Electrochemical gas evolution reactions are common but essential in many electrochemical processes including water *** these processes,gas bubbles are constantly nucleating on reaction interfaces in electrolyte and consequently exert an impact on catalysts and the *** the past few decades,extensive studies have been conducted to characterize bubbles with emerging advanced technologies,manage behaviors of bubbles,and apply bubbles to various *** this review,we summarize representative discoveries as well as recent advancements in electrochemical gas evolution reactions from the perspective of gas ***,we end up this review with a profound outlook on future research topics from the combination of experiments and theoretical techniques,non-negligible bubble effects,gravity-free situation,and reactions under practical industrial conditions.

In recent years,addressing ill-posed problems by leveraging prior knowledge contained in databases on learning techniques has gained much *** this paper,we focus on complete three-dimensional(3D)point cloud reconstruction based on a single red-green-blue(RGB)image,a task that cannot be approached using classical reconstruction *** this purpose,we used an encoder-decoder framework to encode the RGB information in latent space,and to predict the 3D structure of the considered object from different *** individual predictions are combined to yield a common representation that is used in a module combining camera pose estimation and rendering,thereby achieving differentiability with respect to imaging process and the camera pose,and optimization of the two-dimensional prediction error of novel ***,our method allows end-to-end training and does not require supervision based on additional ground-truth(GT)mask annotations or ground-truth camera pose *** evaluation of synthetic and real-world data demonstrates the robustness of our approach to appearance changes and self-occlusions,through outperformance of current state-of-the-art methods in terms of accuracy,density,and model completeness.

Expression and Purification of Enterovirus Type 71 Polyprotein P1 using Pichia pastoris system

Enterovirus type 71（EV71） causes severe hand-foot-and-mouth disease （HFMD） resulting in hundreds of deaths of children every year; However, currently, there is no effective treatment for EV71. In this study, the EV71 poly-protein （EV71-P1 protein） gene was processed and cloned into the eukaryotic expression vector pPIC9k and then expressed in Pichia pastoris strain GSll5. The EV71 P1 protein with a molecular weight of 100 kD was produced and secreted into the medium. The soluble EV71 P1 protein was purified by column chromatography with a recovery efficiency of 70%. The result of the immunological analysis showed that the EV71 P1 protein had excellent immunogenicity and could stimulate the production of EV71-VP1 IgG antibody in injected rabbits. We suggest that EV71-P1 protein is an ideal candidate for an EV71 vaccine to prevent EV71 infection.

Induction of tumor vasculature occlusion by targeting a thrombogen to newly formed blood vessels in tumor tissues represents an intriguing approach to the eradication of primary solid tumors. In the current study, we construct and express a fusion protein containing vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and tissue factor (TF) to explore whether this fusion protein has the capability of inhibiting tumor growth in a colon carcinoma model. The murine cDNA of VEGF A and TF were amplified by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and then cloned into prokaryotic expression plasmid pQE30 with a linker. The expression product recombinant VEGF-TF (rVEGF-TF) was purified and proved to have comparable enzyme activity to a commercial TF and the capability of specific binding to tumor vessels. Significant decrease of tumor growth was found in the mice administered with rVEGF-TF on Day 6 after initiated rVEGF-TF treatment (P<0.05), and the tumor masses in 2 of 10 mice were almost disappeared on Day 14 after the first treatment. In addition, valid thrombogenesis and tumor necrosis were observed in the tumor tissues injected with rVEGF-TF. Our results demonstrate that occlusion of tumor vasculature with rVEGF-TF is potentially an effective approach for cancer therapy.

The human pescadillo gene encodes a protein with a BRCT domain. Pescadillo plays an important role in DNA synthesis, cell proliferation and transformation. Since BRCT do- mains have been shown to induce chromatin large-scale unfolding, we tested the role of Pesca- dillo in regulation of large-scale chromatin unfolding. To this end, we isolated the coding region of Pescadillo from human mammary MCF10A cells. Compared with the reported sequence, the isolated Pescadillo contains in-frame deletion from amino acid 580 to 582. Targeting the Pesca- dillo to an amplified, lac operator-containing chromosome region in the mammalian genome re- sults in large-scale chromatin decondensation. This unfolding activity maps to the BRCT domain of Pescadillo. These data provide a new clue to understanding the vital role of Pescadillo.

BACKGROUND The first case of pneumonia subsequently attributed to severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) occurred in Wuhan,Hubei Province on December 8,*** symptoms included fever,coughing,and breathing difficulties.A few patients with this infection may only have atypical symptoms,which could lead to a misdiagnosis and subsequently further facilitate the spread of the *** SUMMARY A 74-year-old female patient complained of severe *** did not have fever,coughing,or breathing difficulties.A physical examination revealed no obvious positive *** patient had been hypertensive for more than 10 *** blood pressture was well *** January 9,2020,the patient’s son visited a colleague who was later confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 and his first close contact with our patient was on January *** patient was first diagnosed with gastrointestinal ***,considering her indirect contact with a SARS-CoV-2-infected individual,we suggested that an atypical pneumonia virus infection should be ruled out.A computed tomography scan was performed on January 26,and showed ground-glass nodules scattered along the two lungs,suggestive of viral *** the clinical characteristics,epidemiological history,and examination,the patient was diagnosed with corona virus disease-2019 (COVID-19).CONCLUSION Our patient had atypical symptoms of *** acquisition of an epidemiological history is necessary to make a correct diagnosis and strategize a treatment plan.

The India–Eurasia collision has produced a number of Cenozoic deep intracontinental basins,which bear important information for revealing the far-afield responses to the remote *** their significance,their subsiding mechanism remains the subject of debate,with end-member models attributing it to either orogenic or sedimentary *** this study,we conduct flexural subsidence modeling with a two-dimensional finite elastic plate model on the Hotan-Mazatagh section along the southern Tarim Basin,which defines a key region in the foreland of the West Kunlun Orogen,along the NW margin of the Tibetan *** modeling results indicate that the orogenic load of West Kunlun triggers the southern Tarim Basin to subside by up to less than ~6 km,with its impact weakening towards the basin interiors until ~230 km north from the Karakax *** sedimentary load,consisting of Cenozoic strata,forces the basin to subside by ~2 to~7 *** combination with the retreat of the proto-Paratethys Sea and the paleogeographic reorganization of the Tarim Basin,we propose that surface processes,in particular a shift from an exorheic to an endorheic drainage system associated with the consequent thick sedimentary load,played a decisive role in forming deep intracontinental basins in the context of the India-Eurasia collision.
