This article studies effects of heat generation/absorption and chemical reaction on the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)Casson fluid flow past over exponentially accelerated vertical plate embedded in porous medium.It is assumed that the bounding plate has ramped temperature with ramped surface concentration and isothermal temperature with ramped surface concentration.This phenomenon is modeled in the form of system of partial differential equations with initial and boundary conditions.The goveming dimensionless equations are solved using Laplace transfom technique and expressions for velocity,temperature and concentration profiles are obtained.Expressions for skin friction,Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also derived and represented in tabular form.Effect of pertinent parameters on velocity,temperature and concentration profiles are presented through graphically.

The present paper is concerned with the study of flow,heat and mass transfer characteristics in the unsteady natural convective magneto hydrodynamics Casson fluid flow past over an oscillating vertical plate.The governing partial differential equations are solved analytically using Laplace transform technique and numerically using Matlab software.Expressions of skin friction,Nusselt number and Sherwood number are obtained.The features of the fluid flow,heat and mass transfer characteristics are analyzed by plotting graphs and the physical aspects are discussed in detail.

Malaria presents a significant global public health challenge,with severe malarial anaemia being a primary manifestation of the disease.The understanding of anaemia caused by malaria remains incomplete,making the treatment more complex.Iron is a crucial micronutrient essential for haemoglobin synthesis,oxygen delivery,and other vital metabolic functions in the body.It is indispensable for the growth of human beings,as well as bacteria,protozoa,and viruses in vitro and in vivo.Iron deficiency is among the most common nutritional deficiencies and can have detrimental effects during developmental stages of life.Malaria-induced iron deficiency occurs due to the hemolysis of erythrocytes and the suppression of erythropoiesis,leading to anaemia.Meeting iron requirements is particularly critical during pivotal life stages such as pregnancy,infancy,and childhood.Dietary intake alone may not suffice to meet adequate iron requirements,thus highlighting the vital role of iron supplementation.While iron supplementation can alleviate iron deficiency,it can exacerbate malaria infection by providing additional iron for the parasites.However,in the context of pregnancy and childhood,iron supplementation combined with malaria prevention and treatment has been shown to be beneficial in improving birth outcomes and ensuring proper growth and development,respectively.This review aims to identify the role and impact of iron supplementation in malaria infection during the life stages of pregnancy and childhood.

Transparent luminescent solar concentrator(LSC)is extensively regarded as the most promising sunlight tapping device for its application in buildings integrated with photovoltaics(BIPV)or as solar window glass.Conventional LSCs doped with organic dyes suffered from high reabsorption losses with no transparency;whereas,recently reported heavy metal-doped quantum dots avoided such losses but possessed the risk of high toxicity and low ambient stability.Thus,luminophores with massive spectral shifts and co rdial relationships with the enviro nment are very much desirable.In this paper,we report the fabrication of PMMA based transparent LSC embedded with nanocrystals of environmental friendiness and multispectral harvesting gadolinium oxysulphide(Gd_(2)O_(2) S:Er,Yb)fluorophore.The Gd_(2)O_(2) S:Er,Yb nanofluorophore absorbs various excitation wavelengths ranging from UV to NIr and emits in the visible region offering huge Stoke’s and anti-Stoke’s shift concurrently.The non-existent reabsorption losses and overlapping maxima of Gd_(2)O_(2) S:Er,Yb nanofluorophore generated photon flux with solar cells’responsivity enhance the efficiency characteristics of the LSC waveguide.Performance analysis of LSC as a function of varying nanofluorophore dispersion ratio and changing edge width optimizes the fabrication process and exhibits high power conversion efficiency of-6,93%and optical efficiency of-8.57%.The LSC slab demonstrates high photostability under irradiation for prolonged hours without any dip in the emission characteristics.The Gd_(2)O_(2) S:Er,Yb nanofluorophore diffused LSC waveguide offering spectral tunability,cost-reduction,efficiency enhancement,and high concentration factor whilst being sustainable for long term use makes it a fascinating transparent solar window.

Capillary leak syndrome(CLS)is a rare clinical syndrome associated with significant morbidity and mortality.Intensive care and supportive therapy constitute the mainstay of the treatment,along with judicious use of crystalloids and colloids such as dextran and starch during the leak phase.The advantages of proning,steroids,and intravenous immunoglobins are worth contemplating in patients with such a presentation.Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation appears to be an excellent strategy to surmount the impediments of the leak and post leak phase of CLS,especially in patients with severe or refractory hypoxemia.

Viscoelastic tests,specifically thromboelastography and rotational thromboelastometry,are increasingly being used in the management of postoperative bleeding in surgical intensive care units(ICUs).However,life-threatening bleeds may complicate the clinical course of many patients admitted to medical ICUs,especially those with underlying liver dysfunction.Patients with cirrhosis have multiple coagulation abnormalities that can lead to bleeding or thrombotic complications.Compared to conventional coagulation tests,a comprehensive depiction of the coagulation process and point-of-care availability are advantages favoring these devices,which may aid physicians in making a rapid diagnosis and instituting early interventions.These tests may help predict bleeding and rationalize the use of blood products in these patients.

The essay attempts to conceptualise the adverse repercussions of coronavirus in an unequal global order.The changing security regime has intensified the increased probabilities of potential non-conventional threats The coronavirus has uncovered the unpleasant realities of the socio-economic and political structure of theglobal north encountering financial crises and lack of health care resources.Contradictorily,the Pandemic has pushed the developing countries into the realm of extreme poverty,destroyed their minimum living conditions with the marginal provision of financial assistance.The contemporary unequal scenario exposed the unequal treatment for different social and economic classes questioning the neo-liberal policy discourse.Therefore,the central theme of the essay is to understand the multidimensional underpinnings of the health crises and global inequality upholding the relevance of cosmopolitan justice,adopting an analytical and deductive methodology of driving conclusions from general premises.

The current and future status of the internet is represented by the upcoming Internet of Things(IoT).The internet can connect the huge amount of data,which contains lot of processing operations and efforts to transfer the pieces of information.The emerging IoT technology in which the smart ecosystem is enabled by the physical object fixed with software electronics,sensors and network connectivity.Nowadays,there are two trending technologies that take the platform i.e.,Software Defined Network(SDN)and IoT(SD-IoT).The main aim of the IoT network is to connect and organize different objects with the internet,which is managed with the control panel and data panel in the SD network.The main issue and the challenging factors in this network are the increase in the delay and latency problem between the controllers.It is more significant for wide area networks,because of the large packet propagation latency and the controller placement problem is more important in every network.In the proposed work,IoT is implementing with adaptive fuzzy controller placement using the enhanced sunflower optimization(ESFO)algorithm and Pareto Optimal Controller placement tool(POCO)for the placement problem of the controller.In order to prove the efficiency of the proposed system,it is compared with other existing methods like PASIN,hybrid SD and PSO in terms of load balance,reduced number of controllers and average latency and delay.With 2 controllers,the proposed method obtains 400 miles as average latency,which is 22.2%smaller than PSO,76.9%lesser than hybrid SD and 91.89%lesser than PASIN.

Today,ship development has concentrated on electrifying ships in commercial and military applications to improve efficiency,support highpower missile systems and reduce emissions.However,the electric propulsion of the shipboard system experiences torque fluctuation,thrust,and power due to the rotation of the propeller shaft and the motion of waves.In order tomeet these challenges,a new solution is needed.This paper explores hybrid energy management systems using the battery and ultracapacitor to control and optimize the electric propulsion system.The battery type and ultracapacitor are ZEBrA and MAXWELL,respectively.The 3-,4-and 5-blade propellers are considered to produce power and move rapidly.The loss factor has been reduced,and the sea states have been found through the Elephant Herding Optimization algorithm.The efficiency of the proposed system is greatly enhanced through torque,thrust and power.The model predictive controller control strategy is activated to reduce load torque and drive system root Average Square(rMS)error.The implementations are conducted under the MATLAB platform.The values for torque,current,power,and error are measured and plotted.Finally,the performance of the proposed methodology is compared with other available algorithms such as BAT and Dragonfly(DF).The simulation results show that the results of the proposed method are superior to those of various techniques and algorithms such as BAT and Dragonfly.

BACKGrOUND As per the latest Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines,fluid resuscitation should be guided by repeated measurements of blood lactate levels until normalization.Nevertheless,raised lactate levels should be interpreted in the clinical context,as there may be other causes of elevated lactate levels.Thus,it may not be the best tool for real-time assessment of the effect of hemodynamic resuscitation,and exploring alternative resuscitation targets should be an essential research priority in sepsis.AIM To compare the 28-d mortality in two clinical patterns of septic shock:hyperlactatemic patients with hypoperfusion context and hyperlactatemic patients without hypoperfusion context.METHODS This prospective comparative observational study carried out on 135 adult patients with septic shock that met Sepsis-3 definitions compared patients with hyperlactatemia in a hypoperfusion context(Group 1,n=95)and patients with hyperlactatemia in a non-hypoperfusion context(Group 2,n=40).Hypoperfusion context was defined by a central venous saturation less than 70%,central venousarterial PCO_(2)gradient[P(cv-a)CO_(2)]≥6 mmHg,and capillary refilling time(CrT)≥4 s.The patients were observed for various macro and micro hemodynamic parameters at regular intervals of 0 h,3 h,and 6 h.All-cause 28-d mortality and all other secondary objective parameters were observed at specified intervals.Nominal categorical data were compared using theχ^(2)or Fisher’s exact test.Nonnormally distributed continuous variables were compared using the Mann-Whitney U test.receiver operating characteristic curve analysis with the Youden index determined the cutoff values of lactate,CrT,and metabolic perfusion parameters to predict the 28-d all-cause mortality.A P value ofred significant.rESULTS Patient demographics,comorbidities,baseline laboratory,vital parameters,source of infection,baseline lactate levels,and lactate clearance at 3 h and 6 h,Sequential Organ Failure scores,need for invasive mechanical ventilation,days on mechanical
