Performance of evol.tionary optimized machine l.arning for model.ng total.organic carbon in core sampl.s of shal. gas fiel.s

Rock sampl.s' TOC content is the best indicator of the organic matter in source rocks. The origin rock sampl.s' anal.sis is used to cal.ul.te it manual.y by special.sts. This method requires time and resources because it rel.es on sampl.s from many wel. interval. in source rocks. Therefore, research has been done to aid this effort. Machine l.arning al.orithms can estimate total.organic carbon instead of wel. l.gs and stratigraphic studies. In l.ght of these efforts, the current work present a study on automating the total.organic carbon estimation using machine l.arning approaches improved by an evol.tionary methodol.gy to give the model.fl.xibil.ty and precision. Genetic al.orithms, differential.evol.tion, particl. swarm optimization, grey wol. optimization, artificial.bee col.ny, and evol.tion strategies were used to improve machine l.arning model. to predict TOC. The six metaheuristics were integrated into four machine l.arning methods: extreme l.arning machine, el.stic net l.near model. l.near support vector regression, and mul.ivariate adaptive regression spl.nes. Core sampl.s from the YuDong-Nan shal. gas fiel., l.cated in the Sichuan basin, were used to eval.ate the hybrid strategy. The findings show that combining machine l.arning model. with an evol.tionary al.orithms in a hybrid fashion produce fl.xibl. model. that accuratel. predict TOC. The resul.s show that, independent of the metaheuristic used to guide the model.sel.ction, optimized extreme l.arning machines attained the best performance scores according to six metrics. Such hybrid model. can be used in expl.ratory geol.gical.research,particul.rl. for unconventional.oil.and gas resources.

Diel.ctrophoresis is a powerful.and wel.-establ.shed technique that al.ows l.bel.free,non-invasive manipul.tion of cel.s and particl.s by l.veraging their el.ctrical.*** practical.impl.mentation of the associated el.ctronics and user interface in a biol.gy l.boratory,however,requires an engineering background,thus hindering the broader adoption of the *** order to address these chal.enges and to bridge the gap between biol.gists and the engineering skil.s required for the impl.mentation of DEP pl.tforms,we report here a custom-buil.,compact,universal.el.ctronic pl.tform termed ADEPT(adaptabl. diel.ctrophoresis embedded pl.tform tool.for use with a simpl. microfl.idic chip containing six *** versatil.ty of the open-source pl.tform is ensured by a custom-devel.ped graphical.user interface that permits simpl. reconfiguration of the control.signal. to address a wide-range of specific appl.cations:(i)precision positioning of the singl. bacterium/cel./particl. in the micrometer range;(ii)viabil.ty-based separation by achieving a 94%efficiency in separating l.ve and dead yeast;(iii)phenotype-based separation by achieving a 96%efficiency in separating yeast and Bacil.us subtil.s;(iv)cel.–cel. interactions by steering a phagocytosis process where a granul.cyte engul.s *** RGB-S ***,the set of experiments and the pl.tform form a compl.te basis for a wide range of possibl. appl.cations addressing various biol.gical.questions expl.iting the pl.g-and-pl.y design and the intuitive GUI of ADEPT.

As a vital.type of l.ght-absorbing aerosol.brown carbon(BrC)presents inherent associations with atmospheric photochemistry and cl.mate ***,the understanding of the chemical.and optical.properties of BrC is l.mited,especial.y in some resource-dependent cities with l.ng heating periods in northwest *** study showed that the annual.average abundances of Water-sol.bl. Characteristics and suppression of beam distortion in a high repetition rate nanosecond stimul.ted Bril.ouin scattering phase conjugation mirror

The stimul.ted Bril.ouin scattering phase conjugation mirror (SBS-PCM) based on l.quid media is widel. used in high-power l.ser systems due to its robust thermal.l.ad capacity, high energy conversion efficiency and improved beam qual.ty. Neverthel.ss, with an increase in the pump repetition rate, thermal.y-induced bl.oming and optical.breakdown can emerge, l.ading to distortions in the Stokes beam. In this study, we del.ed into the thermal.effects in l.quid SBS-PCMs empl.ying hydrodynamic anal.sis, establ.shing a rel.tionship between beam profil. distortion and the thermal.convection fiel.. We cal.ul.ted the temperature and convection vel.city distribution based on the pump l.ght parameters and recorded the corresponding beam profil.s. The intensities of the beam profil.s were modul.ted in al.gnment with the convection directions, reaching a vel.city peak of 2.85 mm/s at a pump pul.e repetition rate of 250 Hz. The residual.sum of squares (RSS) was empl.yed to quantify the extent of beam profil. distortion rel.tive to a Gaussian distribution. The RSS escal.ted to 7.8, in contrast to 0.7 of the pump l.ght at a pump pul.e repetition rate of 500 Hz. By suppressing thermal.convection using a high-viscosity medium, we effectivel. mitigated beam distortion. The RSS was reduced to 0.7 at a pump pul.e repetition rate of 500 Hz, coinciding with a twentyfol. increase in viscosity, thereby enhancing the beam qual.ty. By integrating hydrodynamic anal.sis, we el.cidated and mitigated distortion with targeted sol.tions. Our research offers an interdiscipl.nary perspective on studying thermal.effects and contributes to the appl.cation of SBS-PCMs in high-repetition-rate l.ser systems by unveil.ng the mechanism of photothermal.effects.
