modalities of radiation therapy, the aim of which is to compare 3d conformal radiation therapy(3d-CRt) and intensity modulated radiation therapy(IMRt) in treating posterior fossa boost in children with high risk medulloblastoma; dosimetrically evaluating and comparing both techniques as regard target coverage and doses to organs at risk(OAR). Methods: twenty patients with high risk medulloblastoma were treated by 3d-CRt technique. A dosimetric comparison was done by performing two plans for the posterior fossa boost, 3d-CRt and IMRt plans, for the same patient using Eclipse planning system(version 8.6). Results: IMRt had a better conformity index compared to 3d-CRt plans(P value of 0.000). As for the dose homogeneity it was also better in the IMRt plans, yet it hasn't reached the statistical significant value. Also, doses received by the cochleae, brainstem and spinal cord were significantly less in the IMRt plans than those of 3d-CRt(P value t technique was clearly able to improve conformity and homogeneity index, spare the cochleae, reduce dose to the brainstem and spinal cord in comparison to 3dCRt technique.

Synthesis of Pyrroles and Condensed Pyrroles as Anti-Inflammatory Agents with Multiple Activities and their Molecular docking Study

We herein disclose a series of novel pyrrole derivatives as well as fused pyrrolopyridines 6a,b and 7a,b, pyrrolopyrazoles 8a, b, pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives 10a-d, 12a,b, 14a,b, 18a,b, 20a,b, 21a,b, 22a,b, 23a,b, 24a,b, 31a,b, 36a,b, 40a,b, pyrrolo[1,2,6]thiadiazine derivatives 19a,b, pyrrolotriazolopyrimidines 25a,b, 26a,b, 27a,b and 28a,b, pyrrolo[2,3-d][1,2,3]triazine derivatives 32a,b and pyrrolo[2,3-d][1,3]oxazine derivatives 39a,b as novel compounds. All compounds were evaluated for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic (compared to the reference drug Indomethacin) and antimicrobial activities (compared to the reference drug Ampicillin and Fluconazole). Compounds 4d, 5b-d, 6a,b, 9c,d, 10d, 12ab, 13b, 19a,b, 21b, 23b, 31a,b, 38b and 40a were found to be the most active anti-inflammatory drugs exhibiting potency ranging from 1 - 1.01 compared to the reference drug indomethacin. In addition to docking study of these highly active twenty compounds against the active site of cyclooxygenase-2 enzyme (COX-2), among the tested compounds, compounds 5d, 9d, 11b, 12a, 13b and 32a showed multiple activities;anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-bacterial activities.
