In recent research a pattern has emerged which in analogy to the coronary prone pattern (type A) has been labelled type C encompassing suppression of emotional responses such as anger and hostility rationality and antiemotionality as well as high social conformity and a lack of self-assertiveness. There is growing evidence in both infrahuman and human research that specific coping styles (repressive coping) with stress may be associated with specific biologic responses including neuroendocrine immunologic and other bodily functions. The application of this model appears to be of importance for further research as well as for the detection of high risk individuals but also in regard to therapy rehabilitation early detection and possibly also prevention of malignant disease. This concept suggests also new directions and modifications of stress research as stressors are to be viewed not necessarily as pathological but in some instances as quite possibly salutary depending on the nature of the stres-sor the psychophysiologic state of the individual and his or her ability to cope with adverse life situations. Quite naturally the development of this concept is still in its initial stages there remain anumber of open questions and it needs hardly to be pointed out in this connection that further and painstaking clinical and laboratory work is warranted in order to clarify the role of stressors life and coping styles and its biological concomitants in neo-plastic disease.

Mass-Oscillators as Information Memories of Action

In the theory of physical information, the physical phenomena of electromagnetism, quantum mechanics and gravity can be described by means of the action as information enclosed in four dimensional structures with oscillator properties, under the conditions of the Hamilton principle. The present report shows that it is also possible to simulate the behaviour of the mass under these conditions. As a result, among other things, the statements are obtained that the mass is stored virtual action;the rest frame of elementary objects and the inertia of matter are caused by the action stored in the mass oscillators.

By means of a representation of the elementary objects by the Lagrange density and by the commutators of the communication relations, correlations can be formed using the Fourier transform, which under the conditions of the Hamilton principle, describes correlation structures of the elementary objects with oscillator properties. The correlation structures obtained in this way are characterized by physical information, the essential component of which is the action. The correlation structures describe the physical properties and their interactions under the sole condition of the Hamilton’s principle. The structure, the properties and the interactions of elementary objects can be led back in this way to a fundamental four dimensional structure, which is therefore in their different modifications the building block of nature. With the presented method, an alternative interpretation of elementary physical effects to quantum mechanics is obtained. This report provides an overview of the fundamentals and statements of physical information theory and its consequences for understanding the nature of elementary objects.

To achieve a high product quality for nano-scale systems,both realistic defect mechanisms and process variations must be taken into *** existing approaches for variation-aware digital testing either restrict themselves to special classes of defects or assume given probability distributions to model variabilities,the proposed approach combines defect-oriented testing with statistical library *** uses Monte Carlo simulations at electrical level to extract delay distributions of cells in the presence of defects and for the defect-free *** allows distinguishing the effects of process variations on the cell delay from defect-induced cell delays under process *** provide a suitable interface for test algorithms at higher levels of abstraction,the distributions are represented as histograms and stored in a histogram data base (HDB).Thus,the computationally expensive defect analysis needs to be performed only once as a preprocessing step for library characterization,and statistical test algorithms do not require any low level information beyond the *** generation of the HDB is demonstrated for primitive cells in 45 nm technology.

Eight species of brown algae(Phaeophyceae)from the coast of Madagascar have been investigated for their chemical ***(3)was obtained as the most abundant *** brown alga Sargassum ilicifolium was the source for the first isolation of the terpenoid C27-alcohol 1,10,2-trinorsqualenol(1)from marine *** *** we isolated the highly unsaturated glycolipid 1-O-palmitoyl-2-O-stearidonoyl-3-O-β-D-galactopyranosylglycerol(4)and we report the first full assignment of its ^(1)H and ^(13)C NMR ***-90-fucoxanthinone(8)along with 24-ketocholesterol(5),(22E)-3b-hydroxycholesta-5,22-dien-24-one(6),and saringosterol(7)were obtained from Turbinaria *** crude extracts of all eight species of brown algae exhibited a pronounced antimicrobial activity against the Gram-positive bacteria Bacillus cereus,Staphylococcus aureus,and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

目前金属基材料的原材料成本对热喷涂涂层的经济性造成压力。特别是材料挥发和近期铼、钨、钴和镍基材料的价格增长,对各应用领域的许多涂层的经济性造成严重威胁。由于沉积效率的限制,喷涂中未沉积物问题变得越来越重要,不仅只是减少浪费,还可以从材料自身价值角度去看。回收是解决这个问题的一个措施,特别是当废料中含有高价值金属时。欧洲执行的REACH(化学制品的注册、评估、授权)将会逐步强制淘汰标有有毒的材料和物质的使用。在热喷涂中使用这些有毒物质或使用热喷涂产品可能暂时是安全的,然而,从法律限制和从其他工业领域得到的指示表明,像WC-Co粉末这样的化学制品对人体有害。要想在将来的涂层工厂中保持竞争性,必须符合不断提高的更严格的环保和安全规程。

We developed novel synthetic routes to heterocyclic ring systems by using transition metal-mediated or -catalyzed reactions. A Lewis acid-promoted addition of the propargyl Grignard reagent 2 to the Schiff base 1 followed by a silvermediated oxidative cyclization of the homopropargylamine 3 provided the aryl-substituted pyrrole 4. Combined with a chemoselective hydrogenation of the pyrrole ring, this method has been applied to the total synthesis of the biologically active fused indolizidine alkaloids ( ± )-harmicine and ( ± )-crispine A[1]. International Winter Wheat Improvement Program(IWWIP) was established in 1986 between the Government of Turkey and CIMMYT with three main objectives:(1) develop winter/facultative germplasm for Central and West Asia,(2) facilitate global winter wheat germplasm exchange, and(3) training wheat *** joined the program in 1991 making it a threeway partnership that continues to work *** germplasm developed by IWWIP as well as the winter wheat cultivars and lines received from global cooperators are assembled into international *** nurseries are offered annually to public and private entities(IWWIP website) and distributed to more than 100 cooperators in all *** impact has primarily been in new winter wheat cultivars combining broad adaptation, high yield potential, drought tolerance and disease resistance.A total of 93 IWWIP cultivars have been released in 11 countries occupying annually an estimated 2.5–3.0 *** cooperation with researchers in Turkey, Central and West Asia and several US universities has resulted in a number of publications reviewed in this *** IWWIP impacts include national inventories of wheat landraces in Turkey, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, their collection, characterization, evaluation and utilization.

Syncope as a health risk for soldiers: Influence of medical history and clinical findings on the sensitivity of head-up tilt table testing

Background: Syncope is a relevant health problem in military environments. Reliable diagnosis is challenging. Tilt table testing is an important tool for syncope diagnosis. The aim of this study was to determine whether signs such as prodromal symptoms, co-morbidity, frequency of syncopal events, body length, body mass index, and electrocardiography(ECG) abnormalities can be used to predict the success of tilt table testing at diagnosing ***: Data from 100 patients with histories of syncope or pre-syncope, who were diagnosed using head-up tilt table testing, were retrospectively analyzed in a cross-sectional analysis. The diagnostic procedure was based upon a modified version of the Westminster protocol without any pharmacological provocation. Results: Patients showing pathological reaction patterns during tilt table testing suffered from prodromal symptoms, such as dizziness and sweating, significantly more often. The patients reported more injuries resulting from syncopal events and more previous syncopal events, and the prevalence of co-morbidity was greater among patients presenting negative findings during tilt testing. An asthenic-leptosomal physique was not confirmed as a risk factor for syncopal events as is the case for idiopathic arterial hypotension. However, patients with pathological reaction patterns during tilt table testing were significantly taller. This finding was detected for both females and males. No significant predictors were found in the ECG patterns of patients showing syncope during tilt table ***: Frequency of prior syncope and prodromal symptoms, and increased body length with an otherwise good state of health influence the predictive value of tilt table testing for syncope diagnosis. In particular, if these factors are present, tilt table testing should be considered part of the diagnostic algorithm for soldiers with recurrent syncope.

Monitoring concept for structural integration of PZT-fiber arrays in metal sheets:a numerical and experimental study

The technique joining by forming allows the structural integration of piezoceramic fibers into locally microstructured metal sheets without any elastic interlayers.A high-volume production of the joining partners causes in statistical deviations from the nominal dimensions.A numerical simulation on geometric process sensitivity shows that the deviations have a high significant influence on the resulting fiber stresses after the joining by forming operation and demonstrate the necessity of a monitoring *** this basis,the electromechanical behavior of piezoceramic array transducers is investigated experimentally before,during and after the joining *** piezoceramic array transducer consists of an arrangement of five electrical interconnected piezoceramic *** findings show that the impedance spectrum depends on the fiber stresses and can be used for in-process monitoring during the joining *** on the impedance values the preload state of the interconnected piezoceramic fibers can be specifically controlled and a fiber overload.
