Nowadays,widespread researches have been focused on the development of effective photocatalysts to remove pollutants of the aquatic *** accordance with the universal studies,two new sets of UiO-66@metal oxide(including ZnO and TiO2)/graphene oxide heterojunctions were synthesized for photodegradation of aromatic(tetracycline)and nonaromatic(malathion)pollutants which are challenging cases in the *** dosage of the photocatalyst,pH of the solution,the type of metal oxide,and the presence of various scavengers are assayed parameters in this *** the optimum condition,maximum photodegradation efficiency is achieved in 90 min for tetracycline(81%)and malathion(100%)by the UiO-66@ZnO/graphene *** superior separation of charge carriers by Z-scheme mechanism,excellent electron mobility on layers of graphene oxide and high surface area are factors that enhanced the ***,in comparison with pure UiO-66,the band gaps belong to heterojunctions revealed a red shift in the absorption edge,which can be responsible for more expand adsorption of the solar *** organic carbon analysis verified the decontamination of these pollutants in the *** produced main intermediates during the photocatalytic process were identified and the possible degradation pathway *** general,the superior photocatalytic activity suggests that these designed photocatalysts can be a promising choice for having a clean future.

We report a 43-year-old man who presented with a right painful shoulder mass and bilateral lung masses in computed tomography(CT).Scapular mass was excised and pathology report demonstrated high-grade metastatic *** side lung biopsy and histopathological study characterized tuberculosis but biopsy of the left lung lesion identified adenocarcinoma of the *** final diagnosis was right scapular metastatic lesion from left lung *** symptoms are commonly encountered in lung malignancies due to paraneoplastic syndrome or hematogenous metastasis but scapular metastasis on the other side as the presentation of lung cancer is extremely rare.

Digital Soil Mapping Using Artificial Neural Networks and Terrain-Related Attributes

Detailed soil surveys involve costly and time-consuming work and require expert knowledge. Since soil surveys provide information to meet a wide range of needs, new methods are necessary to map soils quickly and accurately. In this study, multilayer perceptron artificial neural networks(ANNs) were developed to map soil units using digital elevation model(DEM) attributes. Several optimal ANNs were produced based on a number of input data and hidden units. The approach used test and validation areas to calculate the accuracy of interpolated and extrapolated data. The results showed that the system and level of soil classification employed had a direct effect on the accuracy of the results. At the lowest level, smaller errors were observed with the World Reference Base(WRB)classification criteria than the Soil Taxonomy(ST) system, but more soil classes could be predicted when using ST(7 soils in the case of ST vs. 5 with WRB). Training errors were below 11% for all the ANN models applied, while the test error(interpolation error) and validation error(extrapolation error) were as high as 50% and 70%, respectively. As expected, soil prediction using a higher level of classification presented a better overall level of accuracy. To obtain better predictions, in addition to DEM attributes, data related to landforms and/or lithology as soil-forming factors, should be used as ANN input data.

Cancer is one of the main challenges of the health system around the *** disease is increasing in developing countries and imposes heavy costs on patients and *** the other hand,despite various drugs,the death rate among cancer patients is still high and the current treatments have many harmful *** the traditional medicine of different countries,there are many medicinal plants that can be effective in the treatment of *** plants are traditionally used as spices and food or for medicinal *** assa-foetida is one of the famous plants of this genus,which has been used for the treatment of various diseases since ancient *** the main compounds of this plant,we can mention monoterpenes,sulfide compounds and polyphenols,which can show different therapeutic *** article has been compiled with the aim of collecting evidence and articles related to the anti-cancer effects of extracts,derived compounds,essential oils and nanoparticles containing Ferula *** review article was prepared by searching the terms Ferula assa-foetida and cancer,and relevant information was collected through searching electronic databases such as ISI Web of Knowledge,PubMed,and Google ***,the results of this review showed that relatively comprehensive studies have been conducted in this field and shown that Ferula assa-foetida can be very promising in the treatment of cancer.
