Total hip revision with custom-made spacer and prosthesis:A case report

Enhanced thermoelectric performance of Bi2Se3/TiO2 composite

Bi2(Te,Se)3 alloys are conventional commercial thermoelectric materials for solid-state refrigeration around room *** recent years,much attention has been paid to various advanced thermoelectric composite materials due to the unique thermoelectric *** this work,Bi2Se3/TiO2 composites were prepared by hot pressing the plate-like Bi2Se3 powders coated in situ with hydrolyzed hytetabutyl-n-butyl titanate(TNBT),and therefore numerous TiO2 in micrometer size could be formed on the interface of Bi2Se3 *** carrier concentration in Bi2Se3 matrix is optimized subject to the addition of n-type semiconductor TiO2,contributing to a significant improved power *** the meantime,the lattice thermal conductivity is also suppressed due to the enhanced phonon scattering at Bi2Se3/TiO2 interface and amorphous TiO2 *** a consequence,a peak figure of merit(zT)of 0.41 is obtained at 525 K in Bi2Se3/15 mol%TiO2 composites,nearly 50%augment over the pristine Bi2Se3 binary compound.

利用纳米石墨-适配体传感器结合脱氧核糖核酸酶(DNase I)信号放大策略检测了肿瘤标志物甲胎蛋白(AFP)。通过将纳米石墨(NG)和DNase I加入到适体(aptamer)溶液中合成了一种新型的荧光传感器NG/Aptamer。加入AFP后,AFP/aptamer复合物的形成导致aptamer从NG表面脱离,随后aptamer被DNase I分解,目标AFP被释放出来进行新一轮循环,从而实现了检测信号的明显放大。在最佳条件下,AFP浓度在3~150 pg·mL^(-1)范围内与荧光强度呈线性关系,检测限为2.556 pg·mL^(-1)。此外,所开发的传感器对AFP具有高度特异性,不会受到其他结构类似物质的干扰。该传感器也可应用于人血清样本中AFP的检测,回收率为95.1~103.8%。

Statistical x^2 Testing Based Fault Detection for Linear Discrete Time-delay Systems

This paper is concerned with statisticalx^2 testing based fault detection （FD） for a class of linear discrete time-varying （LDTV） stochastic systems with delayed state. Different from the traditional residual based FD, we propose to construct the evaluation function by directly using measurement observations. Then an equivalent solution can be given in terms of Riccati recursion by utilizing projection and innovation analysis technique. Moreover, the fault free case evaluation function is with central x^2 distribution and the heavy computational burden is reduced. Furthermore, strategies of x^2 statistic testing on evaluation function are also discussed. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed method.

The abnormality of platelet function plays an important role in the pathogenesis and evolution of blood stasis syndrome(BSS).The explanation of its mechanism is a key scientific issue in the study of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and *** biology technology provides a good technical platform for further development of platelet multi-omics,which is conducive to the scientific interpretation of the biological mechanism of *** article summarized the pathogenesis of platelets in BSS,the mechanism of action of blood activating and stasis resolving drugs,and the application of genomics,proteomics,and metabonomics in platelet research,and put forward the concept of"plateletomics in BSS".Through the combination and cross-validation of multi-omics technology,it mainly focuses on the clinical and basic research of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases;through the interactive verification of multi-omics technology and system biology,it mainly focuses on the platelet function and secretion *** article systematically explains the molecular biological mechanism of platelet activation,aggregation,release,and other stages in the formation and development of BSS,and provides a new research idea and method for clarifying the pathogenesis of BSS and the mechanism of action of blood activating and stasis resolving drugs.

Effect of Atmospheric CO_2 Enrichment on Soil Respiration in Winter Wheat Growing Seasons of a Rice-Wheat Rotation System

Studies on the effect of elevated CO2 on C dynamics in cultivated croplands are critical to a better understanding of the C cycling in response to climate change in agroecosystems. To evaluate the effects of elevated CO2 and different N fertilizer application levels on soil respiration, winter wheat （Triticum aestivum L. cv. Yangmai 14） plants were exposed to either ambient CO2 or elevated CO2 （ambient [CO2] ＋ 200 μmol mol-1）, under N fertilizer application levels of 112.5 and 225 kg N ha-1 （as low N and normal N subtreatments, respectively）, for two growing seasons （2006-2007 and 2007-2008） in a rice-winter wheat rotation system typical in China. A split-plot design was adopted. A root exclusion method was used to partition soil respiration （RS） into heterotrophic respiration （RH） and autotrophic respiration （RA）. Atmospheric CO2 enrichment increased seasonal cumulative RS by 11.8% at low N and 5.6% at normal N when averaged over two growing seasons. Elevated CO2 significantly enhanced （P 〈 0.05） RS （12.7%）, mainly due to the increase in RH （caused by decomposition of larger amounts of rice residue under elevated CO2） during a relative dry season in 2007-2008. Higher N supply also enhanced RS under ambient and elevated CO2. In the 2007-2008 season, normal N treatment had a significant positive effect （P 〈 0.01） on seasonal cumulative RS relative to low N treatment when averaged across CO2 levels （16.3%）. A significant increase in RA was mainly responsible for the enhanced RS under higher N supply. The correlation （r2） between RH and soil temperature was stronger （P 〈 0.001） than that between RS and soil temperature when averaged across all treatments in both seasons. Seasonal patterns of RA may be more closely related to the plant phenology than soil temperature. The Q10 （the multiplier to the respiration rate for a 10 ℃ increase in soil temperature） values of RS and RH were not affected by elevated CO2 or higher N supply. Study of the interfacial interactions in the molybdenite floatation system

Interfacial interactions involving Van der Waals force, hydrophobic attractive force and hydration exclusive force were investigated in this paper. The interfacial interactive free energy of a series of interfaces occurring between minerals, water, collectors and bubble was calculated. The results show that a Van der Waals attractive force and a hydrophobic attractive force exist between each mineral and water interface. The hydrophobic attractive force between molybdenite and water is markedly weaker than the hydrophobic attractive force between gangue and water. The hydrophobic attractive force between collector molecules and water is the main driving force that causes the collectors to become dispersed in the pulp. The strong hydrophobic attractive force between molybdenite and the bubble interface is the basic reason for the natural floatability of molybdenite. The Van der Waals force between molybdenite and the collectors is attractive in water solution, but it is not the cause of the main force between them. The main force that results in the collection effect is a hydrophobic attractive force caused by the Lewis acid-base interaction at the molybdenite surface. A floatation experiment shows that the adsorption intensity of the collector on the molybdenite surface is not the crucial factor for molybdenite floatation. Rather, the dispersing capability of the collector in the water phase and its selectivity for the various minerals in the floatation system are more important.

Phototropism of Thalli and Rhizoids Developed from the Thallus Segments of Bryopsis hypnoides Lamouroux

Newly regenerated thalli were used to study the phototropism of Bryopsis hypnoides Lamouroux under different qualities of light. Positive phototropism in the thalli and negative phototropiam In the rhizoida of B. hypnoides were investigated and analyzed in terms of bending. Both thaiii and rhlzoids developed from thallus segments exhibited typical tip growth, and their photoreceptive sites for phototroplam were also restricted to the apical hemisphere. The bending curvature of rhizoids and thalli were determined with unilateral lights at various wavelengths and different fluence rates after a fixed duration of Illumination. The trends of bending from the rhizoid and thallus were coincident, which showed that the action spectrum had a large range, from ultraviolet radiation （366.5 nm） to green light （524 nm）. Based on the bending curvatures, blue light had the highest efficiency, while the efficiency of longer wavelengths （〉500 nm） was significantly lower. External Ca^2＋ had no effect on the bending curvature of thalli and rhlzolda. Blue light （440 nm） induced thallus branching from rhizoids, while red light （650 nm） had no such effect. Fast-occurring chloroplast accumulation In the outermost cytoplasmic layer of the blue light （440 nm）-Irradiated region In the rhizoid was observed, from which protrusions （new thalli） arose after 4 h of the onset of illumination, and this action was thought to be driven by the dynamics of actin microfilamenta.

Experimental demonstration of switching entangled photons based on the Rydberg blockade effect

The long-range interaction between Rydberg-excited atoms endows a medium with large optical ***,we demonstrate an optical switch to operate on a single photon from an entangled photon pair under a Rydberg electromagnetically induced transparency *** the presence of the Rydberg blockade effect,we switch on a gate field to make the atomic medium nontransparent thereby absorbing the single photon emitted from another atomic ensemble via the spontaneous fourwave mixing *** contrast to the case without a gate field,more than 50%of the photons sent to the switch are blocked,and finally achieve an effective single-photon *** are on average 1-2 gate photons per effective blockade sphere in one gate *** switching effect on a single entangled photon depends on the principal quantum number and the photon number of the gate *** experimental progress is significant in the quantum information process especially in controlling the interaction between Rydberg atoms and entangled photon pairs.

High-entropy alloy nanoparticles(HEA-NPs) have recently sparked great interest in materials science. Their solidsolution states, derived from distinct HEA configurations, make them promising candidates for catalysts with exceptional activity, stability, and tunable performance. However, a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms governing their electrocatalytic behavior is still lacking, hindering the rational design of HEA electrocatalysts. This review summarizes the fundamental knowledge of HEA-NPs, including the structureactivity correlations of HEA-NPs, diverse synthesis strategies, and applications in electrochemical catalysis. The design strategies for guiding improvements in tunable performance were highlighted. The article concludes with insights, perspectives, and future directions, encapsulating the state-of-the-art knowledge and paving the way for further exploration in this dynamic field.
