A new comprehensive set of data（n = 178） is compiled by adding a data set（n = 72） collected by Arioglu et al.（2007） to the data set（n = 106） presented in Rezazadeh and Eslami（2017）. Then, the compiled data set is evaluated regardless of the variation in lithology/strength. The proposed empirical equation in this study comprises a wider range of uniaxial compressive strength（UCS）（0.15 MPa 〈 σ_（rc）〈156 MPa） and various rock types. Rock mass cuttability index（RMCI） is correlated with shaft resistance（r_s） to predict the shaft resistance of rock-socketed piles. The prediction capacity of the RMCI versus r_s equation is also found to be in a fair good agreement with the presented data in Rezazadeh and Eslami（2017）. Since the RMCI is a promising parameter in the prediction of shaft resistance, the researchers in the rock-socketed pile design area should consider this parameter in the further investigations.

BACKGROUND The most important factors affecting attitudes on organ donation are socioeconomic, educational, cultural, and religious factors in many *** To evaluate the attitudes, awareness, and knowledge levels of the Turkish adult population toward organ *** This nationwide study surveyed 3000 adults(≥ 18 years) in Turkey. To ensure a representative sample, the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics-Ⅱ(modified for Turkey) was used. Turkey was divided into 26 regions based on social, economic, and geographic criteria as identified by the Turkish Statistical Institute. A stratified sampling method was used with an even distribution of adults across cities and towns based on population data. Data were collected by the PRP Research and Consultancy Company using computer-assisted personal *** Out of 3000 individuals represented in the study population, 1465(48.8%) were male and 1535(51.2%) female. The results showed that most participants were under 45 years(59.0%) and married(72.1%), some had a bachelor’s degree or higher(21.9%), and very few(1.5%) had any direct experience with organ transplantation-whether in the family, or a family member on a transplantation waiting list. Most of the study population(88.3%) had not considered donating an organ, however, most(87.9%) said that they would accept an organ from a donor if they needed one. Among the individuals surveyed, 67% were willing to donate an organ to a close relative, while 26.8% would donate an organ to an unrelated person. Only 47.2% said they had adequate information about brain death, and 85.2% refused to consent to donating organs of family members declared brain dead. Only 33.9% thought they had adequate information about organ donation. The main source of information was the television. Background Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is associated with metabolic abnormalities linked to critical elements of *** recently administered combined metabolic activators(CMA)to the AD rat model and observed that CMA improves the AD-associated histological parameters in the *** promotes mitochondrial fatty acid uptake from the cytosol,facilitates fatty acid oxidation in the mitochondria,and alleviates oxidative *** Here,we designed a randomised,double-blinded,placebo-controlled phase-II clinical trial and studied the effect of CMA administration on the global metabolism of AD ***-dose CMA included 12.35 g L-serine(61.75%),1 g nicotinamide riboside(5%),2.55 g N-acetyl-L-cysteine(12.75%),and 3.73 g L-carnitine tartrate(18.65%).AD patients received one dose of CMA or placebo daily during the first 28 days and twice daily between day 28 and day *** primary endpoint was the difference in the cognitive function and daily living activity scores between the placebo and the treatment *** secondary aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and tolerability of CMA.A comprehensive plasma metabolome and proteome analysis was also performed to evaluate the efficacy of the CMA in AD *** We showed a significant decrease of AD Assessment Scale-cognitive subscale(ADAS-Cog)score on day 84 vs day 0(P=0.00001,29%improvement)in the CMA ***,there was a significant decline(P=0.0073)in ADAS-Cog scores(improvement of cognitive functions)in the CMA compared to the placebo group in patients with higher ADAS-Cog *** cognitive functions in AD patients were supported by the relevant alterations in the hippocampal volumes and cortical thickness based on imaging ***,the plasma levels of proteins and metabolites associated with NAD+and glutathione metabolism were significantly improved after CMA *** Our results indicate that treatment of AD patients with CMA can lead to enhanced cognit
