Turkey ranks the third in the production of chestnuts in the world having an important place both in domestic and global markets. However, the chestnut production and the number of trees have been diminishing in recent years. Therefore, in vitro propagation of the chestnut, in addition to the classical propagation techniques, should be applied. Especially the propogation of the early maturing cultivars and production of the quality chestnuts will provide a better income to the producer. Here, somatic embryo production and regeneration from the immature cotyledons of the early maturing cultivars of the European chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill), Haciibis and Karamehmet, were studied using the somatic embryogenesis, one of the in vitro propagation techniques. To induce the somatic embryogenesis, 168 different combinations were applied to both cultivars. The somatic embryogenesis rate in Haciibis cultivar, in which the interactions were observed among the applications, was found to be 9.9% while it was 11.1% for the Karamehmet cultivar. Dessication, cold treatment, gibberellic acid (GA3) and benzyladenine (BA) + naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) applications were performed on the regeneration of the somatic embryos, and 40% conversion to plant was obtained with desiccation together with BA + NAA supplementation to the medium.

Automated evaluation of parapapillary choroidal microvasculature in crowded optic discs:a controlled,optical coherence tomography angiography study

AIM:To compare superficial and deep vascular properties of optic discs between crowded discs and controls using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCT-A).METHODS:Thirty patients with crowded discs,and 47 control subjects were enrolled in the *** eye of each individual was included and OCT-A scans of optic discs were obtained in a 4.5×4.5 mm^(2) rectangular *** peripapillary capillary(RPC)density,peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer(pRNFL)thickness,cup volume,rim area,disc area,cup-to-disc(c/d)area ratio,and vertical c/d ratio were obtained automatically using device *** parapapillary choroidal microvasculature(PPCMv)density was calculated using MATLAB *** the vertical c/d ratio of the optic disc was absent or small cup,it was considered as a crowded ***:The mean signal strength index of OCT-A images was similar between the crowded discs and control eyes(P=0.740).There was no difference in pRNFL between the two groups(P=0.102).There were no differences in RPC density in whole image(P=0.826)and peripapillary region(P=0.923),but inside disc RPC density was higher in crowded optic discs(P=0.003).The PPCMv density in the inner-hemisuperior region was also lower in crowded discs(P=0.026).The pRNFL thickness was positively correlated with peripapillary RPC density(r=0.498,PluSION:The higher inside disc RPC density and lower inner-hemisuperior PPCMv density are found in eyes with crowded optic discs.

Contaminants of Emerging Concern(CECs)are human-made chemicals that remain *** continuous detection of CECs in aquatic ecosystems,due to their incomplete removal,emphasizes the importance of understanding their fate and impact on the environment and human *** detrimental effects of CECs on marine eukaryotes are well documented in multiple ***,their impact on marine bacteria and their biodegradation by these organisms are not well *** this study,two marine bacteria,Priestia sp.35 ODPABA G14 and Rhodococcus sp.23 AHTN G14,previously isolated from submarine sediments,were *** two strains were tested for their resistance as well as their capacity to degrade different classes of hydrophobic and hydrophilic CECs,including synthetic musks,UV filters,pesticides and *** strains showed high resistance to all of the hydrophobic tested CECs even up to 500 mg L^(-1).Only Ketoprofen was toxic to bacterial cells,particularly to Rhodococcus *** at concentration as low as 4 mg L^(-1).Furthermore,Priestia *** Rhodococcus *** exhibited high biodegradation potential,especially for hydrophobic *** this may not apply to all pollutants,the data presented in this study suggest a positive correlation between marine bacterial resistance to CECs and their high biodegradation potentials.

Twenty-one outcrop samples collected from a 28-m-thick section from the Safranbolu Formation of the southwestern part of the Safranbolu Basin,Anatolia,Turkey yielded well-preserved benthic foraminifera belonging mainly to the genera Alveolina,Nummulites,Assilina,Rotalia,Disclocyclina and *** is the most diversified genus that is represented by sixteen species:Alveolina archiaci,***,***,***,***,***,***,***,***,***,***,*** gueroli,***,***,*** and *** safranboluensis and *** are described *** of the fossil assemblage with those assemblages previously reported from both Turkey and other Tethyan sub-basins revealed that the deposition occurred during the Cuisian(Eocene)and corresponded to Shallow Benthic Foraminiferal Zones(SBFZ)10–*** abundance and diversity of the larger benthic foraminifera indicated that the Safranbolu Formation was deposited under transgressive conditions.

The pollen morphology of six taxa of the genus Acinos Miller has been examined under scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and a description of each taxon has been given. Acinos pollen is stephanocolpate （hexacolpate）. Two main exine sculpturing types, foveolate-reticulate （only in subspecies of A. troodi） and reticulate have been defined. The dimension for the polar length ranges between 25.8-47.4 μm, equatorial width 24.5-34.4μm, colpus length 20.0-40.5μm and colpus width 1.2-2.5 μm. The shape is mostly subprolate to prolate, seldomly prolate-spheroidal. The results reveal rather uniform morphological features, however fine details are characteristic to differentiate the pollen taxa. Acinos pollen also share some common morphological features with the other Lamiaceae pollen.

Efects of Die Corner Radius and Temperature on the Formability of AA7075-T6 Alloy

This study focused on the formability of aluminium alloy（7075-T6） sheets through hydroforming route. Formability of these sheets was tested using a warm forming setup at three diferent temperatures and four diferent die corner radii. Forming limit diagrams（FLD） were generated by measuring the grids of the sheet formed. The results show that the forming limit of AA7075-T6 can be significantly improved when the blank was heated to 140–250℃. It was also observed that as the temperature increases above 140℃, dome height began to decrease. Also the results indicated that both the die corner radius and temperature have a significant efect on the stress-strain curve and warm forming of AA7075-T6 sheets. Thus, with the temperature increased from room temperature（RT） to 140℃, the flow stress decreased and the strain increased, hence, the formability is enhanced. However, further increase in temperature causes decreases the flow stress and strain. Similar changes of the flow curve were seen in die corner radius. Decreasing the die corner radius decreases the flow stress and increase the strain. Moreover, an equation was obtained by establishing correlations between the experimental parameters and their results. In this way, it became possible to make predictions.

Objective:To investigate granulomatous inflammation etiology based on clinical history and ancillary ***:Children agedluded in the *** diagnosis was based on the results of immunohistochemical staining,molecular tests,culture,serology,radiological and other auxiliary laboratory *** were categorized into infectious and noninfectious ***:In total,174 patients with granulomatosis inflammation confirmed by histopathology were *** 59.2%patients were males,and the median age was 4.48(IQR 2.36-6.39)years(range:16 months-18 years).The tissues/organs that were most commonly biopsied were lymph node,bone,skin,and lung(51.1%,17.8%,9.2%,and 5.7%,respectively).Infectious and non-infectious causes were identified in 73.0%and 12.6%patients,respectively,in terms of granulomatosis inflammation etiology;however,no cause was identified in 14.4%*** most common infectious cause was tuberculosis(in 51.7%patients),followed by toxoplasmosis,aspergillosis,mucormycosis,leishmaniasis,and cat-scratch disease(in 8.6%,5.7%,1.7%,1.7%,and 1.1%patients,respectively).The common non-infectious cause was chronic granulomatous *** evaluation revealed granulomatosis inflammation in 33.3%patients,necrotizing granulomatosis inflammation in 30.5%patients,and caseating granulomatosis inflammation in 12.1%*** the pathology results of patients with and without tuberculosis were compared,the incidence of caseating granulomatosis inflammation(P=0.003)and necrotizing granulomatosis inflammation(P=0.005)was higher in patients with ***:Chronic granulomatous disease is the most common non-infectious cause in ***,primary or secondary immune deficiencies may cause granulomatosis inflammation,especially in pediatric patients.

In this paper, we consider the global existence of solutions for the Cauchy problem of the generalized sixth order bad Boussinesq equation. Moreover, we show that the supremum norm of the solution decays algebraically to zero as （1 ＋ t）-（1/7） when t approaches to infinity, provided the initial data are sufficiently small and regular.

This research investigates a broad range of possible factors affecting the adoption of new technology in the banking industry using adaptive LASSO and a standard logit *** research integrated the adoption of the innovation framework and the technology acceptance theory to develop a conceptual framework for the *** data was collected from 400 bank customers in North *** perception and other customerspecific factors such as perceived risk index and negative attitude toward new technologies index were formulated for the proposed conceptual *** findings indicated that individuals with a negative attitude toward new technology are least likely to adopt internet *** addition,the logit model suggested that age,education level,and general(innate)innovativeness significantly impact the adoption of internet ***,gender,income,occupation,perceived risk,familiarity with the internet,and social inclusion have no significant impact on internet banking adoption in North Cyprus.
