State-of-the-art on the anchorage performance of rock bolts subjected to shear load

Rock bolts are extensively utilized in underground engineering as a means of offering support and stability to rock masses in tunnels,mines,and other underground *** environments of high ground stress,faults or weak zones can frequently arise in rock formations,presenting a significant challenge for engineering and potentially leading to underground engineering *** bolts serve as a crucial structural element for the transmission of tensile stress and are capable of withstanding shear loads to prevent sliding of weak zones within rock ***,a complete understanding of the behavior of rock bolts subjected to shear loads is *** paper presents a state-of-the-art review of the research progress of rock bolts subjected to shear load in three categories:experiment,numerical simulation,and analytical *** review focuses on the research studies and developments in this area since the 1.70s,providing a comprehensive overview of numerous factors that influence the anchorage performance of rock *** factors include the diameter and angle of the rock bolt installation,rock strength,grouting material,bolt material,borehole diameter,rock bolt preload,normal stress,joint surface roughness and joint expansion *** paper reviews the improvement of mechanical parameter setting in numerical simulation of rock bolt ***,it delves into the optimization of the analytical model concerning rock bolt shear theory,approached from the perspectives of both Elastic foundation beam theory coupled with Elastoplasticity theory and Structural mechanic *** significance of this review lies in its ability to provide insights into the mechanical behavior of rock *** paper also highlights the limitations of current research and guidelines for further research of rock bolts.

A Sustainable Dual Cross‑Linked Cellulose Hydrogel Electrolyte for High‑Performance Zinc‑Metal Batteries

Aqueous rechargeable Zn-metal batteries(ARZBs)are considered one of the most promising candidates for grid-scale energy ***,their widespread commercial application is largely plagued by three major challenges:The uncontrollable Zn dendrites,notorious parasitic side reactions,and sluggish Zn^(2+) ion *** address these issues,we design a sustainable dual crosslinked cellulose hydrogel electrolyte,which has excellent mechanical strength to inhibit dendrite formation,high Zn^(2+) ions binding capacity to suppress side reaction,and abundant porous structure to facilitate Zn^(2+) ions ***,the Zn||Zn cell with the hydrogel electrolyte can cycle stably for more than 400 h under a high current density of 1. mA cm^(−2).Moreover,the hydrogel electrolyte also enables the Zn||polyaniline cell to achieve high-rate and long-term cycling performance(>2000 cycles at 2000 mA g^(−1.).Remarkably,the hydrogel electrolyte is easily accessible and biodegradable,making the ARZBs attractive in terms of scalability and sustainability.

Dynamic performance and parameter optimization of a half-vehicle system coupled with an inerter-based X-structure nonlinear energy sink

Inspired by the demand of improving the riding comfort and meeting the lightweight design of the vehicle, an inerter-based X-structure nonlinear energy sink(IXNES) is proposed and applied in the half-vehicle system to enhance the dynamic performance. The X-structure is used as a mechanism to realize the nonlinear stiffness characteristic of the NES, which can realize the flexibility, adjustability, high efficiency, and easy operation of nonlinear stiffness, and is convenient to apply in the vehicle suspension, and the inerter is applied to replacing the mass of the NES based on the mass amplification characteristic. The dynamic model of the half-vehicle system coupled with the IX-NES is established with the Lagrange theory, and the harmonic balance method(HBM) and the pseudo-arc-length method(PALM) are used to obtain the dynamic response under road harmonic excitation. The corresponding dynamic performance under road harmonic and random excitation is evaluated by six performance indices, and compared with that of the original half-vehicle system to show the benefits of the IX-NES. Furthermore, the structural parameters of the IX-NES are optimized with the genetic algorithm. The results show that for road harmonic and random excitation, using the IX-NES can greatly reduce the resonance peaks and root mean square(RMS) values of the front and rear suspension deflections and the front and rear dynamic tire loads, while the resonance peaks and RMS values of the vehicle body vertical and pitching accelerations are slightly *** the structural parameters of the IX-NES are optimized, the vehicle body vertical and pitching accelerations of the half-vehicle system could reduce by 2.41. and 1.1.%,respectively, and the other dynamic performance indices are within the reasonable ***, the IX-NES combines the advantages of the inerter, X-structure, and NES, which improves the dynamic performance of the half-vehicle system and provides an effective option for vibrati

In this study,we comprehensively investigated the scaling law for elastic properties of three-dimensional honeycomb-like graphenes(3D graphenes)using hybrid neural network potential-based molecular dynamics simulations and theoretical *** elastic constants were obtained as functions of honeycomb hole size,denoted by the graphene wall length *** five independent elastic constants in the large-L limit are proportional to L^(-1..The associated coefficients are combinations of elastic constants of two-dimensional ***-order terms including L^(-2)and L^(-3)emerge for finite L *** have three origins,the distorted areas close to the joint lines of 3D graphenes,the variation in solid angles between graphene plates,and the bending distortion of graphene ***,the chirality becomes essential with decreasing L because the joint line structures are different between the armchair and zigzag-type 3D *** findings provide insights into the elastic properties of graphene-based superstructures and can be used for further studies on graphene-based materials.

Underwater Image Classification Based on EfficientnetB0 and Two-Hidden-Layer Random Vector Functional Link
