Robust and High Accuracy algorithm for Detection of Pupil Images

Recently,many researchers have tried to develop a robust,fast,and accurate *** algorithm is for eye-tracking and detecting pupil position in many applications such as head-mounted eye tracking,gaze-based human-computer interaction,medical applications(such as deaf and diabetes patients),and attention *** real-world conditions challenge the eye appearance,such as illumination,reflections,and *** the other hand,individual differences in eye physiology and other sources of noise,such as contact lenses or *** present work introduces a robust pupil detection algorithm with and higher accuracy than the previous attempts for real-time analytics *** proposed circular hough transform with morphing canny edge detection for Pupillometery(CHmCEP)algorithm can detect even the blurred or noisy images by using different filtering methods in the pre-processing or start phase to remove the blur and noise and finally the second filtering process before the circular Hough transform for the center fitting to make sure better *** performance of the proposed CHmCEP algorithm was tested against recent pupil detection *** and results show that the proposed CHmCEP algorithm achieved detection rates of 87.11,78.54,58,and 78 according to´Swirski,ExCuSe,Else,and labeled pupils in the wild(LPW)data sets,*** results show that the proposed approach performs better than the other pupil detection methods by a large margin by providing exact and robust pupil positions on challenging ordinary eye pictures.

The human motion data collected using wearables like smartwatches can be used for activity recognition and emergency event *** is especially applicable in the case of elderly or disabled people who live self-reliantly in their *** sensors produce a huge volume of physical activity data that necessitates real-time recognition,especially during *** is one of the most important problems confronted by older people and people with movement *** previous techniques were introduced and a few used webcam to monitor the activity of elderly or disabled ***,the costs incurred upon installation and operation are high,whereas the technology is relevant only for indoor ***,commercial wearables use a wireless emergency transmitter that produces a number of false alarms and restricts a user’s *** this background,the current study develops an Improved WhaleOptimizationwithDeep Learning-Enabled Fall Detection for Disabled People(IWODL-FDDP)*** presented IWODL-FDDP model aims to identify the fall events to assist disabled *** presented IWODLFDDP model applies an image filtering approach to pre-process the ***,the EfficientNet-B0 model is utilized to generate valuable feature vector ***,the Bidirectional Long Short Term memory(BiLSTm)model is used for the recognition and classification of fall ***,the IWO method is leveraged to fine-tune the hyperparameters related to the BiLSTm method,which shows the novelty of the *** experimental analysis outcomes established the superior performance of the proposed IWODL-FDDP method with a maximum accuracy of 97.02%.

Does Right Coronary Artery Stenosis Increase morbi-mortality in Patients Undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Graft for Left main Coronary Artery Disease?

Background: The association of right coronary artery (RCA) stenosis in patients undergoing myocardial revascularization for left main coronary artery (LmCA) stenosis affects the prognosis. This study aimed to compare immediate results of patients with isolated LmCA stenosis and those with combined RCA stenosis. Patients and methods: We retrospectively evaluated 107 consecutive patients with LmCA disease who underwent coronary artery bypass grafts. The patients were divided into two groups: isolated LmCA stenosis (n = 36) and LmCA stenosis + RCA stenosis (n = 71). Different variables (preoperative, intra operative and post operative) were compared. Results: Patients with LmCA stenosis + RCA stenosis experienced higher prevalence of diabetes mellitus (p = 0.024) and smoker (p = 0.032). also left ventricular EF was reduced (p = 0.004). myocardial revascularization was more complete in patients with LmCA stenosis + RCA stenosis (p = 0.033), but in-hospital mortality rate was higher (12.6% vs 5.5%) in isolated LLmCA stenosis, but it did not reach statistical significance (p = 0.32). Except low output syndrome (LOS) that was frequent in presence of RCA stenosis (p = 0.026), no significant difference was found between groups for other complications. Conclusion: The presence of RCA stenosis in patients undergoing CABG for LmCA disease increases 30 day mortality but without significant impact on overall morbidities.

We report a 26-year-old man with critical aortic coarctation, severe bicuspid aortic valve stenosis, infective endocarditis and ascending aortic aneurysm. He underwent simultaneously in singlestage a Bentall’s procedure and an extra-anatomic ascending-descending aortic bypass grafting by 14-mm Dacron tube, through median sternotomy. The immediate postoperative outcome was favourable. The CT scan control for 7 years after surgery showed a good patency of the extra-anatomic bypass.

Redo Cardiac Surgery: Bleeding Control

Redo cardiac surgery increases?mortality and morbidity. The aim of this study was to determine if aprotinin was superior to tranexamic acid concerning control bleeding loss after redo valve surgery. A retrospective study was conducted from January 1994 until December 2014. 221 patients underwent redo cardiac valve surgery and separated into two groups: aprotinin group (n?=?85) and tranexamic acid group (n?=?136). Univariate tests were applied for data analysis. A total of 221 patients were enrolled in this study. This cohort was separated into two groups: aprotinin group (n?=?85) and tranexamic acid group (n?=?136). Euroscore in tranexamic acid group was higher: 5.96 ± 3.04 vs.?5.17 ± 2.83 in aprotinin group?(p?=?0.055). There was no statistical difference in postoperative mortality between the two groups (p?= 0.153). No statistical differences were reported concerning: total blood loss (p?= 0.51), red blood cells transfusion (p?= 0.215), reexploration for bleeding (p?= 0.537) and postoperative renal failure (p?= 0.79). There were statistical differences concerning mechanical ventilation time, which is longer in tranexamic acid group (p?= 0.008) and the use of inotropic drug support, which is more frequent in the tranexamic acid group (p?= 0.001). Our results demonstrated that tranexamic acid and aprotinin reduce transfusion requirement and blood loss. Due to financial reason, we chose tranexamic acid in preventing blood loss in redo valve surgery.
