Enhanced red luminescence of Ca_(3)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7):Eu^(3+)(M=Al,P)phosphors via partial substitution of Si^(4+) for applications in white light-emitting diodes

A red-emitting phosphor Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) with partial Al^(3+)/P^(5+) substitution on Si^(4+) was synthesized via a simple solid-state method,and the effects of the introduction of the M^(3+/5+)(M=Al,P)ions on the crystal structure and photoluminescence performance of Ca_(2.91)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors were *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results revealed that the structure of Ca_(3)Si_(2)O_(7) remained the same after the introduction of Al^(3+) and P^(5+) *** characteristic emission of Eu^(3+)-doped Ca_(3)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7) phosphors exhibited two main peaks at 617 nm(red)and 593 nm(orange)under excitation at 394 nm,which originated from the^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2)and^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1) electron transitions of Eu^(3+) *** the partial substitution of Al^(3+) and P^(5+),the red emission intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors were significantly enhanced by 1.88-and 1.42-fold,respectively,which is attributed to the crystal-field effect around Eu^(3+).Meanwhile,the luminescence intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)P_(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors at 210℃ were 79.36%and 77.53%of those at 30°C,respectively,indicating their excellent thermal ***,the as-prepared Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+)and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)P_(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) red-emitting phosphors were combined with a near-ultraviolet chip of 395 nm to fabricate red-light-emitting diode(LED)and white(w)-LED devices with excellent chromaticity *** summary,Al^(3+)/P^(5+)-substituted Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) can serve as red-emitting phosphors for applications in w-LEDs.

Interfacial solar steam generation(ISSG),involving the use of solar energy to evaporate water at the water-to-vapor interface,has presented prospects for the desalination and purification of water due to high energy conversion efficiency and low-cost freshwater ***,inspired by the aligned nanostructure of plants for efficiently transporting nutrient ions,we optimally design and construct a biomass-based Janus architecture evaporator with an oriented nanostructure for ISSG,using the ice template method,followed by biomimetic mineralization with the resource-abundant and low-cost biomass of the carboxymethyl cellulose and sodium alginate as the raw *** advantage of the oriented nanostructure allowing efficient transportation of water and coordination capacity of sodium alginate for effective enrichment of heavy-metal ions,the biomass-based Janus architecture shows much lower thermal conductivity and an ultrahigh steam regeneration rate of 2.3 kg m−2 h−1,considerably surpassing those of previously reported oriented biomass-based ***,the biomass precursor materials are used for this Janus evaporator,guaranteeing minimum impact on the water ecology and environment during the regeneration process of clean drinking *** study presents an efficient,green,and sustainable pathway for ISSG to effectively achieve heavy-metal-free drinking water.

Air pollution is one of the most challenging environmental issues in the *** has achieved remarkable success in improving air quality in last decade as a result of aggressive air pollution control ***,the average fine particulate matter(PM2.5)concentration in China is still about six times of the World Health Organization(WHO)Global Air Quality Guidelines(AQG)and causing significant human health *** emission reductions of multiple air pollutants are required for China to achieve the *** we identify the major challenges in future air quality improvement and propose corresponding control *** main challenges include the persistently high health risk attributed to PM2.5 pollution,the excessively loose air quality standards,and coordinated control of air pollution,greenhouse gases(GHGs)emissions and emerging *** further improve air quality and protect human health,a health-oriented air pollution control strategy shall be implemented by tightening the air quality standards as well as optimizing emission reduction pathways based on the health risks of various *** the meantime,an“oneatmosphere”concept shall be adopted to strengthen the synergistic control of air pollutants and GHGs and the control of non-combustion sources and emerging pollutants shall be enhanced.

Alleviative effects of Bacillus coagulans strains on irritable bowel syndrome-unraveling strain specificity through physiological and genomic analysis

The high intraspecies heterogeneity of Baciillus coagulans leads to significant phenotypic differences among different ***,6 *** strains were tested in the present study using an irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)animal model to determine whether the IBS-alleviating effects of *** strains are *** results of this study showed that the ingestion of *** GBI-30,6086,and *** CCFM1041 significantly alleviated IBS symptoms in *** contrast,other *** strains showed no or limited alleviating effects on IBS *** to our experimental results,the two main common features of these strains were as follows:1)The resistance of vegetative cells to bile salts,and 2)ability to synthesize specific lipids and secondary *** strains based on these two indicators may greatly reduce costs and provide a basis for mining new functional *** *** results also suggest that administration of *** could significantly regulate microbiota dysbiosis in animal ***,the close relationships between the gut microbiota,gut microbiota metabolites,and IBS were further confirmed in this study.

A real-time adaptive roles allocation method based on reinforcement learning is proposed to improve humanrobot cooperation performance for a curtain wall installation *** method breaks the traditional idea that the robot is regarded as the follower or only adjusts the leader and the follower in *** this paper,a self-learning method is proposed which can dynamically adapt and continuously adjust the initiative weight of the robot according to the change of the ***,the physical human-robot cooperation model,including the role factor is ***,a reinforcement learningmodel that can adjust the role factor in real time is established,and a reward and actionmodel is *** role factor can be adjusted continuously according to the comprehensive performance of the human-robot interaction force and the robot’s Jerk during the repeated ***,the roles adjustment rule established above continuously improves the comprehensive *** of the dynamic roles allocation and the effect of the performance weighting coefficient on the result have been *** results show that the proposed method can realize the role adaptation and achieve the dual optimization goal of reducing the sum of the cooperator force and the robot’s Jerk.

In this paper,we prove that for each positive k≡1 mod m there exists a P-symmetric kmτ-periodic solution xk for asymptotically linear mτ-periodic Hamiltonian systems,which are nonautonomous and endowed with a *** the P-symmetric Hamiltonian function is semi-positive,one can prove,under a new iteration inequality of the Maslov-type P-index,that xk_(1) and xk_(2) are geometrically distinct for k_(1)/k_(2)≥(2n+1)m+1;and xk_(1),xk_(2) are geometrically distinct for k_(1)/k_(2)≥m+1 provided xk_(1) is non-degenerate.

Patterned microsphere-lens projection lithography using an electrohydrodynamic-jetprinting-assisted assembly

Microlens arrays have been widely used in the fields of micro-optics and micro-and nanofabrication. Traditional preparation methods utilize commercial photoresists and thermosetting materials, thereby restricting the optical properties of microlenses. In recent years, significant advancements have been achieved in near-field super-resolution imaging by utilizing microspheres and forming arrays of microsphere lenses via self-assembly. However, self-assembly approaches lack flexibility in terms of pattern selection. This study proposes a method that utilizes electrohydrodynamic jet (E-jet) printing to code ultraviolet (UV)-curable adhesives and assist in the assembly of patterned microsphere-lens arrays. Simulation results demonstrate that the UV-curable adhesive has little impact on the optical properties of the microsphere lens. Moreover, the microsphere lens exhibits a superior imaging resolution compared with traditional microlenses. A projection-lithography system is developed to achieve an accurate alignment between the focal plane of the microsphere lenses and the plane of the photoresist, facilitating the fabrication of patterned nanostructures. The lithographic nanostructures have a minimum feature size of 850 nm. This method enables the fabrication of arrays of microsphere lenses with arbitrary patterns and presents an inexpensive and simple strategy for fabricating micro-and nanostructure arrays with submicrometer features.

Formation of free-surface vortex and vortex suppression by rotating stopper-rod at end of tundish casting

A rotating stopper-rod technique was proposed to suppress the formation of free-surface vortex in the *** large eddy simulation model coupled with volume of fluid model was developed to study the steel–slag–gas three-phase flow *** critical slag entrapment height of the free-surface vortex and mass of residual steel were predicted at different rotating speeds(30,60,90 and 120 r/min)of the rotating *** numerical model was verified by water model *** results showed that by rotating the stopper-rod in the opposite direction of the vortex above the submerged entry nozzle,the formation of vortex can be effectively disturbed and the critical height of the free-surface vortex can be *** for the 2nd strand,when the rotating speeds are 30,60,90 and 120 r/min,the critical height of the free-surface vortex above the 2nd strand is 7.3,4.7,6.3 and 7.4 cm,respectively.A reasonable rotating speed should be 60 r/min,which can reduce about 2 tons of residual *** rotating speeds just can reduce about 1.6 tons of residual steel.
