This work was devoted to the study of the selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH3 on calcined and hydrothermal treated cerium loaded zeolite *** parent faujasite zeolite Na-F(Si/Al=1.32 and SBET=749 m^2/g) used as support for the preparation of the catalysts was obtained from industrial sodium metasilicate and aluminum *** expected,the NO conversion increases with increasing the percentage of cerium in the structure of the faujasite *** NO conversion into N2 is reached at 400℃at a space velocity of 250 000 h^-*** high conversion is due to the redox shift between Ce^3+/Ce^4+and the strong acid sites related to the rare earth present in the framework that is the key in SCR of NO ***,the highest loaded cerium catalyst retains almost its activity after hydrothermal treatment at 850℃.This higher loading is desirable for both activity and stability provided that two stages of preparation are used to put the Ce ions in the sodalite cages.

The recently published article by Narchi et al[1]brings an important empirical insight into a very complex issue of parental consent for lumbar puncture(LP)in children;quite worrisome observation from authors'clinical practice that almost half of the parents refused to give consent for the LP is confirmed.[1]However,the concept of(parental)consent,used by Narchi et al,[1]would need to be further elaborated with introduction of two other important concepts in pediatrics-child's assent and parental *** concepts were endorsed by the policy statement of the American Academy of Pediatrics(published in 1995;reaffirmed in 2011).[2]Accordingly,only the patients with appropriate decisional capacity could give their informed *** all other situations,parents provide informed permission for an intervention on their child,with assent of the child if appropriate.[2]Most of children from age seven are thought to understand basic information if adequately presented,[3]The need for assent was also supported by the Confederation of European Specialists in Pediatrics,stating that all children have a right to give their assent(or dissent)and may refuse interventions that are not necessary to save their lives or prevent serious harm.[4]Furthermore,the responsibility to make decision in children is shared between physicians and *** later should provide informed permission before interventions(except in emergency situations),which includes all the elements of informed consent,reflecting the child's best interests.

Urinary tract infection （UTI） is one of the most common childhood infections. Permanent renal cortical scarring may occur in affected children, especially with recurrent UTIs, leading to long-term complications such as hypertension and chronic renal failure. To prevent such damage, several interventions to prevent UTI recurrences have been tried. The most established and accepted prevention at present is low dose long-term antibiotic prophylaxis. However it has a risk of break through in-fections, adverse drug reactions and also the risk of developing antibiotic resistance. The search is therefore on-going to fnd a safer, effective and acceptable alter-native. A recent meta-analysis did not support routine circumcision for normal boys with no risk factors. Vacci-nium Macrocarpon （cranberry）, commonly used against UTI in adult women, is also effective in reducing the number of recurrences and related antimicrobial use in children. Sodium pentosanpolysulfate, which prevents bacterial adherence to the uroepithelial cells in animal models, has shown conflicting results in human trials. When combined with antibiotic, Lactobacillus acidophilus （LA-5） and Bifidobacterium, by blocking the in vitro attachment of uropathogenic bacteria to uroepithelial cells, significantly reduce in the incidence of febrile UTIs. Deliberate colonization of the human urinary tract of patients with recurrent UTI with Escherichia-coli （E. coli ） 83972 has resulted in subjective beneft and less UTI requiring treatment. The non-pathogenic E. coli isolate NU14 DeltawaaL is a candidate to develop live-attenuated vaccine for the treatment and prevention of acute and recurrent UTI. Diagnosing and treating dysfunctional elimination syndromes decrease the incidence of recurrent UTI. A meta-analysis found the lack of robust prospective randomized controlled trials limited the strength of the established guidelines for surgical management of vesicoureteral reflux. The processing of molybdenum-uranium ore in a sulfuric acid solution using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant has been investigated. The leaching temperature, hydrogen peroxide concentration, sulfuric acid concentration, leaching time, particle size, liquid-to-solid ratio and agitation speed all have significant effects on the process. The optimum process operating parameters were： temperature： 95℃; H2O2 concentration： 0.5 M; sulfuric acid concentration： 2.5 M; time： 2 h; particle size： 74 gm, liquid-to-solid ratio： 14 ： 1 and agitation speed： 600 rpm. Under these experimental conditions, the extraction efficiency of molybdenum was about 98.4%, and the uranium extraction efficiency was about 98.7%. The leaching kinetics of molybdenum showed that the reaction rate of the leaching process is controlled by the chemical reaction at the particle surface. The leaching process follows the kinetic model 1 - （1-X）1/3 = kt with an apparent activation energy of 40.40 kJ/mole. The temperature, concentrations of H202 and H2SO4 and the mesh size are the main factors that influence the leaching rate. The reaction order in H2SO4 was 1.0012 and in H202 it was 1.2544.
