Boron is ubiquitous in nature,very indispensable for animal if proffer in specific *** are exposed to boron by water and different *** sources of boron exposure could be either through geological or via ground *** has been associated with persuading a variety of benefits in body organ systems:immune,bone,liver,CNS and *** this review,we outline the effects of boron on the animal *** growth performance and immune organ like thymus depict better immunity with boron *** metabolism also reveals good *** case of bone there is better Condition of animals fed boron diet,CNS also well *** a boron intake of approximately 1.0mg/d by consuming foods high in boron,like vegetables,nuts,pulses and fruits,,is a healthy dietary referral to improve *** boron is very helpful but the amount of boron should be up to certain limit because high level of boron might be show some toxic effects.

Boron is an essential trace element which plays an important role in process of metabolism of many biological compounds and the function of the *** aim of this study was to investigate the effects of boron on the intestinal cell proliferation and apoptosis in African Ostrich chicks.A total of 36,ten day-old ostrich chicks were divided into six groups and fed on the same basal diet supplemented with 40,80,160,320 and 640 mg/L boric acid in drinking water for 80 *** cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) was used to test the proliferation index of intestine in different group by immunohistochemical staining(IHC).Apoptotic cells of intestine were detected by means of TUNEL and evaluated by mean optical *** showed that proliferation of intestinal cells significantly increased in high dose of boron groups(160,320 and640 mg/L).TUNEL reaction showed that apoptosis significantly decreased in 40 and 80 mg/L groups,while significantly increased in high dose of boron groups(320 and 640 mg/L),especially in *** conclusion,low dose of boron-supplemented water could promote growth of intestinal villus by depressing apoptosis,while high dose of boron could cause intestinal apoptosis and thus we found increased proliferation of intestine cell as a compensatory *** findings may support optimal dosage of boron that could protect the development of Ostrich intestine,while high dosage of boron could suppress it,or even has toxic effects on it.

The Nrf2 pathway is a most important way in antioxidant capacity,regulating the cell’s redox homeostasis control *** addition,Nrf2 pathway also can inhibit cell *** present study,the actions of boron on ostrich chickens kidney,especially in antioxidant capacity,were *** eight ostrich chickens were randomly divided into six equal groups supplemented the boron in the water,which was in the form of boric acid,at the concentration of 0,40,80,160,320 and 640 mg/L,*** relative oxidative/antioxidant enzymes(T-AOC,MDA,GSH-Px) and cell apoptosis in ostrich chicks kidney tissue were *** expression of three important genes in this pathway(Nrf2,HO-1 and GCLC) were measured by quantitative real-time PCR,and the localization of key regulator Nrf2 was also analyzed by *** results were as following:compared with control group,(1)MDA content was decreased in the 40,80 mg/L groups and significantly decreased(P <0.05) in the320,640 mg/L boron groups;whereas,the activity of T-AOC,GSH-Px reached the apex in 80 mg/L group(P<0.05);(2)cell apoptosis were in a biphasic manner by altering the boron levels:apoptosis cells number were significantly reduced in the 40 and 80 mg/L boron groups;however,apoptosis cells number were significantly increased in 320 and 640 mg/L boron groups with the apoptosis cells mainly distributed in renal proximal tubules;(3) the Nrf2 positive cells were mainly distributed in renal tubular cells and rarely in renal ***,The addition of boron,especially at 40,80 mg/L concentration,could bring a significantly increased in the expression of Nrf2,HO-1,and *** together,the study demonstrated that low levels of boron(40,80mg/L,especially 80 mg/L) inhibited the cell apoptosis and improved antioxidant system,thus may improve ostrich chicks kidney tissue development;however,high levels of boron(320,640mg/L,especially 640 mg/L) would promote cell apoptosis and reduced the antio
