magnetic,dielectric and electrical modulus of Ce^(3+) doped cobalt-magnesium ferrite nanoparticles

In this work,the magnetic,dielectric properties and electric modulus of Ce^(3+) substituted cobaltmagnesium(Co_(0.7)mg_(0.3)Ce_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_4)(labeled as CmCF) ferrite nanoparticles were investigated in detail.Saturation magnetization decreases from 50.05 to 34.87 emu/g for further substituting Ce^(3+) ions.meanwhile,coercivity increases from 738.22 Gs for the CmCFO sample to 912.10 Gs for the CmCF2 sample,then decreases monotonically to 762.1 Gs for the CmCF5 sample.The cerium content and particle size play important roles in controlling the magnetization and coercivity of the CmCF nanoparticles.All CmCF nanoferrites are suitable for microwave applications since their high-frequency response ranges from 7.72 to 11.07 GHz.The CmCF nanoferrites' dielectric parameter dispersion exhibits normal behavior.The pristine Co-mg nanoferrite only has ε' value of 28.25,but the nanoferrite mCmF2 has ε' value of365.03,with an enhancing ratio of 1192%.The conduction mechanism of the mCmF nanoferrites was determined by fitting the σ_(ac) results via the Jonscher power law.At 653 K,large polaron tunnelling is thought to be responsible for this conduction process,which is followed by electron barrier hopping at higher temperatures.Cole-Cole diagrams at different temperatures,assuring the contributions of the grains and their boundaries at lower temperatures(653 K) and only the grains at higher temperatures.Based on our results,the CmCF nanoferrites hold magnetic and semiconducting nature,which can be used in magnetic devices and dielectrics in lower-frequencies or conductors in higher-frequencies.

A pair of unidirectional turbines(UT)can operate in oscillatory airflow without additional units.However,this arrangement suffers from poor flow rectification.A fluidic diode(FD)offers variable hydrodynamic resistance based on the flow direction,and this can be coupled with UT to improve flow rectification.In this work,a numerical investigation on the effect of FD with UT is presented using the commercial fluid dynamics software ANSYS Fluent 16.1 with k-ωSST turbulence closure model.Periodic domains of UT and FD are numerically validated individually with experimental results.Later,both are coupled to obtain the combined effect,and these results are compared with the analytical approach.It was observed that coupling FD with UT improved the unit's performance at the lower flow coefficient(mance decreased as the flow coefficient increased.Due to the diode's presence,fluid leaving the turbine experiences higher resistance at a higher flow coefficient,which decreases the overall performance of the combined unit.

Cytokine profile in Egyptian hepatitis C virus genotype-4 in relation to liver disease progression

AIm: To observe the imbalance between T helper cell Th1 and Th2 cytokines in several chronic hepatitis disease at different stages of disease progression.mETHODS: We measured the cytokine levels of Th1 (IL-2 and IL-2R), Th2 (IL-10) and the pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6 and IL-6R and TNF and TNF-RⅠ and Ⅱ)by the elISA technique in the sera of 33 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients and 20 chronic liver disease (CLD) patients. In addition, 20 asymptomatic hepatitis C virus carriers and 20 healthy subjects negative for hepatitis C virus(HCV) markers served as controls.RESULTS: Anti-HCV antibodies were found to be positive in 94% of HCC cases and 75% of CLD cases.On the other hand, HCV viremia was detected using RTPCR in 67% of HCC cases and 65% of CLD cases. HBsAg was positive in 9% of HCC cases and 30% of CLD cases.Also bilharzial-Ab was positive in 55% of HCC cases,65% of CLD cases and in 70% of asymptomatic carriers (ASC). HCC patients had significantly higher values of IL-2R, TNF-RⅡ (P＜0.001), and TNF-RⅠ (P＞0.05), but lower TNFα (P＜0.001) and IL-6 (P = 0.032) in comparison to ASC. But, in comparison to non-cancer controls, HCC patients had higher values of IL-2R, IL-6R, TNF-RⅠ and TNF-RⅡ, but lower TNF-α (P＜0.001). CLD patients had higher IL-2R, TNF-RⅠ, and TNF-RⅡ (P＜0.001) than ASC. But, in comparison to non-cancer controls, CLD patients had higher values of IL-2R, TNF-RⅠ and TNF-RⅡ, but lower TNF-α (P＜0.001). IL-10 was higher (though not significantly) in HCC and CLD patients than in symptomatic carriers and non-cancer controls.CONCLUSION: Liver disease progression from CLD to HCC due to HCV genotype-4 infection is associated with an imbalance between Th1 and Th2 cytokines. IL-2R,TNF-RⅠ, and TNF-RⅡ could be used as potential markers.

Turning Trash into Treasure: Developing an Intelligent Bin for Plastic Bottle Recycling

Plastic pollution has emerged as a major global concern due to its enduring nature and limited recycling options.In response to this critical challenge,this paper presents a novel approach utilizing a Detection-Based Reward System(DBRS)alongside an innovative business model to promote effective plastic waste management,reduce plastic waste accumulation in the nature,and uphold environmental cleanliness.Leveraging the YOLOv5 algorithm for its exceptional accuracy,speed,and open-source availability,plastic bottle detection becomes a pivotal aspect of this system.Users seamlessly enroll in the system,triggering an automated detection process that computes reward points corresponding to their deposited plastic bottles.These reward points are meticulously stored within a centralized database.Beyond its operational facets,this comprehensive system encompasses a robust business model,strategically poised to capture widespread engagement with waste disposal practices,thereby contributing to the realization of Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)geared towards fostering a healthier environment.Notably,the DBRS attains cutting-edge performance in plastic bottle detection,boasting an impressive mean Average Precision(mAP)of 0.973,underscoring its efficacy in tackling plastic pollution.

Repercussion of salinity on hematological parameters and tissue morphology of gill and kidney at early life of tilapia

This study was attempted to reveal the changes in three hematological parameters such as blood hemoglobin,number of white blood cells(WBCs)and number of red blood cells(RBCs)and one biochemical(e.g.,glucose)parameter along with the changes in histomorphological structures of gills and kidney of Nile tilapia fry reared in saline water.Two experimental set up were used for two different age groups-5 days-after-hatch(5DAH)and 15 days-after-hatch(15DAH)-to test a novel hypothesis:if a little difference in the age during the first exposure to saline water could produce any variation in the results.They were placed into 6 plastic drums having six different salinity levels:0,5,10,15,20 and 25.After 60 days,at least 5 individuals were taken out from each drum to observe the above-hematological and histomorphological parameters.A two-way-ANOVA revealed that,except for hemoglobin,all the observed parameters have been affected the effect of age×salinity interaction(Pmong various salinity levels,only RBC and WBC counts differed significantly.Further,the mean glucose value,RBC counts and WBC count at different salinities differed significantly from the base mean value of each parameter.With regard to the histomorphological structure of the gills and kidney,various malformations were evident.Though hypertrophy,epithelial uplifting and epithelial necrosis were present as gill degenerations,hyperplasia was prevalent across almost all salinity levels.On the other hand,glomerular necrosis,pyknotic nucleus,hyaline droplets degeneration,shrinking of the glomeruli,etc.were observed in kidney structures.By assisting to understand the effects of salinity stress,all these data on tilapia fry will help to determine the prospects and scope of culturing the species in high-salinity water.

An Efficient Encryption and Compression of Sensed IoT medical Images Using Auto-Encoder

Healthcare systems nowadays depend on IoT sensors for sending data over the internet as a common practice.Encryption ofmedical images is very important to secure patient information.Encrypting these images consumes a lot of time onedge computing;therefore,theuse of anauto-encoder for compressionbefore encodingwill solve such a problem.In this paper,we use an auto-encoder to compress amedical image before encryption,and an encryption output(vector)is sent out over the network.On the other hand,a decoder was used to reproduce the original image back after the vector was received and decrypted.Two convolutional neural networks were conducted to evaluate our proposed approach:The first one is the auto-encoder,which is utilized to compress and encrypt the images,and the other assesses the classification accuracy of the image after decryption and decoding.Different hyperparameters of the encoder were tested,followed by the classification of the image to verify that no critical information was lost,to test the encryption and encoding resolution.In this approach,sixteen hyperparameter permutations are utilized,but this research discusses three main cases in detail.The first case shows that the combination of mean Square Logarithmic Error(mSLE),ADAgrad,two layers for the auto-encoder,and RelU had the best auto-encoder results with a mean Absolute Error(mAE)=0.221 after 50 epochs and 75%classification with the best result for the classification algorithm.The second case shows the reflection of auto-encoder results on the classification results which is a combination ofmean Square Error(mSE),RmSprop,three layers for the auto-encoder,and RelU,which had the best classification accuracy of 65%,the auto-encoder gives mAE=0.31 after 50 epochs.The third case is the worst,which is the combination of the hinge,RmSprop,three layers for the auto-encoder,and RelU,providing accuracy of 20%and mAE=0.485.

BACKGROUND Patients who undergo living donor liver transplantation(LDLT)may suffer complications that require intensive care unit(ICU)readmission.AIm To identify the incidence,causes,and outcomes of ICU readmission after LDLT.mETHODS A retrospective cohort study was conducted on patients who underwent LDLT.The collected data included patient demographics,preoperative characteristics,intraoperative details;postoperative stay,complications,causes of ICU readmission,and outcomes.Patients were divided into two groups according to ICU readmission after hospital discharge.Risk factors for ICU readmission were identified in univariate and multivariate analyses.RESULTS The present study included 299 patients.Thirty-one(10.4%)patients were readmitted to the ICU after discharge.Patients who were readmitted to the ICU were older in age(53.0±5.1 vs 49.4±8.8,P=0.001)and had a significantly higher percentage of women(29%vs 13.4%,P=0.032),diabetics(41.9%vs 24.6%,P=0.039),hypertensives(22.6%vs 6.3%,P=0.006),and renal(6.5%vs 0%,P=0.010)patients as well as a significantly longer initial ICU stay(6 vs 4 d,respectively,Pmission included recipient age(OR=1.048,95%CI=1.005-1.094,P=0.030)and length of initial hospital stay(OR=0.836,95%CI=0.789-0.885,Pmay help provide optimal care and tailor follow-up to reduce the rate of ICU readmission.

Damage response of conventionally reinforced two-way spanning concrete slab under eccentric impacting drop weight loading

Reinforced concrete(RC)structures are generally designed to carry quasi-static gravity loads through almost indispensable components namely slab,however,it may be subjected to high intense loads induced from the impact of projectiles generated by the tornado,falling construction equipment,and also from accidental explosions during their construction and service lifespan.Impacts due to rock/boulder falls do occur on the structures located especially in hilly areas.Such loadings are not predictable but may cause severe damage to the slab/structure.It stimulates structural engineers and researchers to investigate and understand the dynamic response of RC structures under such impulsive loading.This research work first investigates the performance of 1000×1000×75 mm^(3)conventionally reinforced two-way spanning normal strength concrete slab with only tension reinforcement(0.88%)under the concentric impact load(1035 N)using the finite element method based computer code,ABAQUS/Explicit-v.6.15.The impact load is delivered to the centroid of the slab using a solid-steel cylindroconical impactor(drop weight)with a flat nose of diameter 40 mm,having a total mass of 105 kg released from a fixed height of 2500 mm.Two popular concrete constitutive models in ABAQUS namely;Holmquist-Johnson-Cook(HJC)and Concrete Damage Plasticity(CDP),with strain rate effects as per fib mODel CODE 2010,are used to model the concrete material behavior to impact loading and to simulate the damage to the slab.The slab response using these two models is analyzed and compared with the impact test results.The strain rate effect on the reinforcing steel bars has been incorporated in the analysis using the malvar and Crawford(1998)approach.A classical elastoplastic kinematic idealization is considered to model the steel impactor and support system.Results reveal that the HJC model gives a little overestimation of peak displacement,maximum acceleration,and damage of the slab while the predictions given by the CDP model are in reasonable agreement with t

Pharmacological insights into Chukrasia velutina bark:Experimental and computer-aided approaches

Background:Chukrasia velutina is an enthnomedicinally used plant reported to have significant medicinal values.The present study aimed to explore the pharmacological activities of bark methanol extract using in vitro,in vivo and in silico models.methods:The study was designed to investigate the pharmacological effects of methanol extract of Chukrasia velutina bark(mECVB)through in vitro,in vivo and in silico assays.Analgesic activity was tested using formalin-i nduced nociception and acetic acid-i nduced writhing assays while the antipyretic effect was tested using yeast-i nduced hyperthermia in mice model.The antioxidant effect was tested using the DPPH and reducing power assay and the cytotoxic screening was tested using the brine shrimp lethality bioassay.In addition,in silico studies were conducted using computer aided methods.Results:In the acetic acid-i nduced writhing assay,the extract showed 28.36%and 56.16%inhibition of writhing for doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg,respectively.moreover,a dose-dependent formalin-i nduced licking response was observed in both early and late phase.In yeast-i nduced pyrexia,the mECVB exhibited(pmonstrated an ICvalue of 78.86μg/ml compared with ascorbic acid(IC23.53μg/ml)in the DPPH scavenging assay.The compounds sitosterol,5,7-dimethoxycoumarin and scopoletin were seen be effective in molecular docking scores against COX-I(2OYE),COX-II(6COX)and human peroxiredoxin 5(1HD2).In ADmE/T analysis,5,7-dimethoxycoumarin and scopoletin satisfied Lipinski’s rule of five and thus are potential drug candidates.Conclusion:The bark of Chukrasia velutina showed significant analgesic and antipyretic properties and is a potential source of natural anti-oxidative agents.
