Association of maternal depression with dietary intake, growth,and development of preterm infants： a cohort study in Beijing,China

This study aimed to explore the association of maternal depression with nutrient intake, growth, and development of preterm infants. A cohort study of 201 infants was conducted in Beijing. Based on the gestational age of an infant and status of the mother, the infants were divided into four groups: non-depression-fullterm (64), non-depression-preterm (70), depression-fullterm (36), and depression-preterm (31). Data on sociodemographic characteristics, nutritional intake, growth, and developmental status of children at 8 months (corrected ages) were collected using a quantitative questionnaire, a 24-Hour Dietary Recall, anthropometric measurements, and the Bayley-III scale. A multivariate analysis was used to evaluate the effects of maternal depression and preterm birth on infant growth and development. The energy, protein, and carbohydrate intake in the depression group was lower than the recommended amounts. The depression preterm groups indicated the lowest Z-scores for length and weight and the lowest Bayley-III scores. Preterm infants of depressed mothers are at high risks of poor growth and development delay.

Stars with initial masses in the range of 8-25 solar masses are thought to end their lives as hydrogen-rich supernovae(SNeⅡ).Based on the pre-explosion images of Hubble space telescope(HST)and Spitzer space telescope,we place tight constraints on the progenitor candidate of type IIP SN 2023ixf in Messier *** of the spectral energy distribution(SED)of its progenitor with dusty stellar spectral models results in an estimation of the effective temperature as 3091+*** luminosity is estimated as lg(L/L⊙)~4.83,consistent with a red supergiant(RSG)star with an initial mass of 12-1+2M⊙.The derived mass loss rate(6×10^(-6)-9×10^(-6)M⊙yr^(-1))is much lower than that inferred from the flash spectroscopy of the SN,suggesting that the progenitor experienced a sudden increase in mass loss when approaching the final *** the infrared bands,significant deviation from the range of regular RSGs in the color-magnitude diagram and period-luminosity space of the progenitor star indicates enhanced mass loss and dust *** with new evidence of polarization at the early phases of SN 2023ixf,such a violent mass loss is likely a result of binary interaction.

The neutron-capture process is traditionally postulated to be responsible for the nucleosynthesis of heavy elements beyond *** on theleast squares method and solar isotopic abundances from the classical model,we estimate the relative contributions of the s- and r-processes to the abundance of neutron-capture elements in the metalpoor star HD 175305 from the component *** the calculated component coefficients C_(r) and C_(s),the model predicts the isotopic fractions of elements Nd,Sm and Eu to be f_(142+144) =0.482,f_(152+154) =0.525 and f_(l51) =0.450,*** well as the observed abundances,the isotropic fractions are also consistent with the ***,for the first time,we estimated the contribution percentage of the two neutron processes (the r- and s-processes) from the observed isotopic fractions of different elements in HD 175305,*** r-process contribution of 67%^(+21%)_(-32%) from the 4604 (A) line of Sm.

In this paper, a low-cost measurement approach with bi-beam was presented, which can be used for real-time detection and online analysis of solution refractive index, based on systematical analysis and experiments of conventional detection methods on surface plasmon resonance sensor. This novel method was analyzed theoretically and based on it a sensor system set was established. The factors that affect the sensor's sensitivity and working range were discussed. The angular adjustment setup was simplified, errors produced by movable components were avoided and the maneuverability was enhanced with this new method. The noiseproof feature and stability of the sensor system were greatly improved as well.

Analytical solutions for contaminant transport are widely used for both theoretical and practical ***,many existing solutions are obtained subject to an initial condition of zero concentration,which is often unrealistic in many practical *** article proposed a stepwise superposition approximation approach to solve the non-zero initial concentration problem for first-type and third-type boundary conditions by using the existing zero initial concentration *** examples showed that the approach was highly efficient if a proper superposition scheme with relative concentration increments was *** key parameter that controlled the convergence speed was the time increment（△t） multiplied by the rate constant（λ）.The approach served also as an alternative way to make a convenient concentration calculation even if the non-zero initial concentration solution of a problem was known.

Bryophyte communities have been widely used to monitor and assess heavy metal pollution in soil,air and ***,the unique value of acrocarpous moss in monitoring environmental pollution and the harm of non-metallic sulfur to human health caused by carbonate manganese mining were seldom considered in previous *** study investigated the heavy metal and sulfur pollution level by soil and moss sample collection in Changgou manganese ore and its surrounding environment in the Zunyi area,Guizhou Province,*** means of cluster analysis,diversity analysis,correlation analysis and redundancy analysis,the relationship between dominant moss communities and major pollutants were *** results showed that there were pollutants such as iron(Fe),manganese(Mn),cadmium(Cd),sulfur(S)and others in the 500 meters buffer zone centered on Changgou manganese *** ore sorting area and waste rock accumulation area were considered as the most seriously polluted,followed by the ore outlet area and ore transport line,at last the miners’living area and vegetable planting area were the least polluted.A total of 23 species of moss communities were identified in the Changgou manganese ore area,among which 9 were dominant,including Bryum blindii Bruch&Schimp.(***),Weissia planifolia Dix(***)-***,Bryum caespiticium Hedw.(***),Bryum pallescens Schleicher ex Schw?gr.(***),Didymodon longicostatus *** et Iwats(***),Weissia brachycarpa(Nees&Hornsch.)Jur.(***),Trichostomum brachydontium Bruch.(***),Bryum argenteum Hedw.(***)*** and Bryum algovicum *** M?***.(***),all of which are from the acrocarp *** showed a strong tolerance to S,*** to Fe,*** to Cd and *** to *** was a significant correlation between the main polluting elements and the dominant bryophyte community(P<0.05),indicating a high biological indicator ***,our results can provide the scientific basis for soil pollution mo

While much effort has been devoted to the delineation of materials that are suitable for neuronal differentiation of human embryonic stem cells(hESCs),how material topographical features,especially the nanofiber diameter and alignment, influence the growth and neuronal differentiation of hESCs,however,is still *** the present study,we seeded hESCs-derived neural precursors on random or aligned tussah silk fibroin(TSF) electrospun nanofibers with diameters of 400 nm and 800 nm and found that the diameter and alignment of TSF scaffolds significantly influence the growth and differentiation of hESCs-derived neural *** results show that hESCs-derived neurons display good compatibility with TSF scaffolds:TSF nanofibers not only support the growth the hESCs,but guide the growth and migration of these cells and the neurite outgrowth of hESCs-derived neurons as ***,compared with cells on 800 nm aligned TSF fibers, hESCs on 400 nm aligned TSF show greater neuronal differentiation efficiency and hESCs-derived neurons on these fibers possess longer neurite ***,the property of the electrospun TSF nanofibers that can guide and direct hESC migration and differentiation,with a diameter of 400 nm in particular,makes these materials the promising candidates in nerve tissue engineering for therapeutic approaches to promote the regeneration of CNS after injury.

Uniaxial tensile tests were carried out at room temperature(RT)and 250℃,respectively,to investigate the effect of shortrange ordering(SRO)on the mechanical properties and deformation micromechanism of fine-grained(FG)Cu–Mn alloys with high stacking fault *** results show that at RT,with the increase in SRO degree,the strength of FG Cu–Mn alloys is improved without a loss of ductility,and corresponding deformation micromechanism is mainly manifested by a decrease in the size of dislocation *** contrast,at a high temperature of 250℃,the SRO degree becomes violently enhanced with increasing Mn content,and the deformation microstructures thus transform from dislocation cells to planar slip bands and even to deformation twins,significantly enhancing the work hardening capacity of the alloys and thus achieving a better strength-ductility synergy of FG Cu–Mn alloys.
