High-entropy alloy nanoparticles(HEA-NPs) have recently sparked great interest in materials science. Their solidsolution states, derived from distinct HEA configurations, make them promising candidates for catalysts with exceptional activity, stability, and tunable performance. However, a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms governing their electrocatalytic behavior is still lacking, hindering the rational design of HEA electrocatalysts. This review summarizes the fundamental knowledge of HEA-NPs, including the structureactivity correlations of HEA-NPs, diverse synthesis strategies, and applications in electrochemical catalysis. The design strategies for guiding improvements in tunable performance were highlighted. The article concludes with insights, perspectives, and future directions, encapsulating the state-of-the-art knowledge and paving the way for further exploration in this dynamic field.

Genome editing holds great promise for the molecular breeding of plants,yet its application is hindered by the shortage of simple and effective means of delivering genome editing reagents into *** plant transformation-based methods for delivery of genome editing reagents into plants often involve prolonged tissue culture,a labor-intensive and technically challenging process for many elite crop *** this review,we describe various virus-based methods that have been employed to deliver genome editing reagents,including components of the CRISPR/Cas machinery and donor DNA for precision editing in *** update the progress in these methods with recent successful examples of genome editing achieved through virus-based delivery in different plant species,highlight the advantages and limitations of these delivery approaches,and discuss the remaining challenges.

Organohydrogels have demonstrated superior environmental adaptability and frost resistance compared to conventional hydrogels,thereby prompting considerable interests in the development and design of innovative ***,we report an effective one-pot method for fabricating MXene/polyacrylamide(MXene/PAM)composite organohydrogel(MAOH)by employing Ga liquid metals(Ga LMs)as a highly reactive component in the induced free radical polymerization reaction,without the need for additional heating or cross-linking *** synthetic protocol addresses the time-consuming and organic solvent waste concerns associated with traditional solvent displacement methods for organohydrogel *** incorporation of MXene not only highly enhances the conductivity but also confers improved mechanical properties of *** MAOH exhibits excellent environmental adaptability(>7 d),sustained moisture retention,remarkable self-healing capabilities,and outstanding mechanical properties under low temperatures(-20℃).It demonstrates exceptional performance in micro-motion monitoring,rapid response time(125 ms),superior stretchability,and a broad range of strains(0.3%–600%).Therefore,the designed MAOH has great potential for applications in diverse fields such as prosthetics,electronic skin,human–machine interaction,and smart terminals.

Photothermal ethanol steam reforming(ESR) is currently limited by low intrinsic activity and strong solar energy ***,we synthesized Fe single atoms supported on CeO_(2)(SA Fe-CeO_(2)) to exhibit excellent low-temperature ESR activity with a hydrogen production rate of 512 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1) at 350℃,becuase of the high oxidation state of Fe single atoms to weaken the reaction barrier of ethanol ***,a heterostructure of SA Fe-CeO_(2) and Ti foil could eliminate 66% of infrared radiation via the size effect,thus achieving a 3.5 sun-driven temperature of 347℃.Consequently,the heterostructure of SA Fe-CeO_(2) and Ti foil shows a hydrogen generation rate of 984 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1) of ESR and 11.31% of solar-to-hydrogen energy conversion efficiency,which outperforms other photothermal ethanol-hydrogen production *** study provides a new path for designing active catalytic sites and trapping light energy of photothermal catalysts.

The Righi±Leduc heat flux generated by the self-generated magnetic field in the ablative Rayleigh±Taylor instability driven by a laser irradiating thin targets is studied through two-dimensional extended-magnetohydrodynamic *** perturbation structure gets into a low magnetization state though the peak strength of the self-generated magnetic field could reach hundreds of *** Righi±Leduc effect plays an essential impact both in the linear and nonlinear stages,and it deflects the total heat flux towards the spike *** to the case without the self-generated magnetic field included,less heat flux is concentrated at the spike tip,finally mitigating the ablative stabilization and leading to an increase in the velocity of the spike *** is shown that the linear growth rate is increased by about 10%and the amplitude during the nonlinear stage is increased by even more than 10%due to the feedback of the magnetic field,*** results reveal the importance of Righi±Leduc heat flux to the growth of the instability and promote deep understanding of the instability evolution together with the self-generated magnetic field,especially during the acceleration stage in inertial confinement fusion.

When a high-speed train approaches the insulated phase-splitting section embedded between neighbouring power supply arms, the vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) installed on trains must be disconnected to maintain the traction power supply system as a no-load condition for completing phase-switching action, as the train passes through the phase-splitting section depending on its inertia. However, when operating VCBs, the arc is easily triggered between the mobile contacts inside, accompanied by an overvoltage impulse. Herein, to explore the generating mechanism of inrush current and operational overvoltage, a model describing the 'substation-catenary-train' traction power supply system is launched based on an equivalent circuit modelling technique. Through the analysis of the transient VCB operational process, the phase of catenary voltage is directly related to the characteristics of the VCB switching-on overvoltage, as the traction current's phase angle is relevant to the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the VCB switching-off overvoltage. Inrush current as a noteworthy element is related to the traction transformer's remanence. The automatic phase-switching technique is utilised to suppress both operational overvoltage and inrush current, as the optimal combination of VCB switching-on and switching-off phases considering the balance between overvoltage and inrush current is achieved based on the particle swarm algorithm.

AIM:To assess whether there is a possible causal link between the intake of cheese and the risk of diabetic retinopathy(DR)utilizing a two-sample Mendelian randomization(MR)***:The research data were obtained from summary statistics of genome-wide association studies(GWAS).Genetic loci closely related to cheese intake were extracted as instrumental variables(IVs),and DR was the outcome *** data were extracted from individuals of European *** data of cheese intake consisted of 451486 samples with 9851867 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs),while the DR data consisted of 206234 samples with 16380446 ***-one genetic loci closely related to cheese intake were selected as *** analysis was performed by inverse-variance weighted(IVW)method and MR-Egger regression *** causal relationship between cheese intake and DR was evaluated using odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Egger-intercept test was used to test horizontal pleiotropy and sensitivity analysis was performed by leave-one-out ***:The P value of the IVW method was less than 0.05,indicating a significant negative correlation between cheese intake and ***-Egger regression showed that the intercept was 0.01 with a standard error of 0.022,and a P-value of 0.634,indicating no evidence of horizontal pleiotropy affecting the IVs related to the exposure ***,heterogeneity tests confirmed the absence of heterogeneity,and the“leave-one-out”sensitivity analysis demonstrated that the results were ***:Cheese intake is causally negatively correlated with the occurrence of DR,and cheese intake could reduce the risk of DR.
