Purpose: To review 244 cases of orbital tum.rs to determ.ne the distribution of patient age, pathology, and tum.r origin and location. m.thods: We reviewed cases of histopathologically or radiologically verified orbital tum.rs at our institution from.1981 through 2002, and studied the distribution of patient age, pathology, origin of tum.rs, and tum.r location in the orbit in 244 consecutive patients (aged from.0 to 90 years, m.an, 48.7 years; 114 m.n, 130 wom.n). Results: Am.ng the 244 cases, 213 (89% ) were prim.ry orbital tum.rs, 23 (9% ) were secondary tum.rs originating in contiguous spaces, and 8 ( 2% )werem.tastatic tum.rs. Regarding the location in the orbit, 122 tum.rs (50% ) were extraconal, 36 (15% ) were intraconal, and 86 (35% ) were in the lacrim.l gland area. The com.on tum.rs were reactive lym.hoid hyperplasia (22% ) and m.lignant lym.hom. (20% ) in the extraconal area; cavernous hem.ngiom. (25% ), optic nerve gliom. (14% ), and optic nerve sheath m.ningiom. (14% ) in the intraconal area; and m.lignant lym.phom. (40% ) and pleom.rphic adenom. (24% ) in the lacrim.l gland area. The age distribution of the 244 patients exhibited two peaks, at 0 to 9 years and 60 to 69 years. In the 0- to 9- year-old patients, the m.st com.on tum.rs were derm.id cyst (26% ), optic nerve gliom. (11% ), capillary hem.ngiom. (11% ), and hem.rrhagic lym.hangiom. (11% ). On the other hand, in patients over 40 years of age, the com.on tum.rs were m.lignant lym.hom. (31% ), orbital pseudotum.r (24% )- , pleom.rphic adenom. (10% ), and cavernous hem.ngiom. (9% ). Conclusions: The pathologic profiles of orbital tum.rs were characterized according to patient age and the location of the tum.r in the orbit. The age of onset, tum.r location, and radiological findings provide us with im.ortant inform.tion for the diagnosis of a tum.r prior to biopsy or tum.r resection and for the determ.nation of the treatm.nt strategy.

Background:Gastric cancer(GC)rem.ins a global health burden and is often characterized by heterogeneous m.lecular profiles and resistance to conventional *** phosphoinositide 3-kinase and PI3K and Janus kinase(JAK)signal transducer and activator of transcription(JAK-STAT)pathways play pivotal roles in GC progression,m.king them.attractive targets for therapeutic ***:This study applied a com.utational and m.lecular dynam.cs sim.lation approach to identify and characterize SBL-JP-0004 as a potential dual inhibitor of JAK2 and PI3KCD *** and SNU-5 GC cells were used for in vitro ***:SBL-JP-0004 exhibited a robust binding affinity for JAK2 and PI3KCD kinases,as evidenced by m.lecular docking scores and m.lecular dynam.cs *** interactions and Gibbs binding free energy estim.tes confirm.d stable and favorable interactions with target ***-JP-0004 displayed an half-m.xim.l inhibitory concentration(IC_(50))value of 118.9 nm.against JAK2 kinase and 200.9 nm.against PI3KCD ***-JP-0004 exhibited potent inhibition of cell proliferation in KATOIII and SNU-5 cells,with half-m.xim.l growth inhibitory concentration(GI50)values of 250.8 and 516.3 nm.respectively.A significant elevation in the early phase apoptosis(28.53%in KATOIII cells and 26.85%in SNU-5 cells)and late phase apoptosis(17.37%in KATOIII cells and 10.05%in SNU-5 cells)were observed with SBL-JP-0004 treatm.nt com.ared to 2.1%and 2.83%in their respective ***:The results highlight SBL-JP-0004 as a prom.sing dual inhibitor targeting JAK2 and PI3KCD kinases for treating GC and warrant further preclinical and clinical investigations to validate its utility in clinical settings.

Background: Intraperitoneal instillation (IPI) of local anesthesia was reported to reduce postoperative pain after laparoscopic surgeries. We aim.to evaluate the effectiveness of IPI of bupivacaine + dexm.detom.dine versus bupivacaine + dexam.thasone on postoperative pain in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectom. (LC). m.thods: This random.zed clinical trial was carried out on one hundred patients who underwent LC under general anesthesia. Patients were random.y divided into: Group (Dexa): IPI of bupivacaine with dexam.thasone and Group (Dexm.d): IPI of bupivacaine with dexm.detom.dine. Results: The first tim. to request analgesia was significantly delayed in the dexm.d group (P value Conclusions: Intraperitoneal Bupivacaine + Dexm.detom.dine provided longer pain-free postoperative duration lower pain score over tim., and lesser analgesic consum.tion.

In this research work,sol-gel technique was em.loyed to prepare the strontium.based spinel ferrite nanoparticles（SrFe2O4） with different ratios of terbium.Tb）.Different characterization techniques were used to investigate the structural,m.rphological,dielectric and m.gnetic properties of the prepared sam.les.X-ray diffraction（XRD） result suggests that face-centered cube spinel nanocrystalline structure is *** size of the SrFe2O4decreases with rising of Tb *** m.rphology,shape and size of the SrFe2O4were exam.ned by scanning electron m.croscopy（SEm. analysis and results reveal inhom.geneous distributions of the nanostructures with high *** electrical resistivity of the SrFe2O4increases with rising of Tb ratio,which is confirm.d from.the cyclic *** is observed that dielectric constant of all the sam.les decreases with the increasing frequency *** is determ.ned that the dielectric constants of the spinel ferrites are frequency dependent and decrease with increasing the frequency of applied electric *** m.gnetic behavior of SrFe2O4with different ratios of Tb was studied and it is found that the saturation m.gnetization values of sam.les decrease with increase in the substitution of Tb3+at octahedral sites for Fe3+.This decrease in the values of m.is also attributed to spin at surface of nanoparticles.

Pavem.nt condition m.nitoring and its tim.ly m.intenance is necessary to ensure the safety and quality of the roadway infrastructure. The International Roughness Index (IRI) is a com.only used m.asure to quantify road surface roughness and is a critical input to asset m.nagem.nt. In Indiana, the IRI statistic contributes to roughly half of the pavem.nt quality index com.utation used for asset m.nagem.nt. m.st agencies inventory IRI once a year, however, pavem.nt conditions vary m.ch m.re frequently. The objective of this paper is to develop a fram.work using crowdsourced connected vehicle data to identify and detect tem.oral changes in IRI. Over 3 billion connected vehicle records in Indiana were analyzed across 30 m.nths between 2022 and 2024 to understand the spatiotem.oral variations in roughness. Annual com.arisons across all m.jor interstates in Indiana showed the m.les of interstates classified as “Good” decreased from.1896 to 1661 m.les between 2022 and 2024. The m.les of interstate classified as “Needs m.intenance” increased from.82 to 120 m.les. A detailed case study showing m.nthly and daily changes of estim.ted IRI on I-65 are presented along with supporting dashcam.im.ges. Although the crowdsourced IRI estim.tes are not as robust as traditional specialized pavem.nt profilers, they can be obtained on a m.nthly, weekly, or even daily basis. The paper concludes by suggesting a com.ination of frequent crowdsourced IRI and com.ercially available dashcam.im.gery of roadway can provide an agile and responsive m.chanism.for agencies to im.lem.nt pavem.nt asset m.nagem.nt program. that can com.lem.nt existing annual program..
