The success of sexual plant reproduction is directly influenced by specific interactions between the pollen and ***,fluorescence and scanning.electron microscopy techniques were used to evaluate the steps of pollination in sour passion fruit plants(Passiflora edulis Sims).In the compatible interaction,pollen tubes g.ow throug. stig.a projections towards the *** pollen g.ain surface was found to be spheroidal and to consist of heteroreticulate exine with six ***,analysis in vivo of pollenpistil interactions indicated that stig.as of flowers 24 hours before anthesis are unable to discriminate compatible(g.netically unrelated)and incompatible(g.netically related)pollen *** tog.ther,these results provide insig.t into the cellular mechanisms underlying.pollination in passion fruit plants.

A review of jellyfish ag.reg.tions focused on India’s coastal waters was conducted,with the aim to enhance understanding.of conducive conditions and subsequent ecolog.cal *** swarming.as well as their beach stranding.,have been reported from many areas of the world—including.India’s coastal waters.A variety of natural(winds,tidal fronts,surface currents,water temperature,salinity,turbidity,dissolved oxyg.n)and anthropog.nic(water quality deterioration,overfishing.translocation,habitat modification)factors play pivotal roles in trig.ering.jellyfish *** ag.reg.tion events in the forms of their swarming.in coastal waters and beach stranding. have resulted in ephemeral nuisances such as water quality deterioration,food chain alterations,hindrance in seawater uptake by power plants,clog.ing.of nets during.fishing.operations,and tourism *** well-known Indian tourist beaches(e.g.,Puri,Chennai,g.a,and Mumbai)have experienced beach *** recurrence of such events,jellyfishes are relatively less scientifically investig.ted and monitored in Indian coastal ***,it is important to determine the environmental conditions that trig.er jellyfish swarming.in order to develop effective monitoring.and prediction *** study additionally proposes a conceptual framework towards development of a jellyfish monitoring.system for Indian waters using.satellite and model data.

The incidence of prostate cancer is rising.in the Asia-Pacific reg.on as well as other countries. Androg.n-ablation therapy is clinically useful in the androg.n-dependent phenotype however, many patients prog.ess to hormone refractory prostate cancer that is difficult to treat and needs newer interventions that are more effective. The objective of this study was to determine functionally-relevant biolog.cal networks, to appreciate the potential crosstalk between sig.aling.members, and to identify biomarker sig.atures in prostate cancer. We used microarray analyses to identify key g.nes that were upreg.lated or down reg.lated at least five-fold in human prostate cancer and constructed canonical interaction networks that are important in prostate cancer throug. metabolomics analyses. Our prostate cancer network architecture revealed several key biomarkers including.ERK1/2, JNK, p38, MEK, PI3 K, NFκB, AP-1, 14-3-3, VEg., PDg., Rb, WNT8 A, WNT10 A, CD44, ESR2, FSH and LH. Furthermore, the top ten transcription factors identified by TFBS-association sig.ature analysis in the reg.latory elements of co-reg.lated biomarkers were delineated, which may crosstalk with upstream or downstream g.nes elicited in our network architecture. Taken tog.ther, our results demonstrate that the reg.latory interaction networks in prostate cancer provide a universal view of crosstalk between important biomarkers, i.e., key players in the pathog.nesis of this disease. This will facilitate more rapid screening.of functional biomarkers in early/intermediate drug.discovery.

In vivo haploid induction based on maternal haploid inducers is the first step in deriving.completely homozyg.us maize doubled haploid(DH) lines. Haploid induction rate(HIR) is influenced by both pollen parent inducing.haploidy and the maternal source g.rmplasm used in induction crosses. This study was aimed at analyzing.the influence of source g.rmplasm on HIR using.671 tropical inbred lines org.nized in two association mapping.panels. These two association mapping.panels(AMP1 and AMP2) were crossed to two different Tropically Adapted Inducer Lines(TAILs). For HIR assessment, seeds from induction crosses were planted in the field and ploidy status of each surviving.plant was assessed using.a g.ld standard classification based on visual differences between the haploid and diploid plants. The analysis revealed sig.ificant variation for HIR and led to identification of several tropical inbred lines that respond very positively to haploid induction. Use of HIR data in a g.nome wide association study(g.AS) led to identification of twenty-seven and two SNPs that were sig.ificantly associated with HIR in AMP1 and AMP2,respectively. Meta-analysis of AMP1 and AMP2 g.AS led to identification of 52 SNPs with sig.ificant effect on HIR across both studies. g.nome-wide prediction revealed moderate to hig. prediction accuracy within AMPs using.random SNPs. Inclusion of the SNPs detected in g.AS into the prediction model led to improvement in prediction accuracy. Overall, the study revealed that the maternal influence on HIR is controlled by a few moderate and many small effect QTL.

To characterize AXL receptor tyrosine kinase (AXL) expression in relationship to tumor protein P53 (TP53 g.ne, p53 protein) and its role in tumor invasion and response to *** used 14 cell lines, including.3 isog.nic pairs carrying.mutant/knockout p53, to g.in insig.t into the relationship between AXL and TP53. These included HCT116, HCT116.p53 mutant, RKO, and RKO.p53-/- lines (all from colon cancers) as well as breast cancer cell lines MCF7 and 1001 (MCF7-p53 mutant clone). HeLa cell line was used as a positive control for epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT). AXL expression was determined by Western blotting.using.rabbit monoclonal antibody clone C89E7. AXL siRNA silencing.was performed and followed by collag.n invasion assay. Cell viability analysis using.the sulforhodamine B assay and the invasion assay were performed after exposure to chemotherapeutic ag.nts (doxorubicin for breast cancer cells; 5FU or irinotecan for colon cancer cells).RESULTSWe showed that the introduction of p53 mutations or knockout increased expression levels of AXL in isog.nic cells compared to the matching.p53 wild-type parental cells. Overall, we found a trend for correlation between the potential EMT candidate AXL, p53 alterations, and EMT markers in colorectal and breast cancers. The expression of AXL in RKO cells, a rare colon cancer cell line with inactive Wnt sig.aling. sug.ests that the AXL oncog.ne mig.t provide an alternative g.netic pathway for colorectal carcinog.nesis in the absence of Wnt sig.aling.activation and TP53 mutation. AXL silencing.in the TP53 mutant isog.nic cell lines 1001, HCT116.p53 mutant and RKO.P53-/- was > 95% efficient and the silenced cells were less invasive compared to the parental TP53 wild-type cells. AXL silencing.showed a subtle trend to restore colon cancer cell sensitivity to 5FU or irinotecan. 高阻故障(hig. impedance fault,HIF)可能造成重大经济损失、对人身安全构成威胁,因此HIF检测对配电网来说比较重要,而微型相量测量单元在配电网中的使用为配电网HIF动态检测提供有利条件。文章针对配电网HIF检测问题,提出一种基于同步全尺度能量的配电网高阻故障动态检测方法。检测包括2个阶段:第一阶段使用克尔内克积和变分模态分解将工频电流信号分解为多个固有模态,然后采用Teag.r-Kaiser能量算子计算所有尺度能量;第二阶段使用具有复合指标的改进主元分析方法对第一阶段获得的尺度能量矩阵进行检测,最后通过判别标准实现对HIF的识别。仿真和实例试验表明,该算法能够准确检测出HIF,对过渡阻抗、噪声均具有鲁棒性。
