Tillage is one of the agricultural management practices that significantly impacts agroecosystems,crop production,and the *** tillage(CT)practices alter the soil environment and induce organic constituents’decomposition and the emission of greenhouse gases(GHGs),which contribute to the greenhouse effect and global *** organic matter,biological diversity,aggregate stability,high erosion and degradation of the soil environment,and sequestration strength are additional factors associated with CT,which negatively affect food security and environmental *** a result,CT is no more beneficial in the long run;consequently,zero tillage(ZT)could be a viable candidate for sustainable *** review to establish this systematically compared and summarized the effect of tillage systems(*** and ZT)by synthesizing and interpreting published data(>150 peer-reviewed articles)with>200 observations on soil ecosystem services and properties/agroecosystem,crop yield/food security,GHG emission,and carbon sequestration/environmental *** review established that ZT improves soil structure,aggregate stability,biological diversity,organic matter and nutrients,water and water use efficiency,and reduces soil degradation,erosion,tillage machinery impacts,and GHG *** allows timely seeding and better crop growth,increases yield and food security,improves carbon sequestration,strengthens soil storage potential,and helps to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change on environmental *** on various latent direct and indirect benefits,resource-saving ability,and broad adoption scope of ZT,it is corroborated that ZT is a practical and potential approach for improved and sustainable agroecosystem,food security,and environmental resilience.

A structural interpretation of the Ziarat block in the Balochistan region （a part of the Suleiman Fold and Thrust Belt） has been carried out using seismic and seismological data. Seismic data consists of nine 2.5D pre-stack migrated seismic lines, whereas the seismological data covers the Fault Plane Solution and source parameters. Structural interpretation describes two broad fault sets of fore and back thrusts in the study area that have resulted in the development of pop-up structures, accountable for the structural traps and seismicity pattern in terms of seismic hazard. Seismic interpretation includes time and depth contour maps of the Dungan Formation and Ranikot group, while seismological interpretation includes Fault Plane Solution, that is correlated with a geological and structural map of the area for the interpretation of the nature of the subsurface faults. Principal stresses are also estimated for the Ranikot group and Dungan Formation. In order to calculate anisotropic elastic properties, the parameters of the rock strength of the formations are first determined from seismic data, along with the dominant stresses （vertical, minimum horizontal, and maximum horizontal）. The differential ratio of the maximum and minimum horizontal stresses is obtained to indicate optimal zones for hydraulic fracturing, and to assess the potential for geothermal energy reservoir prospect generation. The stress maps indicate high values towards the deeper part of the horizon, and low towards the shallower part, attributed to the lithological and structural variation in the area. Outcomes of structural interpretation indicate a good correlation of structure and tectonics from both seismological and seismic methods.

Views of South Asian Physicians on Climate Related Health Effects: A Multinational Cross-Sectional Pilot Study

Background: South Asian populations are vulnerable to poor health outcomes associated with climate due to the region’s complex topography, poverty, lack of education, and population density. Physicians, being highly trusted members of society, can help mitigate climate change effects in their countries. Objectives: The present study assessed perceptions of physicians from four South Asian countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Pakistan). We hypothesized that physicians from these countries will be aware and knowledgeable about health effects of climate change. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional online survey of physicians between March and July 2022. Data of 201 physicians was analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test and Dunn’s post hoc method. Results: Physicians from four South Asian countries were attuned to the health risks associated with climate change. A majority of physicians (86.6%) believed that climate change would make health conditions in their countries more severe or frequent (Bangladesh 83.3%;Bhutan 70%;India 91% and Pakistan 90.8%). The most common health effect related to climate change was illnesses related to reduced outdoor air quality (54.3%). Common barriers to discuss climate change with patients from all four countries were physicians’ lack of knowledge (strongly agree, 13.8%;agree 47.7%) in how to approach the issue with patients, lack of time (strongly agree, 12%;agree, 48%) and their perception that patients were not interested in knowing about climate change (strongly agree, 8.6%;agree, 42.6%). More than half (56.2%) of the physicians reported no training (Bangladesh, 51.7%;Bhutan, 80%;India, 44.6%;Pakistan, 63.1%) and approximately 30% reported less than 20 hours of training (Bangladesh, 28.3%;Bhutan, 15.0%;India, 39.3%;Pakistan, 27.7%) in climate-change-related health effects. To investigate the nature of gas hydrates in the Makran area,new high-resolution geophysical data were acquired between *** data collected comprise multibeam and two-dimensional multi-channel seismic reflection *** multibeam bathymetry data show East-North-East(ENE)ridges,piggy-back basins,canyon and channel systems,and the morphology of the abyssal *** and discontinuous bottom simulating reflectors(BSRs)occur in the piggy-back basins on most of the seismic profiles *** BSRs cut the dipping layers with strong amplitude and reversed *** BSRs indicate a transition along a dipping high-permeable sand layers from gas-rich segment to the gas hydrate-bearing segment and sugge st alternating sediments of fine and relatively coarse grain *** BSRs are highly dynamic and attributed to slumps occurring in the study *** BSRs induced by slumps are located both at deep and shallow depths,responding to the temperature or pressure *** the first time,BSRs are observed in the abyssal plain of the Makran area,being associated with anticline structures,which do not show large spatial continuity and are strongly conditioned by structural conditions such as anticlines and fluid migration pathways,including deep fault,gas chimney,and high-permeable sedimentary *** results may help to assess the gas hydrate potential within the piggy-back basins and to determine the most promising target ***,results about the abyssal plain BSR may help to locate hydrocarbon reservoirs in the deep ocean.

A new concept and classification of corona mortis and its clinical significance

Purpose: The obturator artery and its accessory (aberrant) arising from different origins and crossing the pubic rami are vascular variations. The internal iliac artery usually provides the obturator artery which may communicates with the external iliac artery through either the accessory obturator or inferior epigastric artery. A collateral circulation between the external and internal iliac system is known as corona mortis. The aim of current study is to provide sufficient data of vascular variability crossing the pubic rami for clinical field. Methods: Present study includes 208 hemipelvises dissected in the Institution of Anatomy, Medical University of Graz. During dissection, the obturator artery and its accessory crossing the superior rami of pubic bone were found to have different origins. Results: The obturator artery arising from the external iliac artery and from the femoral artery accounts for 9.8% and 1.1% respectively. Therefore, it passes over the superior pubic rami in 10.9%. Further, the accessory (aberrant) artery arises only from the femoral artery in 1.1%. In present study, the vascular variation crossing the superior pubic rami with or without collateral circulation between external and internal iliac system referred as corona mortis is addressed. This study includes new classification of obturator and accessory obturator arteries as well as the corona mortis. It includes a comparison of corona mortis incidence in Austria population and other populations. The corona mortis found to be in 12% of Austrian population. Conclusion: A great attention of clinicians, radiologists, surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, obstetricians and gynecologists has to be considered before pubic surgical procedures such as internal fixation of pubic fracture, an inguinal hernia repair.
