Segment Anything Model(SAM)is a cutting-edge model that has shown impressive performance in general object *** birth of the segment anything is a groundbreaking step towards creating a universal intelligent *** to its superior performance in general object segmentation,it quickly gained attention and *** makes SAM particularly attractive in industrial surface defect segmentation,especially for complex industrial scenes with limited training ***,its segmentation ability for specific industrial scenes remains ***,in this work,we select three representative and complex industrial surface defect detection scenarios,namely strip steel surface defects,tile surface defects,and rail surface defects,to evaluate the segmentation performance of *** results show that although SAM has great potential in general object segmentation,it cannot achieve satisfactory performance in complex industrial *** test results are available at:https://***/VDT-2048/SAM-IS.

Four rare earth inorganic-organic hybrid compounds based on Keggin-type polyoxometalate {SiW_(12)}with general formula [{RE(DMF)_(4)(H_(2)O)_4RE(DMF)_(6)}_(2){SiW_(12)O_(40)}_(3)](RE = La(1),Pr(2),Sm(3),Eu(4),DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide) were synthesized by the conventional solution *** analyses indicate that four compounds are isostructural and are all built from three [SiW_(12)O_(40)]^(4-) polyoxoanions and DMF ligands linked by RE^(3+).Compounds 1-4 are extremely sensitive to UV light and present excellent photochromic properties,in which the coloring and fading time of samples are both no more than 2 min,and the reversible coloring-fading process can be repeated for at least 10 cycles with little fatigue,suggesting that compounds 1-4 can be a series of fast-responsive and durable photochromic ***,the solid-state photoluminescence spectra of compounds 3(Sm) and 4(Eu)display strong characteristic emissions of rare earth ions based on f-f ***,compound4(Eu) has a longer fluorescence lifetime up to 566.74 μ***,co mpounds 3(Sm) and 4(Eu) exhibit the switchable luminescence behavior induced by photochromism,which allows them to be used as potential molecular switches.

An effective and reliable prediction of the remaining useful life(RUL)of a tool is important to a metal forming process because it can significantly reduce unexpected maintenance,avoid machine shutdowns and increase system *** study proposes a new data-driven approach to the RUL prediction for metal forming processes under multiple contact sliding *** data-driven approach took advantage of bidirectional long short-term memory(BLSTM)and convolutional neural networks(CNN).A pre-trained lightweight CNN-based network,WearNet,was re-trained to classify the wear states of workpiece surfaces with a high accuracy,then the classification results were passed into a BLSTM-based regression model as inputs for RUL *** experimental results demonstrated that this approach was able to predict the RUL values with a small error(below 5%)and a low root mean square error(RMSE)(around 1.5),which was more superior and robust than the other state-of-the-art methods.

Joint training with local soft attention and dual cross-neighbor label smoothing for unsupervised person re-identiﬁcation

Existing unsupervised person re-identification approaches fail to fully capture theﬁne-grained features of local regions,which can result in people with similar appearances and different identities being assigned the same label after *** identity-independent information contained in different local regions leads to different levels of local *** address these challenges,joint training with local soft attention and dual cross-neighbor label smoothing(DCLS)is proposed in this ***,the joint training is divided into global and local parts,whereby a soft attention mechanism is proposed for the local branch to accurately capture the subtle differences in local regions,which improves the ability of the re-identiﬁcation model in identifying a person’s local signiﬁcant ***,DCLS is designed to progressively mitigate label noise in different local *** DCLS uses global and local similarity metrics to semantically align the global and local regions of the person and further determines the proximity association between local regions through the cross information of neighboring regions,thereby achieving label smoothing of the global and local regions throughout the training *** extensive experiments,the proposed method outperformed existing methods under unsupervised settings on several standard person re-identiﬁcation datasets.

We concentrate on the skin effects and topological properties in the multilayer non-Hermitian Su−Schrieffer−Heeger (SSH) structure, by taking into account the nonreciprocal couplings between the different sublattices in the unit cells. Following the detailed demonstration of the theoretical method, we find that in this system, the skin effects and topological phase transitions induced by nonreciprocal couplings display the apparent parity effect, following the increase of the layer number of this SSH structure. On the one hand, the skin effect is determined by the parity of the layer number of this SSH system, as well as the parity of the band index of the bulk states. On the other hand, for the topological edge modes, such an interesting parity effect can also be observed clearly. Next, when the parameter disorders are taken into account, the zero-energy edge modes in the odd-layer structures tend to be more robust, whereas the other edge modes are easy to be destroyed. In view of these results, it can be ascertained that the findings in this work promote to understand the influences of nonreciprocal couplings on the skin effects and topological properties in the multilayer SSH lattices.

Esophageal cancer(ESC)is a malignant tumor that originates from the mucosal epithelium of the esophagus and is part of the digestive *** the exact pathogenesis of ESC has not been fully elucidated,excessive oxidative stress is an important characteristic that leads to the development of many *** expression of several proteins and transcription factors contributes to oxidative stress in ESCs,which alters the growth and proliferation of ESCs and promotes their *** compounds,including alkaloids,terpenes,polyphenols,and xanthine compounds,can inhibit reactive oxygen species production in *** compounds reduce oxidative stress levels and subsequently inhibit the oc-currence and progression of ESC through the regulation of targets and pathways such as the cytokine interleukins 6 and 10,superoxide dismutase,the NF-+ACY-kappa+ADs-B/MAPK pathway,and the mammalian Nrf2/ARE target ***,targeting tumor oxidative stress has become a key focus in anti-ESC *** review discusses the potential of Natural products(NPs)for treating ESCs and summarizes the application prospects of oxidative stress as a new target for ESC *** findings of this review provide a reference for drug development targeting ***,further high-quality studies will be necessary to determine the clinical efficacy of these various NPs.

This paper presents an efficient scheme for single-pixel imaging(SPI)utilizing a phase-controlled fiber laser array and an untrained deep neural *** fiber lasers are arranged in a compact hexagonal structure and coherently combined to generate illuminating light *** the utilization of high-speed electro-optic modulators in each individual fiber laser module,the randomly modulated fiber laser array enables rapid speckle projection onto the object of ***,the untrained deep neural network is incorporated into the image reconstructing process to enhance the quality of the reconstructed *** simulations and experiments,we validate the feasibility of the proposed method and successfully achieve high-quality SPI utilizing the coherent fiber laser array at a sampling ratio of 1.6%.Given its potential for high emitting power and rapid modulation,the SPI scheme based on the fiber laser array holds promise for broad applications in remote sensing and other applicable fields.
