ON CONTROL OF STRONG CONSENSUS FOR NETWORKED AGENTS WITH NOISY OBSERVATIONS

The discrete-time first-order multi-agent networks with communication noises are under consideration. Based on the noisy observations, the consensus control is given for networks with both fixed and time-varying topologies. The states of agents in the resulting closed-loop network are updated by a stochastic approximation （SA） algorithm, and the consensus analysis for networks turns to be the convergence analysis for SA. For networks with fixed topologies, the proposed consensus control leads to consensus of agents with probability one if the graph associated with the network is connected. In the case of time-varying topologies, the similar results are derived if the graph is jointly connected in a fixed time period. Compared with existing results, the networks considered here are in a more general setting under weaker assumptions and the strong consensus is established by a simpler proof.

In this paper,a distributed stochastic approximation algorithm is proposed to track the dynamic root of a sum of time-varying regression functions over a *** agent updates its estimate by using the local observation,the dynamic information of the global root,and information received from its *** with similar works in optimization area,we allow the observation to be noise-corrupted,and the noise condition is much ***,instead of the upper bound of the estimate error,we present the asymptotic convergence result of the *** consensus and convergence of the estimates are ***,the algorithm is applied to a distributed target tracking problem and the numerical example is presented to demonstrate the performance of the algorithm.

Southwest China is a tectonically and seismically active region,witnessing strong deformation due to the collision between the Indian and Eurasian *** the subsurface velocity structure of this region is thus important in understanding the tectonics and geodynamic processes of continental collision and in mitigating seismic *** studies have provided various 3D seismic velocity models in southwest ***,discrepancies exist among these models,and less effort has been made to quantify the reliability and accuracy of these existing velocity *** this study,we use regional 3D waveform simulation to evaluate the performance of various regional crustal 3D velocity models in reproducing observed *** particularly focus on two recent earthquake sequence in the region,the 2021 Yunnan Yangbi MS_(6.4) earthquake sequence and the 2022 Sichuan Luding MS_(6.8) earthquake *** tested 3D velocity models include the Southwest China Community Velocity model V1.0,the Unified Seismic Tomography Models for Continental China Lithosphere V2.0,the adjoint full waveform tomography model of the crustal and upper mantle beneath Eastern Tibetan Plateau,and the shallow seismic structure model beneath continental *** results show that the tested 3D velocity models generally capture well long-period(full-waveform tomography model shows a slighter better performance than the other models,especially for the body-waves,highlighting the advantages

Dear Editor,Corneal endotheliitis,first reported in 1982 as an autoimmune disorder by Khodadoust and Attarzadeh[1],is now recognized to be frequently induced by viral infections,including varicella zoster virus(VZV),cytomegalovirus(CMV)and herpes simplex virus(HSV),that can cause inflammatory and immune-related injuries or direct damages to corneal endothelial cells[2-3].In cases with this type of endotheliitis of viral origin,manifestations may include conjunctival ciliary congestion or mixed congestion,corneal subepithelial bulla,localized corneal edema,keratic precipitates(KP)characteristic to the edema area,puckered posterior elastic lamina,mild anterior chamber reaction,intraocular pressure(IOP)elevation in presence of inflammation in trabecular meshwork,and endothelial decompensation[3-4].Accurate diagnosis of viral corneal endotheliitis is challenging due to its complex presentation,leading to a high misdiagnosis *** the best of our knowledge,there was no previous report of viral corneal endotheliitis presenting with corneal endothelial defects in the English literature.

The paper addresses optimization of a performance function which either is optimized via stabilizing and controlling the underlying unknown system or is directly optimized on the basis of its noise-corrupted observations. For the first case the unknown system is identified and then the indirect adaptive control approach is applied to optimize the performance function. For the second case the stochastic approximation method is used to optimize the objective function, and it appears that a number of problems arising from applications may be reduced to the one solvable by this approach. The paper demonstrates some basic results in the area, but with no intention to give a complete survey.
