Assessment cultivated period and farm yard manure addition on some soil properties, nutrient content and wheat yield under sprinkler irrigation system

This study examined changes in some soil hydrophysical, chemical properties and wheat yield (grain;straw yield, N, P, K, Protein and carbohydrates contents) as trends under two cultivated period 10 and 25 year and Farm Yard manure (FYM) addition under sprinkler irrigation system on a newly reclaimed soils, Nubaria, Beheira Governorate, Egypt. Obtained results noticed that cultivation period has more pronounced effect than FYM addition on soil water content at field capacity, wilting point and available water with increase percent 15.1%, 9.3%;19.0% and 25.7%, 19.5% and 30.0% for FYM and cultivation period comparing with control one. Hydraulic conductivity values were strongly affected by cultivation period and FYM addition and significantly decreased values by about 18.9% and 12.1% in same sequences. Wheat straw content from protein had a superior effect under 25 than 10 years cultivated periods with values 61.9 and 6.7 comparing with control, respectively as affected by FYM addition, while FYM alone improved protein content in straw by about 31.9% comparing with untreated one. Slightly increase in straw protein content was attained relative to the increase of cultivated period by about 7.8%. Nutrients content in grain is more than FYM, where the increase percentage were 5.2%, 13.5%;3.8% and 26.5, 21.3;22.6 comparing cultivated periods 25 with 10 years and FYM addition with control, respectively. FYM individually under two studied cultivated periods is more effective under 10 years (28.0%, 25.2%;15.1%) than the 2nd one (25.1%, 25.2%;15.1%) comparing with untreated FYM plots. While N, P and K content in wheat straw had unclear trend and the increase were 6.8, 23.23;56.5% and 62.9, 6.0;29.8 as a result of FYM addition under 10 and 25 years cultivated periods, respectively. Network Coding Cooperation Performance Analysis in Wireless Network over a Lossy Channel, M Users and a Destination Scenario

Network coding (NC), introduced at the turn of the century, enables nodes in a network to combine data algebraically before either sending or forwarding them. Random network coding has gained popularity over the years by combining the received packet randomly before forwarding them, resulting in a complex Jordan Gaussian Elimination (JGE) decoding process. The effectiveness of random NC is through cooperation among nodes. In this paper, we propose a simple, low-complexity cooperative protocol that exploits NC in a deterministic manner resulting in improved diversity, data rate, and less complex JGE decoding process. The proposed system is applied over a lossy wireless network. The scenario under investigation is as follows: M users must send their information to a common destination D and to exchange the information between each others, over erasure channels;typically the channels between the users and the destination are worse than the channels between users. It is possible to significantly reduce the traffic among users and destination, achieving significant bandwidth savings, by combining packets from different users in simple, deterministic ways without resorting to extensive header information before being forwarded to the destination and the M users. The key problem we try to address is how to efficiently combine the packets at each user while exploiting user cooperation and the probability of successfully recovering information from all users at D with k < 2M unique linear equations, accounting for the fact that the remaining packets will be lost in the network and there are two transmission stages. Simulation results show the behaviour for two and three transmission stages. Our results show that applying NC protocols in two or three stages decreases the traffic significantly, beside the fact that the proposed protocols enable the system to retrieve the lost packets rather than asking for ARQ, resulting in improved data flow, and less power consumption. There are certain concerns that Saudi Arabia economy is directly association to its oil exports globally. This because each day the country produces an approximate 9 million barrels of crude oil which makes a major driver of the energy market and the global economy. Historically, Saudi Arabia has exported oil since 1939 with increasing output and capacity as well as infrastructure developments leading to the country being considered the leading oil production nation globally. The quantitative relationship between oil exports and the Saudi Arabia economy varies and therefore it is important to quantitatively evaluate the statistical relationship between these variables in order determine the economic implications of variations in oil exports. In this thesis, a quantitative study that identifies the effect of oil export on the Saudi economy using statistical models that aim to evaluate the impact of oil trade on the GDP. It employs pertinent statistical tools and time series analysis in the evaluation of the dynamic correlation between oil exports and macroeconomic variables in Saudi Arabia based on Cobb-Douglas model. The results reveal that oil exports have a significant impact on the GDP since according to the findings the Saudi GDP and crude oil exports have a statistically significant positive relationship.

Effect of drip irrigation method, nitrogen source, and flushing schedule on emitter clogging

Field experiments were carried out at the National Research Center farm, Nubaria area, Behura Governorate, Egypt, to study the effect of nitrogen source, flushing schedule and irrigation method on emitter clogging. Peanut Giza 5 variety (Arachishy pogaea L.) was planted in sandy soil during two successive growing seasons (2010-2011) in the 1st week of May and harvested after 130 days. Treatments used are: 1) two irrigation methods: surface drip irrigation and sub-surface drip irrigation (SDI;SSDI), 2) nitrogen source (NS):NH4NO3, (NH4)2SO4 and Ca(NO3)2 (NS1, NS2 and NS3) and 3) flushing number (FL) 0, 1 and 4 (FL1, FL2;FL3). The experiments design was split-split plot and three replicates were used. Data obtained were subjected to statistical analysis. The main effects of treatments used on clogging per cent could be written the following ascending orders: SDI 3 2 1, NS1 2 3. Concerning the 1st interaction the following ascending orders denote their effects on clogging percent: SDI × FL3 2 1, SDI × NS1 2 3, SSDI × FL3 2 1, SSDI × NS1 2 3, FL1 × NS1 1 × NS2 1 × NS3, FL2 × NS1 2 × NS2 2 × NS3 and FL3 × NS1 3 × NS2 3 × NS3. The differences between any two treatments and/or any two interactions in clogging percent were significant at the 5% level. The effect of the 2nd interaction on clogging percent was significant at the 5% level. The maximum value of clogging (20.18%) and the lowest one (3.9%) were archived in the interactions: SSDI × FL1 × NS3 and SDI × FL3 × NS1, respectively.

Low back pain (LBP) is primarily managed in general practice and commonly underestimated or misdiagnosed by physicians. This article presents comprehensive review for diagnosis and evaluation of LBP according to current clinical studies guidelines. Our objectives are to define LBP, to establish how to take a detailed history and how to physically examine it in order to enable physicians to make an appropriate differential diagnosis for LBP, and to identify relevant investigations and referrals of patients with LBP. The article first offers a quick description of inflammatory back pain then discusses the importance of screening red flag patients with LBP and the importance of its early detection. Finally, we summarize how to outline a primary plan for managing and treating LBP. The article is prepared in the format of question and answer to make it targeted and accessible.

Effect of closed circuits drip irrigation system and lateral lines length on growth, yield, quality and water use efficiency of soybean crop

Field experiment was conducted for one growing season (2012) in clay loam soil at the Experimental Farm of Faculty of Agriculture, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC), USA on soybean crop to study the effect of: 1) the closed drip irrigation system: closed circuits with one and two a manifolds for lateral lines (CM1DIS;CM2DIS) and traditional drip irrigation system (TDIS) as a control;and 2) lateral lines length (LLL): LLL1, LLL2 and LLL3 (40, 60,80 m) on soybean growth, yield, oil, protein content and water use efficiency. Plants were drip irrigated every 4 days. N, K2O and P2O5 fertilizers were added via irrigation water. Data obtained could be outlined as follows: 1) According to the mean values of soybean crop growth (leaf area;plant height), yield (grain and straw), both oil and protein content and water use efficiency, the treatment used could be ranked in the following ascending orders: TDIS < CM1DIS < CM2DIS and LLL3 < LLL2 < LLL1;2) Differences in the means of the studied data among treatments used were significant at the 1% level;3) The effects of the DIC × LLL on the data obtained were significant at the 1 % level;And 4) the highest values of the obtained data and the lowest ones were achieved in the following interactions: CM2DIS × LLL1;TDIS × LLL3, respectively.

This work represents the first detailed study of an oil shale (OS) section from the Upper Campanian Amman Silicified Limestone (ASL) Formation in south-western part of Jordan. More than five meters of oil shale have been recorded. Using the petrography and geochemistry, this study aims to focus on such non-conventional types of oil shale rocks in Jordan and to shed some light on their composition and formational environment. Unlike oil shale from Maastrichtian to early Tertiary, this type of oil shale is highly dolomitized. The dolomite is diagenetic in origin. This oil shale type contains considerable amount of OM and remarkably enriched in some trace elements and shows quite low sulfur content. Results suggest that the formation of dolomite appears to be limited by the rate of organic matter oxidation.

Involvement of Quebracho tannins in diet alters productive and reproductive efficiency of postpartum buffalo cows

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of 10 weeks supplementation of Quebracho tannins(QT; 0 [control], 100 [QT100] or 200 g/[cow$d] [QT_(200)]) to 30 multiparous postpartum buffalo cows(10 cows per group) on milk yield and composition, blood metabolites and reproductive *** of QT100 had no significant effect on milk yield, whereas QT_(200) decreased(P < 0.05) this trait. Compared with the control group, both QT levels decreased(P < 0.05) fat-corrected milk(FCM)yield, but no significant effects were found on percentages of milk fat and protein. Contrariwise, yields of milk fat, lactose and milk protein were decreased(P < 0.05) when QT_(200) was supplemented. The solids nonfat(SNF) percentage and yield were decreased(P < 0.05) with QT100 supplementation. Moreover, QT tended to numerically reduce total number of ovarian follicles, number of small follicles, peripheral progesterone concentration and conception rate. Supplementation of QT_(200) numerically increased number of large follicles, mean diameter of large follicle, number and diameters of corpora lutea. The inclusion of QT_(200) shortened days open(DO) and decreased number of services per ***, QT did not show significant effects on serum total protein, albumin, globulin, glucose,cholesterol and triglycerides concentrations. Supplementation of QT100 caused an increase(P < 0.05) of serum urea compared with that in control and QT_(200) groups. Generally, QT decreased(P < 0.05) serum creatinine concentration. Therefore, the supplementation of a commercial QT to early lactating Egyptian buffalo cows displayed negative consequences on their productive and reproductive performances.

DroidData: Tracking and Monitoring Data Transmission in the Android Operating System

Most of the millions of Android users worldwide use applications from the official Android market (Google Play store) and unregulated alternative markets to get more functionality from their devices. Many of these applications transmit sensitive data stored on the device, either maliciously or accidentally, to outside networks. In this paper, we will study the ways that Android applications transmit data to outside servers and propose a user-friendly application, DroidData, to inform and protect the user from these security risks. We will use tools such as TaintDroid, AppIntent, and Securacy to propose an application that reveals what types of data are being transmitted from apps, the location to which the data is being transmitted, whether the data is being transmitted through a secure channel (such as HTTPS) and whether the user is aware that the information is being transmitted. The application will generate a report that allows the user to block the application that leaks sensitive information. In doing so, we will examine the importance, relevance, and prevalence of these Android Data security issues.
