Objective During present investigation the data of a laboratory-scale anoxic sulfide oxidizing （ASO） reactor were used in a neural network system to predict its performance. Methods Five uncorrelated components of the influent wastewater were used as the artificial neural network model input to predict the output of the effluent using back-propagation and general regression algorithms. The best prediction performance is achieved when the data are preprocessed using principal components analysis （PCA） before they are fed to a back propagated neural network. Results Within the range of experimental conditions tested, it was concluded that the ANN model gave predictable results for nitrite removal from wastewater through ASO process. The model did not predict the formation of sulfate to an acceptable manner. Conclusion Apart from experimentation, ANN model can help to simulate the results of such experiments in finding the best optimal choice for ASO based denitrification. Together with wastewater collection and the use of improved treatment systems and new technologies, better control of wastewater treatment plant （WTP） can lead to more effective maneuvers by its operators and, as a consequence, better effluent quality.

To study the effect of phosphorus （P） deficiency on leaf photosynthesis and carbohydrates partitioning and to determine whether the characteristics of leaf photosynthesis and carbohydrates partitioning are related to low P tolerance in rice plants, a hydroponic culture experiment supplied with either sufficient P （10 mg/L） or deficient P （0.5 mg/L） was conducted by using two rice genotypes different in their responses to low P stress. Results showed that the plant growth of Zhenongda 454 （low P tolerant genotype） was less affected by P deficiency compared with Sanyang＇ai （low P sensitive genotype）. Under P-deficient conditions, photosynthetic rates of Zhenongda 454 and Sanyang＇ai were decreased by 16% and 35%, respectively, and Zhenongda 454 showed higher photosynthetic rate than Sanyang＇ai. Phosphorus deficiency decreased the stomatal conductance for both genotypes, but had no significant influence on leaf internal CO2 concentration （Ci）, suggesting that the decrease in leaf photosynthetic rate of rice plants induced by P deficiency was not due to stomatal limitation. Phosphorus deficiency increased the concentration of soluble carbohydrates and sucrose in shoots and roots for both genotypes, and also markedly increased the allocation of soluble carbohydrates and sucrose to roots. Under deficient P supply, Zhenongda 454 had higher root/shoot soluble carbohydrates content ratio and root/shoot sucrose content ratio than Sanyang＇ai. In addition, phosphorus deficiency increased the concentration of starch in roots for both genotypes, whereas had no effect on the content of starch in shoots or roots. Compared to genotype Sanyang＇ai, the better tolerance to low-P stress of Zhenongda 454 can be explained by the fact that Zhenongda 454 maintains a higher photosynthetic rate and a greater ability to allocate carbohydrates to the roots under P deficiency.

Although gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)are rare,with an incidence of 1/100000 per year,they are the most common sarcomas in the peritoneal *** considerable progress in the diagnosis and treatment of GIST,about half of all patients are estimated to experience *** only two drugs,sunitinib and regorafenib,approved by the Food and Drug Administration,selecting treatment options after imatinib failure and coordinating multidisciplinary care remain *** addition,physicians across the Middle East face some additional and unique challenges such as lack of published local data from clinical trials,national disease registries and regional scientific research,limited access to treatment,lack of standardization of care,and limited access to mutational *** global guidelines set a framework for the management of GIST,there are no standard local guidelines to guide clinical practice in a resource-limited ***,a group of 11 experienced medical oncologists from across the Gulf and Levant region,part of the Rare Tumors Gastrointestinal Group,met over a period of one year to conduct a narrative review of the management of GIST and to describe regional challenges and gaps in patient management as an essential step to proposing local clinical practice recommendations.

以籽粒镉积累水平不同的两种品种 (丙 972 5 2 ,低积累型 ;秀水 6 3,高积累型 )为材料 ,研究了镉胁迫对水稻植株生长和抗氧化酶系统的影响。采用水培试验 ,镉处理设 0 .0、0 .1、1.0和 5 .0 μmol/L 4个水平。结果表明 ,镉胁迫抑制植株生长和叶绿素合成 ,改变植株丙二醛 (MDA)含量和超氧物歧化酶 (SOD)、过氧化氢酶 (CAT)、过氧化物酶 (POD)活性。在抗氧化酶活性上 ,根和地上部对镉胁迫的反应存在着差异。总体上 ,SOD、CAT和POD活性随镉水平的提高而减少 ,而MDA含量则表现相反。根和地上部MDA含量随着培养液中镉浓度提高而增加 ,且增加幅度秀水 6 3明显大于丙 972 5 2。与对照相比 ,生长在 5 .0 μmol/LCd处理下的植株 ,SOD活性在孕穗期下降 4 6 %～ 5 2 % ,在分蘖期仅下降 13%～ 19%。高浓度镉胁迫下 ,两品种在MDA含量的增加幅度和叶绿素含量的降低幅度上表现不同 ,显示出它们对镉的耐性存在着差异。

Currently, schema integration frameworks use approaches like rule-based, machine learning, etc. This paper presents an ontology-based wrapper-mediator framework that uses both the rule-based and machine learning strategies at the same time. The proposed framework uses global and local ontologies for resolving syntactic and semantic heterogeneity, and XML for interoperability. The concepts in the candidate schemas are merged on the basis of the similarity coefficient, which is calculated using the defined rules and the prior mappings stored in the case-base.

Decision Aid Model for Private-owned Electric Vehicles Participating in Frequency Regulation Ancillary Service Market

To reduce the difficulty and enhance the enthusiasm of private-owned electric vehicles(EVs) in participating in frequency regulation ancillary service market(FRASM), a decision aid model(DAM) is proposed. This paper presents three options for EV participating in FRASM, i. e., the base mode(BM), unidirectional charging mode(UCM), and bidirectional charging/discharging mode(BCDM), based on a reasonable simplification of users' participating willingness. In BM, individual EVs will not be involved in FRASM, and DAM will assist users to set the optimal charging schemes based on travel plans under the time-of-use(TOU) price. UCM and BCDM are two modes in which EVs can take part in FRASM. DAM can assist EV users to create their quotation plan, which includes hourly upper and lower reserve capabilities and regulation market mileage prices. In UCM and BCDM, the difference is that only the charging rate can be adjusted in the UCM, and the EVs in BCDM can not only charge but also discharge if necessary. DAM can estimate the expected revenue of all three modes, and EV users can make the final decision based on their preferences. Simulation results indicate that all the three modes of DAM can reduce the cost, while BCDM can get the maximum expected revenue.

背景:高血压是一个全球流行的疾病。在撒哈拉以南的非洲,高血压患者就诊时,常常己经处于有并发症的晚期。另外,由于高血压早期没有明显症状,患者坚持服药的依从性较差,从而导致其继续进展损害靶器官。血压的慢性增加导致了心肌重构,进而促使左心室肥大,增加了心血管事件的风险,甚至心衰。左心室肥大可以作为高血压相关的靶器官损害的标记物。在高血压患者中,左心室肥大具有临床相关性,因为它是心血管事件风险的综合标志物,反映了高血压中血液动力学和非血液动力学因素对心脏的长期影响。心血管事件的风险随着左心室肥大的进展而增加。抗高血压治疗通过改善左心室肥大的而降低心血管事件风险。因此,如果通过常规程序评估,检测高血压患者的左心室肥大程度,结合肥大心室几何结构信息,将其分为低等或中等心血管事件风险。这对于分级总心血管事件风险和分级相应的治疗措施至关重要。在桑给巴尔-坦桑尼亚,尚无对左心室肥大负荷及其进展相关研究。目的:本研究旨在调查桑给巴尔的MnaziMmoja医院的患者中左心室肥大的患病率,模式和相关因素。具体目标具体目标如下:1.确定接受MMH治疗的LVH高血压患者的人口学特征2.确定接受MMH护理的高血压患者的LVH患病率。3.描述接受MMH治疗的LVH高血压患者的临床表现4.确定接受MMH护理的高血压患者的LVH相关危险因素。5.描述接受MMH护理的高血压患者的LVH心血管病变模式。方法:2018年6月至2018年12月,我们连续登记了 389名参加MnaziMmoja医院门诊的高血压患者。我们采用了连续方便的采样方法。心电图上左心室肥大的评估基于电压标准。此外,ECHO上的LVH分别基于男性和女性的左心室质量指数(LVMI),截止点分别是>115g/m2和95g/m2。使用卡方或Fisher精确检验来检测组间分类特征的频率差异。通过Studentt检验分析连续变量,并使用逻辑回归分析技术评估关联因子。P值2年(AOR.1.6,95%CI 1.0-2.5,P=0.04),肥胖(AOR 2.0,95%CI 1.1-3.4,P=0.02)和尿素升高(AOR 4.3,95%CI 1.9-9.5,P0.001)是多变量分析中LVH的独立预测因子。结论:本研究中左室几何结构异常的患病率达62%。女性,失业,农村居民,高血压持续时间>2年,肥胖和高血压患者的尿素水平升高,会增加LVH的患病风险。

The emergence of Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus （MERS-CoV） in 2012 brought back memories of the occurrence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus （SARS-CoV） in 2002. More than 1500 MERS-CoV cases were recorded in 42 months with a case fatality rate （CFR） of 40%. Meanwhile, 8000 cases of SARS-CoV were confirmed in six months with a CFR of 10%. The clinical presentation of MERS-CoV ranges from mild and non-specific presentation to progressive and severe pneumonia. No predictive signs or symptoms exist to differentiate MERS-CoV from community-acquired pneumonia in hospitalized patients. An apparent heterogeneity was observed in transmission. Most MERS-CoV cases were secondary to large outbreaks in healthcare settings. These cases were secondary to community-acquired cases, which may also cause family outbreaks. Travel-associated MERS infection remains low. However, the virus exhibited a clear tendency to cause large outbreaks outside the Arabian Peninsula as exemplified by the outbreak in the Republic of Korea. In this review, we summarize the current knowledge about MERS-CoV and highlight travel-related issues.

Pulmonary nodules are small, round, or oval-shaped growths on the lungs. They can be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). The size of a nodule can range from a few millimeters to a few centimeters in diameter. Nodules may be found during a chest X-ray or other imaging test for an unrelated health problem. In the proposed methodology pulmonary nodules can be classified into three stages. Firstly, a 2D histogram thresholding technique is used to identify volume segmentation. An ant colony optimization algorithm is used to determine the optimal threshold value. Secondly, geometrical features such as lines, arcs, extended arcs, and ellipses are used to detect oval shapes. Thirdly, Histogram Oriented Surface Normal Vector (HOSNV) feature descriptors can be used to identify nodules of different sizes and shapes by using a scaled and rotation-invariant texture description. Smart nodule classification was performed with the XGBoost classifier. The results are tested and validated using the Lung Image Consortium Database (LICD). The proposed method has a sensitivity of 98.49% for nodules sized 3–30 mm.
