with the expansion of urban, industry, and agriculture after world war II, eutrophication firstly emerged as a major water quality threat in small water bodies [1]. As the increasing magnitudes and scales of nutrient pollution and habitat alteration, many of the world's large lakes exhibit symptoms of eutrophication, e.g., toxic cyanobacterial blooms, deoxygenation, and habitat loss.

Brine shrimp(Artemia)has existed on Earth for 400 million years and has major ecological importance in hypersaline *** a crucial live food in aquaculture,brine shrimp cysts have become one of the most important aquatic products traded ***,our understanding of the biodiversity,prevalence and global connectedness of viruses in brine shrimp is still very limited.A total of 143 batches of brine shrimp(belonging to seven species)cysts were collected from six continents including 21 countries and more than 100 geographic locations worldwide during 1977–*** total,55 novel RNA viruses were identified,which could be assigned to 18 different viral families and related *** viruses were dsRNA viruses,16 were+ssRNA viruses,and 28 were−ssRNA *** analyses of the RNA-directed RNA polymerase(RdRp)showed that brine shrimp viruses were often grouped with viruses isolated from other invertebrates and ***,most brine shrimp viruses were related to those from different hosts that might feed on brine shrimp or share the same ecological niche.A notable case was the novel brine shrimp noda-like virus 3,which shared 79.25%(RdRp)and 63.88%(capsid proteins)amino acid identity with covert mortality nodavirus(CMNV)that may cause losses in *** addition,both virome composition and phylogenetic analyses revealed global connectedness in certain brine shrimp viruses,particularly among Asia and Northern *** highlights the incredible species diversity of viruses in these ancient species and provides essential data for the prevalence of RNA viruses in the global aquaculture *** broadly,these findings provide novel insights into the previously unrecognized RNA virosphere in hypersaline ecosystems worldwide and demonstrate that human activity might have driven the global connectedness of brine shrimp viruses.

By combining living trees and archaeological wood, the annual mean temperatures were reconstructed based on ring-width indices of the mid-eastern Tibetan Plateau for the past 2485 years. The climate variations revealed by the reconstruction indicate that there were four periods to have average tem- peratures similar to or even higher than that mean of 1970 to 2000 AD. A particularly notable rapid shift from cold to warm, we call it the "Eastern Jin Event", occurred from 348 AD to 413 AD. Calculation re- sults show that the temperature variations over the mid-eastern Tibetan Plateau are not only repre- sentative for large parts of north-central China, but also closely correspond to those of the entire Northern Hemisphere over long time scales. During the last 2485 years, the downfall of most major dynasties in China coincides with intervals of low temperature. Compared with the temperature records in other regions of China during the last 1000 years, this reconstruction from the Tibetan Plateau shows a significant warming trend after the 1950s.

BACKGROUND Violence against healthcare workers(HCws)in the Caribbean continues to prevail yet remains *** aim is to determine the cause,traits,and consequences of violence on HCws in the *** To determine the cause,traits,and consequences of violence on HCws in the *** This research adopted an online cross-sectional survey approach,spanning over eight weeks(between June 6th and August 9th,2022).The survey was generated using Research Electronic Data Capture forms and followed a snowballing strategy to contact individuals using emails,social media,text messages,*** regression analysis was performed to evaluate the variables that influence violence,including gender,age,years of experience,institution type,and night shift *** The survey was completed by 225 *** comprised 61%.Over 51%of respondents belonged to the 21 to 35 age ***(n=61),Haiti(n=50),and Grenada(n=31)had the most *** HCws(49%)worked for government academic institutions,followed by community hospitals(23%).Medical students(32%),followed by attending physicians(22%),and others(16%)comprised the most common cadre of *** 39%of the participants reported experiencing violence themselves,and 18%reported violence against colleague(s).Verbal violence(48%),emotional abuse(24%),and physical misconduct(14%)were the most common types of *** 63%of respondents identified patients or their relatives as the most frequent *** logistic regression analyses demonstrated that female gender(OR=2.08;95%CI:1.16-3.76,P=0.014)and higher frequency of night shifts(OR=2.22;95%CI:1.08-4.58,P=0.030)were associated with significantly higher odds of experiencing *** than 50%of HCws felt less motivated and had decreased job satisfaction post-violent *** A large proportion of HCwS in the Caribbean are exposed to violence,yet the phenomenon remains *** a result,HCws’job s

胆道纤维化(BF)是病理性胆道损伤修复的结果,主要表现为胆管壁的增厚硬化和管腔的进行性狭窄,最终可能导致胆道梗阻、胆汁性肝硬化、肝衰竭、肝胆恶性肿瘤等严重不良结局。目前的研究将BF描述为某些胆管病的病理特征,对其病因、病理生理、分子机制和治疗缺乏系统总结。BF是胆道系统普遍存在但容易被忽略的疾病状态,可能通过病理性胆道损伤后的异常修复机制促进肝胆疾病的发生和进展,笔者结合国内外最新研究进展,综述BF的概念、临床表现、病因、发病机制和治疗策略,为临床医师提供参考。

This article describes the development of a coalescence model using various CFD work packages,and is validated using as toluene water model *** studies were performed to describe droplet interactions in liquid–liquid test *** models use adjustable parameters to describe these *** research in the past decades led to different correlations to model coalescence and breakage depending on the chemical system and the apparatus *** the complexity of droplet coalescence requires a detailed investigation of local phenomena during the droplet *** fluid dynamics(CFD) studies of single droplet interactions were performed and validated with experimental results to improve the understanding of the local hydrodynamics and film drainage during *** CFD simulations were performed for the interaction of two differently sized droplets at industrial relevant impact *** experimental verification and validation of the numerical results were done with standardized high-speed imaging studies by using a special test cell with a pendant and a free rising *** experimental based algorithm was implemented in the open source code OpenF OAM to account for the contact time and the dimple *** standard European Federation of Chemical Engineering(EFCE) test system toluene/water was used for the numerical studies and the experimental investigations as *** results of the CFD simulations are in good accordance with the observed coalescence behavior in the experimental *** addition,a detailed description of local phenomena,like film rupture,velocity gradients,pressures and micro-droplet entrainment could be obtained.

A nonlocal continuum electrostatic model,defined as integro-differential equations,can significantly improve the classic Poisson dielectric model,but is too costly to be applied to large protein *** sharply reduce the model’s complexity,a modified nonlocal continuum electrostatic model is presented in this paper for a protein immersed in water solvent,and then transformed equivalently as a system of partial differential *** using this new differential equation system,analytical solutions are derived for three different nonlocal ionic Born models,where a monoatomic ion is treated as a dielectric continuum ball with point charge either in the center or uniformly distributed on the surface of the *** solutions are analytically verified to satisfy the original integro-differential equations,thereby,validating the new differential equation system.
