The impact of biotic and abiotic factors on the distribution of surface sediment dinoflagellate cyst assemblages on the Nanji Island in the East China Sea

The dinoflagellate cyst assemblages on the Nanji Island in the East China Sea, are documented at the first time to construct a quantitative overview of the cyst bank from 2014 to 2015. Thirty-four morphotypes from six groups are identified and quantified at eight sampling sites around the island, including a high proportion of potentially toxigenic species(14%). Autotrophic dinocysts constitute 74% of the total cyst counts, which is relatively low(two to thirty-three per millilitre sediment) compared with previous studies in adjacent areas. Scrippsiella trochoidea and Protoperidinium avellana are the most abundant autotrophic and heterotrophic species, respectively. A multivariate analysis is performed to assess associations between dinocysts and abiotic or biotic variables.Differentiation among seasons is evident in the detrended correspondence analysis(DCA) ordination plot, while a spatial pattern is not clearly revealed despite heterogeneity of the hydrodynamic conditions between sampling sites. Soluble reactive phosphate, the ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus concentrations and Karenia mikimotoi bloom are the three factors significantly(P<0.05) related to surface sediment cyst assemblage defined by the canonical correspondence analysis(CCA), highlighting the importance of nutrient regime to a dinocyst distribution in this area. Although attempts to address the origin of HAB events in recent years using seed banks have failed, knowledge can be valuable for further investigation of dinocyst dynamics and potential toxin threats on the Nanji Island.

Quality Standard of Haleniae Herba

[Objectives]The research aimed to establish qualitative and quantitative detection methods of Haleniae Herba,and provide basis for improving its quality standard.[Methods]Using thin-layer chromatography(TLC),qualitative identification of Haleniae Herba was conducted.Using high-performance liquid chromatography,luteolin content of Haleniae Herba was determined.[Results]TLC identification method had good specificity,with clear spots and good degree of separation,and reference medicinal material of Haleniae Herba was prepared.Content determination results displayed that luteolin had good linear relationship in the range of 0.088-1.760μg.The RSD values of precision,repeatability,stability and sample recovery of the instrument met the requirements.[Conclusions]The established method is simple and reproducible,and can be used for the quality control of Haleniae Herba.

Few-layered ReS_2 nanosheets grown on graphene as electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction

Few-layered ReStwo-dimensional(2 D) semiconductor nanosheets directly nucleated and grown on reduced graphene oxide(RGO) were synthesized through a facile hydrothermal method. Compared with bare ReS, the ReS2/RGO hybrid delivers much better electrocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) in acidic media. It exhibits a lower Tafel slope of 107.4 mV decand a larger current density of-5.2 mA·cmat-250 mV(vs. RHE),compared with ReS(152.7 mV·dec,-3.1 mA·cm). The ReS/RGO hybrid has a unique architecture constructed by highly conductive and porous RGO internetworks, which guarantees easy electrolyte infiltration and efficient charge transfer and provides sufficient active edge sites, resulting in enhanced HER performance. The present synthesis approach can be extended to synthesize other 2 D-semiconductor-based composites for energy storage and catalytic devices.

In this study,we report the growth of free-standing InAs nanosheets using Au catalysts in molecular beam epitaxy.Detailed structural characterizations suggest that wurtzite structured InAs nanosheets,with features of extensive{1120}surfaces,grown along thedirection and adopted{0001}nanosheet/catalyst interfaces,are initiated from wurtzite structured[0001]nanowires as the inclined epitaxial growth due to relatively higher In concentrations in Au catalysts,and grown from these inclined nanostructures through catalyst-induced axial growth and their enhanced lateral growth under the high growth temperature.Based on the facts that the nanosheets contain large low energy{1120}surfaces and{0001}nanosheet/catalyst interfaces,the growth of our nanosheets is a thermodynamically driven process.This study provides new insights into fabricating free-standing Ⅲ-Ⅴ nanosheets for their applications in future nanoscale devices.

超像素生成是对象级数据处理体系的重要预处理步骤,这对于拥有大数据量的多时相、多极化SAR数据的高效处理和应用具有很大的现实意义。针对单时相超像素分割方法没有充分利用地物在时序上完整散射信息的问题,本文综合利用时序极化SAR数据观测充分、可描述时变特性等优势,提出了一种基于简单线性迭代聚类(SLIC)模型的多时相极化SAR影像自适应超像素生成方法。该方法首先联合多个时相的极化协方差矩阵,基于Wishart分布计算时序极化SAR相似性距离;然后利用多时相极化SAR数据进行梯度计算,检测图像边缘;最后提出一种基于多时相极化SAR边缘检测的同质性测度因子,用于自适应平衡极化距离和空间距离的权重关系。本文使用8景Radarsat-2全极化SAR影像,从可视化效果和定量精度两个方面评价方法有效性。相关结果表明,本文方法优于单时相极化SAR超像素生成方法和现有的多时相极化SAR超像素方法,超像素能够有效贴合研究区域地块边界,是一种有效的超像素生成方法。

Drug delivery systems with high-targeted doses can minimize excipients,reduce side effects,and improve efficacy.Human blood circulation is a complex circulatory system,and the motion control of microrobots in the static flow field in vitro is completely different from in vivo.How to achieve precise counterflow motion for targeted drug delivery without vascular blockage and immune rejection is the biggest challenge for micro-nano robots.Here,we propose a control method that enables vortex-like paramagnetic nanoparticle swarm(VPNS)to move upstream against the flow.By mimicking the clustering motion of wild herring schools and the rolling of leukocytes,VPNS are incredibly stable even when subjected to high-intensity jet impacts in the blood environment,can travel upstream,anchor at the target location,and dissipate when the magnetic field is withdrawn,which greatly reduces the risk of thrombosis.VPNS can also upstream along the vessel wall without an additional energy source and has a marked targeted therapeutic effect on subcutaneous tumors.

For wild natural medicine,unanticipated biodiversity as species or varieties with similar morphological characteristics and sympatric distribution may co-exist in a single batch of medical materials,which affects the efficacy and safety of clinical medication.DNA barcoding as an effective species identification tool is limited by its low sample throughput nature.In this study,combining DNA minibarcode,DNA metabarcoding and species delimitation method,a novel biological sources consistency evaluation strategy was proposed,and high level of interspecific and intraspecific variations were observed and validated among 5376 Amynthas samples from 19 sampling points regarded as"Guang Dilong"and 25 batches of proprietary Chinese medicines.Besides Amynthas aspergillum as the authentic source,8 other Molecular Operational Taxonomic Units(MOTUs)were elucidated.Significantly,even the subgroups within A.aspergillum revealed here differ significantly on chemical compositions and biological activity.Fortunately,this biodiversity could be controlled when the collection was limited to designated areas,as proved by 2796"decoction pieces"samples.This batch biological identification method should be introduced as a novel concept regarding natural medicine quality control,and to offer guidelines for in-situ conservation and breeding bases construction of wild natural medicine.

区域再生水循环利用是破解水资源、水环境和水生态“三水统筹”治理难题,实现污水资源化利用的重要途径.通过调研黄河流域上中下游16个地级市区域再生水循环利用试点实施方案的推进情况,剖析了区域再生水循环利用模式在地方的认知度和融合度,从政策和技术层面梳理了影响黄河流域区域再生水循环利用体系构建的主要制约因素,并提出了相应的对策措施.旨在推动区域再生水循环利用体系在黄河流域更大范围内发挥更加显著的效益,为其他流域再生水利用提供借鉴.政策层面的制约因素表现在地方政府缺少对再生水利用比例的考核机制,人工湿地工程无法与当地再生水利用规划、城镇污水处理厂和管网建设充分衔接融合,再生水不能有效纳入水资源配置规划,对于再生水取用权和收益权亦缺乏明确的管理要求,再生水尚未纳入水权交易市场.再生水利用工程盈利能力较弱,在缺乏经济政策保障的情况下很难形成稳定的市场运营和长效运行机制.技术层面的制约表现在冬季低温条件下,人工湿地工程的处理效果对运维技术的依赖度较高.不少地方的人工湿地工程往往缺乏专业运维队伍,“重建设、轻运维”的现象较为普遍.黄河流域再生水用于农业灌溉的需求量大,潜力有待充分发掘,再生水盐分升高和水质安全利用问题需持续探索和研究.提出的对策措施包括四方面:一是强化地方政府相关职能部门的协作协同,加大再生水利用率在考核中的权重,鼓励基础较好的地区开展再生水水权交易制度建设试点;二是省级层面应加大对区域再生水循环利用工程的政策和资金倾斜,推动工程尽早开工建设和发挥示范效益;三是强化人工湿地用地保障和运维管理;四是鼓励地方政府出台支持再生水用于农业灌溉的政策,推动黄河流域内典型农业县城形成具有示范性的再生水农业安全利用模式.
