Thymoquinone(TQ), one of the active components of Nigella sativa exhibited to have many biological effects. Several beneficial effects of TQ such as its antidiabetic, antioxidant, anticancer, hypolipidemic, and anti-inflammatory activities have been recognized. The present review focuses on the findings of recent studies on the protective effects of TQ against cardiovascular diseases. In the current review, we additionally concluded that TQ may be therapeutically effective agents for controlling diabetes and hyperlipidemia by decreasing the oxidative stress and inflammatory responses.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore neuromuscular fatigue and recovery profiles im individuals with intellectual disability(ID) after exhausting submaximal contraction.Methods: Ten men with ID were compared to 10 men without ID. The evaluation of neuromuscular function consisted in brief(3 s) isometric maximal voluntary contraction(IMVC) of the knee extension superimposed with electrical nerve stimulation before, immediately after, and during33 min after an exhausting submaximal isometric task at 15% of the IMVC. Force, voluntary activation level(VAL), potentiated twitch(Ptw), and electromyography(EMG) signals were measured during IMVC and then analyzed.Results: Individuals with ID developed lower baseline IMVC, VAL, Ptw; and RMS/M_(max) ratio(root-mean-square value normalized to the maximal peak-to-peak amplitude of the M-wave) than controls(p < 0.05). Nevertheless, the time to task failure was significantly longer in ID vs. controls(p < 0.05). The 2 groups presented similar IMVC decline and recovery kinetics after the fatiguing exercise. However. individuals with ID presented higher VAL and RMS/M_(max) ratio declines but lower Ptw decline compared to those without ID. Moreover, individuals with ID demonstrated a persistent central fatigue but faster recovery from peripheral fatigue.Conclusion: These differences in neuromuscular fatigue profiles and recovery kinetics should be acknowledged when prescribing training programs for individuals with ID.

Objective:To explore the serodiagnosis of hydatid cyst in human using different antigens of sheep(hydatid fluid,somatic and Lxcretory/secretory antigens of protoscolexi by ELISA and compares this result with commercial human ELISA kit.Methods:one hundred blood samples from patients with history of severe abdominal pain and cosinophilia were obtained.Ten serum samples were obtained from surgically and pathologically confirmed cystic echinococcosis patients from Mashhad university hospital as positive control and 5 serum samples from infant under one year old as negative control.Blood samples were centrifuged at 3000xg at 20℃for 15 min and sera were stored at-20℃.First,these samples were tested for the presence of antibody by commercial human ELISA.Then.ELISA was developed on microplates coated with hydatid fluid,Somatic and Excretory/secretory antigens of protoscolex of sheep.Results:The results of this study as analyzed by Kappa test showed that,hydatid fluid antigen could be used as a precise source of detection in indirect ELISA test.Conclusions:Hydatid fluid in comparison with Excretory-secretory and somatic antigens showed more compatibility agreement in kappa test which can be used for further studies in development of any ELISA test for diagnosis of human hydatidosis.

Detecting and segmenting salient objects from natural scenes, often referred to as salient object detection, has attracted great interest in computer vision. While many models have been proposed and several applications have emerged, a deep understanding of achievements and issues remains lacking. We aim to provide a comprehensive review of recent progress in salient object detection and situate this field among other closely related areas such as generic scene segmentation, object proposal generation, and saliency for fixation prediction. Covering 228 publications, we survey i) roots, key concepts, and tasks, ii) core techniques and main modeling trends, and iii) datasets and evaluation metrics for salient object detection. We also discuss open problems such as evaluation metrics and dataset bias in model performance, and suggest future research directions.

Recent advances in supervised salient object detection modeling has resulted in significant performance improvements on benchmark datasets. However, most of the existing salient object detection models assume that at least one salient object exists in the input image. Such an assumption often leads to less appealing saliency maps on the background images with no salient object at all. Therefore, handling those cases can reduce the false positive rate of a model. In this paper, we propose a supervised learning approach for jointly addressing the salient object detection and existence prediction problems. Given a set of background-only images and images with salient objects, as well as their salient object annotations, we adopt the structural SVM framework and formulate the two problems jointly in a single integrated objective function: saliency labels of superpixels are involved in a classification term conditioned on the salient object existence variable, which in turn depends on both global image and regional saliency features and saliency labels assignments. The loss function also considers both image-level and regionlevel mis-classifications. Extensive evaluation on benchmark datasets validate the effectiveness of our proposed joint approach compared to the baseline and state-of-the-art models.

Salient object detection remains one of the most important and active research topics in computer vision,with wide-ranging applications to object recognition,scene understanding,image retrieval,context aware image editing,image compression,etc. Most existing methods directly determine salient objects by exploring various salient object features.Here,we propose a novel graph based ranking method to detect and segment the most salient object in a scene according to its relationship to image border(background) regions,i.e.,the background feature.Firstly,we use regions/super-pixels as graph nodes,which are fully connected to enable both long range and short range relations to be modeled. The relationship of each region to the image border(background) is evaluated in two stages:(i) ranking with hard background queries,and(ii) ranking with soft foreground queries. We experimentally show how this two-stage ranking based salient object detection method is complementary to traditional methods,and that integrated results outperform both. Our method allows the exploitation of intrinsic image structure to achieve high quality salient object determination using a quadratic optimization framework,with a closed form solution which can be easily computed.Extensive method evaluation and comparison using three challenging saliency datasets demonstrate that our method consistently outperforms 10 state-of-theart models by a big margin.

目的护士对老年人的态度是影响老年人护理质量的因素之一。本研究的目的是评估伊拉姆市护士对老年人的态度。方法本研究选取了230名在伊拉姆市公立医院工作的护士进行横断面调查。采用简单随机抽样方法从工作人员名单中随机抽取调查对象。采用Kogan老年态度量表调查护士对老年人的态度。结果调查对象的平均年龄为(32.65±7.67)岁,对老年人的态度得分平均为(144.96±51.75)分。54.3%的护士对老年人持消极态度。方差分析结果显示,护士对老年人的态度与其年龄、婚姻状况、工作经历、所在病房类型有关(P<0.05)。讨论本研究中的护士对老年人有轻微的负面态度。因此,需要改善护士对老年人的态度,以提供高质量的护理。
