Quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries(QSSLMBs)assembled with polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)are a promising class of next-generation rechargeable batteries due to their safety,high energy density,and superior interfacial ***,PVDF has a series of inherent drawbacks such as low ionic conductivity,ease of crystallization,and hydrophobic character that leading to poor cell *** tackle these issues,a lignin-reinforced PVDF electrolyte is proposed in this work to solve these drawbacks of PVDF and enhance the comprehensive performance of *** lithophilic polar groups of lignin can promote uniform deposition of Li on the *** with the improved mechanical properties can efficiently prevent Li dendrites penetration through the *** addition,more active sites provided by lignin can also enhance Li^(+)transport and lead to a faster electrochemical reaction *** from the ingenious design,Li symmetric cells with 5%lignin-PVDF quasi-solid-state electrolyte can operate for 900 h at a high current density/capacity of 5 mA·cm^(-2)/5 mAh·cm^(-2),while shortcircuiting occurs after 56 h for the counterpart(pure PVDF).Moreover,a full cell of Li/5%lignin-PVDF/LFP cell demonstrates a high capacity of 96.2 mAh·g^(-1)after 2000 cycles at 10 *** work is expected to open up promising opportunities to develop other high-energy/power-density QSSLMBs.

Preparation of Tartary Buckwheat Seed Coating Agent and Its Effect on Germination

To mitigate the wastage of seed resources and reduce the usage of pesticides and fertilizers, seed coating agentshave gained popularity. This study employs single-factor and multi-index orthogonal experimental design methodsto investigate the seed coating formula and physical properties of Tartary buckwheat. The specific effects ofeach component on Tartary buckwheat seed germination are analyzed. The findings reveal that the seed coatingagent formulated with 1.5% polyvinyl alcohol, 0.15% sodium alginate, 0.2% op-10, 0.1% polyacrylamide, 8% colorant,3% ammonium sulfate, 1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and 0.15% carbendazim exhibits the mosteffective coating. It demonstrates optimal physical properties and promotes seed germination efficiently. The suspensionrate of this seed coating agent reaches 91.12%, with a mere 2.13% coating shedding rate and 2.5% coatingseed rot rate. Furthermore, it achieves a germination percentage of 99.17%, which is 20.84% higher than the lowestgroup. The germination potential and index are also significantly higher than the lowest group, with anincrease of 20.84% and 26.56%, respectively. Additionally, the vitality index is 553.08, a 15.75% increase comparedto the lowest group. The application of seed coating agents helps reduce seed resource loss, increase plant numbers,and ultimately enhance agricultural yields. This finding holds practical significance in agriculturalproduction.

Sulfuric acid leaching of high iron-bearing zinc calcine was investigated to assess the effects of sulfuric acid concentration, liquid-to-solid ratio, leaching time, leaching temperature, and the stirring speed on the leaching rates of zinc and iron. The results showed that the sulfuric acid concentration, liquid-to-solid ratio, leaching time, and leaching temperature strongly influenced the leaching of zinc and iron, whereas stirring speed had little influence. Zinc was mainly leached and the leaching rate of iron was low when the sulfuric acid concentration was less than 100 g/L. At sulfuric acid concentrations higher than 100 g/L, the leaching rate of iron increased quickly with increasing sulfuric acid concentration. This behavior is attributed to iron-bearing minerals such as zinc ferrite in zinc calcine dissolving at high temperatures and high sulfuric acid concentrations but not at low temperatures and low sulfuric acid concentrations.
