Analysis of Wind Power Assessment Based on the WRF Model

Assessing wind energy is a key step in selecting a site for a wind farm. The accuracy of the assessment is essential for the future operation of the wind farm. There are two main methods for assessing wind power: one is based on observational data and the other relies on mesoscale numerical weather prediction(NWP). In this study, the wind power of the Liaoning coastal wind farm was evaluated using observations from an anemometer tower and simulations by the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) model, to see whether the WRF model can produce a valid assessment of the wind power and whether the downscaling process can provide a better evaluation. The paper presents long-term wind data analysis in terms of annual, seasonal, and diurnal variations at the wind farm, which is located on the east coast of Liaoning Province. The results showed that, in spring and summer, the wind speed, wind direction, wind power density, and other main indicators were consistent between the two methods. However, the values of these parameters from the WRF model were significantly higher than the observations from the anemometer tower. Therefore, the causes of the differences between the two methods were further analyzed. There was much more deviation in the original material, National Centers for Environmental Prediction(NCEP) final(FNL) Operational Global Analysis data, in autumn and winter than in spring and summer. As the region is vulnerable to cold-air outbreaks and windy weather in autumn and winter, and the model usually forecasted stronger high or low systems with a longer duration, the predicted wind speed from the WRF model was too large.

A new cluster {Mo3S4[NH2CH2CH(O)CH2NH2]3}(DTP)?(H2O)2?(DMF) (DTP = diethyldithiophosphate) has been synthesized via ligand substitution reaction of Mo3S4(DTP)4(H2O) with an alkaline ligand 1,3-diamino-2-propanol(DAPROH) in a mixed organic solvent, and its crys- tal structure was determined with the following data: Mo3S6PC16H48O8N7, Mr = 977.76, triclinic, space group P1, Z = 2, a = 10.319(2), b = 12.843(3), c = 15.335(3) ?, α = 65.26(3), β = 82.18(3), γ = 70.67(3)o, V = 1741.7(6) ?3, Dc = 1.864 g/cm3, μ = 1.517 mm-1, F(000) = 988, the final R = 0.0794 and wR = 0.2111 for 6318 observed reflections (I>2σ(I)). The structure analysis indicates that all DTP ligands of Mo3S4(DTP)4(H2O) are replaced and each DAPRO molecule acts as a tri- dentate ligand chelating to each Mo atom of the Mo3S4 core. Different from the precursor, the clus- ter symmetry is elevated to C3. In addition, the UV-spectrum of the title compound was measured.

Reconstruction of the thoracic tracheal defects with portions of deepithelialized myocutaneous flaps after resection of a large tumor

Objective： To study the possibility of using portions of deepithelialized myocutaneous flaps to the reconstruction of thoracic tracheal defects after resection of a large tumor. Methods： From June 2007 to June 2012, five cases of defects of the thoracic trachea were reconstructed by applying portions of deepithelialized myocutaneous flaps. The patients were 27-61 years old with 4 male cases and 1 female. The cervical trachea ranged in diameter from 4-8.5 cm with circumferences of approximately 1/3-2/5 of the bronchial circumference. Results： M1 five patients with thoracic tracheal defects after resection of a large tumor were cured of portions of deepithelialized myocutaneous flaps, with no tracheal stricture remaining and vomica successfully eliminated. During the first 1 to 3 months after the operation, bronchoscopy showed that the tracheal lumens were smooth, and the visible skin of the musculocutaneous flaps became gray and exhibited a small amount of white discharge. Conclusions： Despite this being a small series and short follow-up, this thoracic tracheal reconstruction with portions of deepithelialized myocutaneous flaps shows encouraging preliminary results and could be an alternative to other methods for the treatment of carefully selected patients with thoracic tracheal defects.

There is an urgent demand to explore new approaches of improving the electric breakdown strength of the ferroelectric thin-film capacitor without the degradation of the high dielectric *** this work,LaNiO_(3)/Ba_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)TiO_(3)(LNO/BST) thin film and SrTiO_(3)(STO)/LNO/BST/SrTiO_(3)(STO) were prepared by using radio frequency(RF) magnetron sputtering technique and ultrathin STO insulator layers were inserted between the LNO/BST and metal electrodes(Au or Pt) to improve the electric breakdown strength and the leakage current of the LNO/BST thin film.X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) investigations revealed that these multilayer thin films show compact,smooth and uniform *** leakage current density of STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film was decreased by one order of magnitude and breakdown strength of STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film was enhanced from 0.72 to 1.26 MV-cm-1compared with that of LNO/BST thin ***,the dielectric constant of the STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film keeps at the same level as that of LNO/BST thin film,and dielectric loss of the STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film was decreased slightly compared with that of LNO/BST thin film.

TNBA作为一种新型含能材料,其具有高爆速,低敏感性的特点,为了研究TNBA在二元溶剂中的生长形貌,本研究采用附着能(AE)模型来预测TNBA在真空中的晶体形貌,同时采用改进附着能(MAE)模型和分子动力学(MD)方法,预测了TNBA晶体在四种不同二元溶剂中二甲基甲醇(IPA)/丙酮(AC)、IPA/二甲基亚砜(DMSO)、IPA/乙酸乙酯(EA)和IPA/水(H_(2)O)的晶体形貌.结果表明,TNBA晶体在真空中的形态为不规则的多面体,由六个重要的主生长晶面构成,分别为(100)、(110)、(011)、(11-1)、(10-2)和(002),其中(100)面所占比例最大,达到33.766%.在IPA/DMSO和PA/EA溶剂中重结晶得到的晶体为块状,在IPA/AC和IPA/H_(2)O为棒状.总而言之,IPA/DMSO和IPA/EA溶剂更适合TNBA晶体重结晶选择.

THE EFFECT OF SAMPLE OPTIMIZATION ON THE ENSEMBLE KALMAN FILTER IN FORECASTING TYPHOON RAMMASUN(2014)

In a limited number of ensembles, some samples do not adequately reflect the true atmospheric state and can in turn affect forecast performance. This study explored the feasibility of sample optimization using the ensemble Kalman filter(EnKF) for a simulation of the 2014 Super Typhoon Rammasun, which made landfall in southern China in July 2014. Under the premise of sufficient ensemble spread, keeping samples with a good fit to observations and eliminating those with poor fit can affect the performance of En KF. In the sample optimization, states were selected based on the sample spatial correlation between the ensemble state and observations. The method discarded ensemble states that were less representative and, to maintain the overall ensemble size, generated new ensemble states by reproducing them from ensemble states with a good fit by adding random noise. Sample selection was performed based on radar echo data. Results showed that applying En KF with optimized samples improved the estimated track, intensity,precipitation distribution, and inner-core structure of Typhoon Rammasun. Therefore, the authors proposed that distinguishing between samples with good and poor fits is vital for ensemble prediction, suggesting that sample optimization is necessary to the effective use of En KF.

Controllable SiO2 coating layer of FeSiBPNb amorphous powder cores with excellent soft magnetic properties

Amorphous powder cores based on spherical （Fe0.76Si0.09B0.1P0.05）99Nb1 amorphous powder and their SiO2 layer prepared by in situ coating insulation process were investigated in detAll. These cores were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analyses, and the results revealed that the surface layer of the amorphous powder was composed of SiO2 with uniform surface coverage. The thickness of the SiO2 insulating layer could be controlled by adjusting the tetraethyl orthosilicate （TEOS） content. By cold-pressing with epoxy resin under a pressure of 1800 MPa, a ring powder core with an outer diameter of 20.3 ram, inner diameter of 12.7 mm, and height of 5.3 mm was prepared. The FeSiBPNb composite core showed its best properties when the TEOS content was 2 mL/g （the volume of TEOS for each gram of （Fe0.76Si0.09B0.1P0.05）99Nb1 amorphous powder, mL/g）, which showed good relative permeability in the high-frequency range of up to 10 MHz and a low core loss of 320 W/kg under the maximum magnetic flux density of 0.1 T and frequency of 100 kHz.

Nowadays,ensemble forecasting is popular in numerical weather prediction(NWP).However,an ensemble may not produce a perfect Gaussian probability distribution due to limited members and the fact that some members significantly deviate from the true atmospheric ***,event samples with small probabilities may downgrade the accuracy of an ensemble *** this study,the evolution of tropical storms(weak typhoon)was investigated and an observed tropical storm track was used to limit the probability distribution of *** ensemble forecast method used pure observation data instead of assimilated *** addition,the prediction results for three tropical storm systems,Merbok,Mawar,and Guchol,showed that track and intensity errors could be reduced through sample *** the research,the vertical structures of these tropical storms were compared,and the existence of different thermal structures was *** possible reason for structural differences is sample optimization,and it may affect storm intensity and track.

Variations in Laboratory-Scale Actinomycete Communities Exposed to Cadmium as Assessed by Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis Profiles

The actinomycete populations and functions in cadmium （Cd） contaminated soil were investigated by the cultivation- independent molecular methods. The genomic DNA was extracted and purified from soil adulterated with various con- centrations of Cd in the laboratory. The partial 16S rDNA genes were amplified by polymerase chain reaction （PCR） using specific primers bound to evolutionarily conserved regions within these actinomycete genes. The diversity in PCR- amplified products, as measured by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis （EGGE）, was used as a genetic fingerprint of the population. Principle component analysis and Shannon-Weaver diversity index （H） analyses were used to analyze the DGGE results. Results showed that the two principal components accounted for only a low level of the total variance. The value H in contaminated soil was lower than that in the control at later stages of cultivation, whereas at earlier stages it was higher. Among the six sampling time points, the first, fifth and sixth weeks had the highest values of H. Significantly negative correlations between bioavallable Cd concentration and H values existed in the samples from weeks 2 （R = 0.929, P 〈 0.05） and 4 （R = 0.909, P 〈 0.05）. These results may shed light on the effect of Cd on the soil environment and the chemical behavior and toxicity of Cd to actinomycetes.
