The surface–volume–surface electric field integral equation(SVS-EFIE)can lead to complex equations,laborious implementation,and unacceptable computational complexity in the method of moments(MoM).Therefore,a general matrix equation(GME)is proposed for electromagnetic scattering from arbitrary metal–dielectric composite objects,and its enhanced solution is presented in this paper.In previous works,MoM solution formulation of SVSEFIE considering only three-region metal–dielectric composite scatters was presented,and the two-stage process resulted in two integral operators in SVS-EFIE,which is arduous to implement and is incapable of reducing computational complexity.To address these difficulties,GME,which is versatile for homogeneous objects and composite objects consisting of more than three sub-regions,is proposed for the first time.Accelerated solving policies are proposed for GME based on coupling degree concerning the spacing between sub-regions,and the coupling degree standard can be adaptively set to balance the accuracy and efficiency.In this paper,the reformed addition theorem is applied for the strong coupling case,and the iterative method is presented for the weak coupling case.Parallelism can be easily applied in the enhanced solution.Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method requires only 11.6%memory and 11.8%CPU time on average compared to the previous direct solution.

Layup temperature is a vital factor that affects the production quality of automated fiber placement for thermoset composites.For high quality production,this paper proposes a new prediction model of layup temperature by considering the structure of infrared heater of automatic fiber placement equipment.The model was first verified by comparing with the temperature results of layup experiments.Then a prediction on the effects of heater structure arrangement on layup temperature was conducted in the model.The research shows that the length of infrared tube and the radian of reflective-film have significant influences,rather than other parameters.According to this investigation,a heater structure-based heating strategy was presented in the paper to efficiently achieve constant temperature control in variable speed layup process.

Bone morphogenetic protein(BMP),belongs to transforming growth factor-b(TGF-b)superfamily except BMP-1.Implanting BMP into muscular tissues induces ectopic bone formation at the site of implantation,which provides opportunity for the treatment of bone defects.Recombinant human BMP-2(rhBMP-2)has been used clinically,but the lack of standard methods for quantifying rhBMP-2 biological activity greatly hindered the progress of commercialization.In this article,we describe an in vitro rhBMP-2 quantification method,as well as the data analyzation pipeline through logistic regression in RStudio.Previous studies indicated that alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity of C2C12 cells was significantly increased when exposed to rhBMP-2,and showed dose-dependent effects in a certain concentration range of rhBMP-2.Thus,we chose to quantify ALP activity as an indicator of rhBMP-2 bioactivity in vitro.A sigmoid relationship between the ALP activity and concentration of rhBMP-2 was discovered.However,there are tons of regression models for such a non-linear relationship.It has always been a major concern for researchers to choose a proper model that not only fit data accurately,but also have parameters representing practical meanings.Therefore,to fit our rhBMP-2 quantification data,we applied two logistic regression models,three-parameter log-logistic model and four-parameter log-logistic model.The four-parameter log-logistic model(adj-R2>0.98)fits better than three-parameter log-logistic model(adj-R2>0.75)for the sigmoid curves.Overall,our results indicate rhBMP-2 quantification in vitro can be accomplished by detecting ALP activity and fitting four-parameter log-logistic model.Furthermore,we also provide a highly adaptable R script for any additional logistic models.

Malachite is one of the main minerals used for the industrial enrichment and recovery of copper oxide resources, and copper ions are unavoidable metal ions in the flotation pulp. The microflotation, contact angle, and adsorption experiments indicated that pretreatment with an appropriate concentration of copper ions could improve the malachite recovery, and the addition of excess copper ions reduced the hydrophobicity of the malachite surface. The results of zeta potential tests indicated that sodium sulfide and butyl xanthate were also adsorbed on the surface of malachite pretreated with copper ions. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) results indicated that —Cu—O and —Cu—OH bonds were formed on the surface of the samples. After pretreatment with an appropriate concentration of copper ions, the number of —OH groups on the mineral surface decreased, whereas the number of Cu—S groups on the mineral surface increased, which was conducive to the sulfidization of malachite. After adding a high concentration of copper ions, the —OH groups on the mineral surface increased, whereas the number of Cu—S groups decreased, which had an adverse effect on the sulfidization flotation of malachite. Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry showed that pretreatment with copper ions resulted in a thicker sulfidization layer on the mineral surface.

Since the completion of the rice genome sequencing project in 2005,we have entered the era of rice genomics,which is still in its ascendancy.Rice genomics studies can be classified into three stages:structural genomics,functional genomics,and quantitative genomics.Structural genomics refers primarily to genome sequencing for the construction of a complete map of rice genome sequence.This is fundamental for rice genetics and molecular biology research.Functional genomics aims to decode the functions of rice genes.Quantitative genomics is large-scale sequence-and statistics-based research to define the quantitative traits and genetic features of rice populations.Rice genomics has been a transformative influence on rice biological research and contributes significantly to rice breeding,making rice a good model plant for studying crop sciences.

Copper oxide minerals are important copper resources,which include malachite,azurite,chrysocolla,cuprite,etc.Flotation is the most widely used method for the enrichment of copper oxide minerals in the mineral processing industry.In this paper,the surface properties of copper oxide minerals and their effects on the mineral flotation behavior are systematically summarized.The flotation methods of copper oxide minerals and the interaction mechanism with reagents are reviewed in detail.Flotation methods include direct flotation(using chelating reagents or a fatty acid as collector),sulfidization flotation(using xanthate as collector),and activation flotation(using chelating reagents,ammonium/amine salts,metal ions,and oxidant for activation).An effective way to realize efficient flotation of copper oxide minerals is to increase active sites on the surface of copper oxide minerals to enhance the interaction of collector with the mineral surface.Besides,various perspectives for further investigation on the efficient recovery of copper oxide minerals are proposed.

Objective This study aimed to compare the postoperative analgesia and recovery of ultrasound-guided erector spinae plane block combined with serratus anterior plane block(ESPB combined with SAPB)versus thoracic paravertebral block(PVB)after thoracoscopic surgery.Methods Ninety-two patients who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS)were randomly divided into group S(n=46)and group P(n=46).After anesthesia induction,the same anesthesiologist performed ultrasound-guided ESPB at T5 and T7 levels combined with SAPB at the level of the fifth rib in the midaxillary line in group S and ultrasound-guided PVB at T5 and T7 levels in group P.Patients in both groups were given 40 mL of 0.4%ropivacaine.Eighty-six patients completed the study(group S,n=44;group P,n=42).The morphine consumption,visual analogue scale(VAS)scores at rest and coughing,and frequency of remedial analgesia were recorded at 1,2,4,8,and 24 h postoperatively.Pulmonary function parameters were recorded at 1,4,and 24 h postoperatively,and the quality of recovery(QoR)-15 score at 24 h postoperatively.The adverse effects,duration of chest tube drainage and length of stay were also recorded.Results The morphine consumption at postoperative 4 and 8 h and the incidence of ipsilateral shoulder pain(ISP)were significantly lower in group S than in group P.The QoR-15 questionnaire score at postoperative 24 h was significantly lower in group P than in group S(Phan in group P,with no significant difference found yet.The morphine consumption at other observed times,VAS scores,pulmonary function parameters,frequency of remedial analgesia,duration of chest tube drainage,length of stay,and incidence of other adverse events were comparable between group S and group P.Conclusion Ultrasound-guided ESPB combined with SAPB is non-inferior to PVB in terms of morphine consumption at postoperative 24 h and postoperative recovery.But,this approach can significantly reduce morphine consumpti

Cardiovascular diseases(CVD)have become..the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide.Duringthe past two,decades,many experimental and preclinical studies have highlighted the critical roles of histone modifications(eg,acetylations and methylations)in regulating cardiovas-cular development,homeostasis,and disease progression by regulating gene transcription.The well studied histone acetylations such as H3K9ac and H3K27ac activate gene transcription and have shown critical functions in cardio-vascular homeostasis and remodeling. For instance,while class Ⅰ and Ⅱ histone deacetylases(HDACs)generally promote the development of cardiac hypertrophy and diabetic cardiomyopathy,most class Ⅱ HDACs(Sirtuins)exhibit cardioprotective capacity.The inhibitors of class Ⅲ HDACs have been proven to repress cardiac remodeling and heart failure.
