[目的]评价在饮食控制的情况下红曲（RYRCholestin）对美国高血脂人群的降脂作用和安全性。[方法]开放标记，自身对照，多中心临床试验。187名美国高血脂人群入选（血清低密度脂蛋白胆固醇3．50—4．92mmol／L，总胆固醇5．18—7．25mmol／L；男116人，女71人），162入完成试验。在整个试验中受试者遵照美国国家胆固醇教育计划的饮食要求。试验的前4周仅控制饮食，第5周至第12周连续服用8周RYRCholestin（每日2．4g）。[结果]经前4周饮食控制，血清脂质各指标无显著变化。口服RYRCholestin8周后，血清总胆固醇、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇和三酰甘油分别降低16．6％，24．O％和25．2％，高密度脂蛋白胆固醇升高14．3％（P〈0．001）。显效率为79．0％，有效率为97．5％。停服14d（2周）后，血脂各指标回到试验前水平。试验中共发现可能与服用产品相关的、轻度的29项不良反应。[结论]RYRCholestin的耐受性良好，它可降低血清总胆固醇、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇和三酰甘油，升高血清高密度脂蛋白胆固醇。停服2用后受试者的血脂各项指标均恢复到试验前水平。

Aim: To evaluate the clinical impact, aqueous tear parameters, and meibomian gland morphology in patients with primary meibomianitis before, during, and 3 months after a course of oral minocycline. Methods: 16 patients were prospectively enrolled, 11 male and five female (mean age 69 years old). Each patient received routine clinical evaluations before, after 3 months therapy, and at 6 month study follow up visit. The clinical appearance, tear volume, flow and turnover, evaporation, Schirmer I test, meibomian gland dropout, lissamine green staining, and bacteriology were valuated. Results: Improvement was observed in clinical signs of meibomianitis at the second and third visits. Microbial culture findings improved. decreased aqueous tear volume and flow, and increased evaporation rate range at 35-45%relative humidity (RH) (pdetected. Other related tear parameters did not change. Meibomian gland dropout showed no improvement. Conclusions: 3 months of oral minocycline resulted in clinical improvements in all meibomianitis signs that persisted for at least 3 months after discontinuation despite decreased aqueous tear volume and flow with increased evaporation (35-45%RH). However, there was improvement in the turbidity of secretions. Short term minocycline therapy probably has efficacy in the management of meibomianitis that extends beyond eradication of bacteria.

Objective: To assess whether women reporting domestic violence are at increased risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes. Methods: A screening questionnaire, previously validated for the identification of female victims of domestic violence, was offered to women presenting to our Labor and delivery Unit. The survey prompted women to indicate whether her partner or family member physically hurt her, insulted or talked down to her, threatened her with harm, or screamed or cursed at her. The primary study outcome was to detect a 3- fold increase in low birth weight infants ( ≤ 2, 500 g) in women reporting physical abuse, com pa- red with those not reporting domestic violence. Results: A total of 16,041 women were approached to be interviewed. Of these, 949 (6% ) women responded affirmatively to one or more of the survey questions, and another 94 (0.6% )- declined to be interviewed. The incidence of low birth weight infants was significantly increased in women who reported verbal abuse, compared with the no- abuse group (7.6% versus 5.1% , respectively, P = .002). Physical abuse was associated with an increased risk of neonatal death (1.5% versus 0.2% , P = .004). Interestingly, women who declined to be interviewed had significantly increased rates of low birth weight infants(12.8% versus 5.1% , P d neonatal intensive care admissions (7.4% versus 2.2% , P = .008) when compared with women in the no- abuse group, respectively. Conclusion: Women who declined to be surveyed regarding domestic violence were at increased risk for adverse pregnancy outcome.

A systematic literature review of over 500 documents on marine release programs published since 2000 was done to evaluate the current state of aquaculture based enhancement(ABE = restocking,stock enhancement and sea ranching) for commercial and recreational(= leisure) fisheries in North America,Europe,Oceania and southern *** have been made with reviews and government information on ABE in China and Japan,where large-scale continuous(> 300 billion released individuals from 2004 to 2015) have been practised for over three *** broad categories of release programs were identified:(1) Enhancement to increase commercial yield and value;(2) Restocking to increase the spawning population of a commercial or recreational fishery;(3) restocking species for conservation;(4) Sea ranching – creating or maintaining a fishery by releasing individuals and harvesting them before they mature;and(5) releasing individuals to increase knowledge of the species and ABE system *** ***,crustaceans,molluscs and echinoderms were the focus of most publications in North America,Europe,Oceania and south *** on teleosts and crustaceans was most numerous in all regions(> 60%),except south Asia(～ 24%),where molluscs(41%),echinoderms(35%) and crustaceans(20.6%) were the dominant taxa in *** has implemented a large government initiative to promote research,investment and best practices in freshwater and marine releases,with a focus in marine waters largely on invertebrates,particularly penaeid prawns(～80% of releases in 2015).In other regions considered in the review,releases have been of a much smaller scale(millions of released individuals each year) and the focus of releases has been largely on species of recreational significance such as penaeid prawns(Penaeus plebejus,Metapenaeus dalli),and Mulloway(Agryrosomus japonicas) in Australia and Red drum(Sciaenops ocellatus) and Snook(Centropomus undecimalis) in the United States.

Monotherapy of RNAi, however, may lead to therapeutic resistance by mutational escape of the virus. Here, we proposed that combining lentiviral vector-mediated RNAi and IFN-α could be more effective and avoid therapeutic resistance. In this study, we found that IFN-α treatment did not interfere with RNAi-mediated gene silencing. RNAi and IFN-α act independently on HCV replication showing combined antiviral activity when used simultaneously or sequentially. Transduction ofmouse hepatocytes in vivo and in vitro was not effected by IFN-α treatment. In conclusion, RNAi and IFN-α can be effectively combined without crossinterference and may represent a promising combinational strategy for the treatment of hepatitis c.

Objectives: Impaired longitudinal growth and poor weight gain are common and important problems in children with cystic fibrosis. This study evaluates the hy pothesis that adjunctive growth hormone (GH) therapy augments the growth respons e to nutritional supplementation. Study design: We recruited 18 prepubertal chil dren who received enteral nutritional supplementation for at least 2 years befor e enrollment. Nine were randomly assigned to receive no GH for 1 year, followed by 1 year of GH. Nine were randomly assigned to receive 1 year of GH followed by a second year of GH. Measurements included height, weight, pulmonary function, lean tissue mass, bone mineral content, hospitalizations, outpatient antibiotic use, and caloric intake. Results: Growth hormone resulted in significant improve ment in height, weight, bone mineral content, lean tissue mass, and number of ho spitalizations. Pulmonary function was similar at baseline. Absolute forced vita l capacity and forced expiratory volume in 1 minute significantly increased in G H treatment, but there was no significant change in percent predicted pulmonary function. Caloric intake was similar in both groups during both years. Conclusio ns: These results suggest that GH is a useful for enhancing growth in children w ith cystic fibrosis receiving enteral nutritional supplementation.

CSP (concentrating solar power) is a commercially available renewable energy technology capable of harnessing the immense solar resource in southern Europe, the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa), and elsewhere. This paper summarises the findings of a study by the European Academies Science Advisory Council which has examined the current status and development challenges of CSP, and consequently has evaluated the potential contribution of CSP in Europe and the MENA region to 2050. It identifies the actions that will be required by scientists, engineers, policy makers, politicians, business and investors alike, to enable this vast solar resource to make a major contribution to establishing a sustainable energy system. The study concludes that cost reductions of 50％-60％ in CSP electricity may reasonably be expected in the next 10-15 years, enabling the technology to be cost competitive with fossil-fired power generation at some point between 2020 and 2030. Incorporation of storage delivers added value in enabling CSP to deliver dispatchable power. Incentive schemes will be needed in Europe and MENA countries to enable this point to be achieved. Such schemes should reflect the true value of electricity to the grid, effectively drive research and development, and ensure transparency of performance and cost data.
