A low-cost fiber Bragg grating(FBG) sensing system for coal-mine security monitoring is proposed in this *** on the coherence multiplexing(CM) and spatial division multiplexing(SDM) techniques,this hybrid sensing network can support more than 40 sensors for quasi-distributed *** is demonstrated experimentally that the multiplexed sensing signal of each sensor can be clearly distinguished by an optical low-coherence reflectometry(OLCR).Methane concentration is detected with maximum sensitivities of an intensity variation of 10.92% and a concentration variation of 1%,using a well-designed sensor *** and temperature are also detected by this system,which also exhibits good results in the experiment.

Dear Editor,We report a rare case of endogenous endophthalmitis caused by Candida albicans in a patient with chronic renal failure concomitant hemodialysis.A 71-year-old man with a history of hypertension and 2-year chronic renal failure on hemodialysis via a native arteriovenous fistula(AVF)was presented to the local hospital due to fever 3wk *** pathogens were detected through blood culture on admission,and his fever gradually subsided with intravenous ceftriaxone *** a week of fever,he experienced progressive blurred vision in both eyes,accompanied by pain and *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)of the brain revealed *** had not undergone any previous eye surgeries or trauma.

Volatiles emitted from the leaves of Lycopersicon esculentum at the two-, ten-leaf and anthesis periods were collected by a gas absorbing method and analyzed by gas chromatography （GC）-mass spectrometry. In total, 33 compounds of volaUles emitted from three developmental stage plants were separated and identified, and quantitatively analyzed by the internal standard addition method. All of the samples of volatile were found to be rich in monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes.β-phellandrene and caryophyllene predominated in the volatiles of the leaves of plants at the two- and ten-leaf stages. Furthermore, （E）-2-hexenal were the dominant components in the volatiles emitted from anthesis plants. The results of volatiles analyzed show that the compositions varied depending on the developmental stages. The volatiles emitted from crushed tomato leaves of plants at the anthesis stage had the most strongly inhibitory activity against the spore germination and hyphal growth of Botrytis cinerea and Fusarium oxysporum, followed by ten- and two-leaf plants. However, the activity of volatiles, emitted from the leaves of plants at the two-leaf stage, in inhibiting F. oxysporum was greater than B. cinerea.

This paper proposes a novel impulsive thrust strategy guided by optimal continuous thrust strategy to address two-player orbital pursuit-evasion game under impulsive thrust *** strategy seeks to enhance the interpretability of impulsive thrust strategy by integrating it within the framework of differential game in traditional continuous ***,this paper introduces an impulse-like constraint,with periodical changes in thrust amplitude,to characterize the impulsive thrust ***,the game with the impulse-like constraint is converted into the two-point boundary value problem,which is solved by the combined shooting and deep learning method proposed in this *** learning and numerical optimization are employed to obtain the guesses for unknown terminal adjoint variables and the game terminal ***,the accurate values are solved by the shooting method to yield the optimal continuous thrust strategy with the impulse-like ***,the shooting method is iteratively employed at each impulse decision moment to derive the impulsive thrust strategy guided by the optimal continuous thrust *** examples demonstrate the convergence of the combined shooting and deep learning method,even if the strongly nonlinear impulse-like constraint is *** effect of the impulsive thrust strategy guided by the optimal continuous thrust strategy is also discussed.

The development of efficient processes allowing rapid access to complex chiral molecules from easily available alkenes is a long-term pursuit in the synthetic chemistry community. Transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric functionalization of allylic C–H bond represents a unique alternative toward this goal. However, enantioselective dehydrogenative transformation of olefins to value-added optically enriched molecules remains yet to be discovered. Here, we report a highly enantioselective dehydrogenative dienylation of imines with unactivated α-alkenes driven by the synergistic action of palladium complex and carboxylic acid. Chiral phosphoramidite ligands turned out to be superior in modulating the performance of palladium autotandem catalysis and allowed a broad range of α-alkenes and imines to be transformed into chiral dienylamines. Mechanistic studies suggest that the dienes could be in situ generated from α-alkenes through a palladium(0)-mediated dehydrogenative process in the presence of excess benzoquinone oxidants, and then participated in the Pd-chiral phosphoramidite-catalyzed intermolecular vinylogous-type addition to the imines activated by the carboxylic acid co-catalyst. Notably, the second β-H elimination occurring in the dienylation event might be the turnover-limiting step.

Current treatments for epilepsy can only manage the symptoms of the condition but cannot alter the initial onset or halt the progression of the disease. Consequently, it is crucial to identify drugs that can target novel cellular and molecular mechanisms and mechanisms of action. Increasing evidence suggests that axon guidance molecules play a role in the structural and functional modifications of neural networks and that the dysregulation of these molecules is associated with epilepsy susceptibility. In this review, we discuss the essential role of axon guidance molecules in neuronal activity in patients with epilepsy as well as the impact of these molecules on synaptic plasticity and brain tissue remodeling. Furthermore, we examine the relationship between axon guidance molecules and neuroinflammation, as well as the structural changes in specific brain regions that contribute to the development of epilepsy. Ample evidence indicates that axon guidance molecules, including semaphorins and ephrins, play a fundamental role in guiding axon growth and the establishment of synaptic connections. Deviations in their expression or function can disrupt neuronal connections, ultimately leading to epileptic seizures. The remodeling of neural networks is a significant characteristic of epilepsy, with axon guidance molecules playing a role in the dynamic reorganization of neural circuits. This, in turn, affects synapse formation and elimination. Dysregulation of these molecules can upset the delicate balance between excitation and inhibition within a neural network, thereby increasing the risk of overexcitation and the development of epilepsy. Inflammatory signals can regulate the expression and function of axon guidance molecules, thus influencing axonal growth, axon orientation, and synaptic plasticity. The dysregulation of neuroinflammation can intensify neuronal dysfunction and contribute to the occurrence of epilepsy. This review delves into the mechanisms associated with

Coal direct liquefaction technology is a crucial contemporary coal chemical technology for efficient and clean use of coal resources. The development of direct coal liquefaction technology and the promotion of alternative energy sources are important measures to guarantee energy security and economic security. However, several challenges need to be addressed, including low conversion rate, inadequate oil yield, significant coking, demanding reaction conditions, and high energy consumption. Extensive research has been conducted on these issues, but further exploration is required in certain aspects such as pyrolysis of macromolecules during the liquefaction process, hydrogen activation, catalysts' performance and stability, solvent hydrogenation, as well as interactions between free radicals to understand their mechanisms better. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the design strategy for efficient catalysts in coal liquefaction, encompassing the mechanism of coal liquefaction, catalyst construction,and enhancement of catalytic conversion efficiency. It serves as a comprehensive guide for further research endeavors. Firstly, it systematically summarizes the conversion mechanism of direct coal liquefaction, provides detailed descriptions of various catalyst design strategies, and especially outlines the catalytic mechanism. Furthermore, it addresses the challenges and prospects associated with constructing efficient catalysts for direct coal liquefaction based on an understanding of their action mechanisms.

Surgical treatment effects in cancer of the cardia and esophagogastric junction

Objective： To evaluate the treatment effects of total gastrectomy （TG） and proximal gastrectomy （PG） for cancer of the cardia and esophagogastric junction. Methods： forty-five patients with cancer of the cardia and esophagogastric junction underwent surgical resection. Of them, 29 were treated using proximal gastrectomy and 16 total gastrectomy. The 3-year and 5-year survival rate and the postoperative complication rate and mortality rate were followed up and compared between the two groups. Results： The 3-year and 5-year survival rates of group PG were 44.8% and 20.7%, of group TG were 37.5% and 18.8%, respectively, and the differences were not statistically significant （X^2= 3.84, P 〉 0.05; X^2= 3.89, P 〉 0.05）. The postoperative complication and mortality rate of group PG were 13.7% and 6.8%, of group TG was all 6%, respectively. Conclusion： Proximal and total gastrectomy treatment effects can not significantly influence the prognosis of patients in progressive stage of cancer of cardia and esophagogastric junction.

The CRISPR RNA(crRNA)consists of a conserved repeat RNA(rRNA)and an alterable spacer RNA(sRNA),which can guide the Cas12a effector to recognize and target DNA molecules of interest in both full-length and split *** herein demonstrated the split crRNA can be repurposed for RNA detection through serving the sRNA as an RNA *** by this phenomenon,we developed a Cas12a-based direct RNA detection method,known as split crRNA-motivated amplification-free RNA testing(SMART).We adopted SMART to detect both short-stranded and long-stranded RNA target using two Cas12a orthologs(LbCas12a and FnCas12a),and it showed more prominent ability in detecting short-stranded RNA than long-stranded *** potential mechanism revealed that RNA overhangs impede the RNA strand and dsDNA activator from accessing the catalytic site in the RuvC domain of the Cas12a effector,compromising the stability of the quaternary complex,and thus reducing the efficiency of ***,by simply introducing a short DNA activator,SMART could detect attomolar miRNA targets and femtomolar long-stranded RNA target without the need for additional preamplification or reverse transcription *** addition,SMART showed wonderful discrimination ability toward single-nucleotide ***,the collaboration of SMART with the CRISPR–Cas13a system enabled simultaneous detection of multiplex ***,SMART is a simple,yet potent tool that can be flexibly applied to various short-stranded RNA detection,and holds great potential to be extended to other Cas12 orthologs.

Lithium-rich layered oxides (LLOs) are increasingly recognized as promising cathode materials for nextgeneration high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries (LIBs).However,they suffer from voltage decay and low initial Coulombic efficiency (ICE) due to severe structural degradation caused by irreversible O ***,we introduce a three-in-one strategy of increasing Ni and Mn content,along with Li/Ni disordering and TM–O covalency regulation to boost cationic and anionic redox activity simultaneously and thus enhance the electrochemical activity of *** target material,Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.168)Mn_(0.558)Co_(0.074)O_(2)(L1),exhibits an improved ICE of 87.2%and specific capacity of 293.2 mA h g^(-1)and minimal voltage decay of less than 0.53 m V cycle-1over 300 cycles at 1C,compared to Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.13)Mn_(0.54)Co_(0.13)O_(2)(Ls)(274.4 mA h g^(-1)for initial capacity,73.8%for ICE and voltage decay of 0.84 mV/cycle over 300 cycles at 1C).Theoretical calculations reveal that the density of states (DOS) area near the Fermi energy level for L1 is larger than that of Ls,indicating higher anionic and cationic redox reactivity than ***,L1 exhibits increased O-vacancy formation energy due to higher Li/Ni disordering of 4.76%(quantified by X-ray diffraction Rietveld refinement) and enhanced TM–O covalency,making lattice O release more difficult and thus improving electrochemical *** increased Li/Ni disordering also leads to more Ni^(2+)presence in the Li layer,which acts as a pillar during Li+de-embedding,improving structural *** research not only presents a viable approach to designing low-Co LLOs with enhanced capacity and ICE but also contributes significantly to the fundamental understanding of structural regulation in high-performance LIB cathodes.
