Carbon potentials of different biochars derived from municipal solid waste in a saline soil

There are numerous studies conducted on biochar for its carbon (C) sequestration potential;however,there are limited studies available on the behavior of salt-affected soils related to biochar ***,more studies are needed to elucidate the mechanisms through which biochar affects saline soil *** this study,biochars were produced from solid waste at pyrolysis temperatures of 300,500,and 700?C (BC300,BC500,and BC700,respectively)and applied to a saline soil to evaluate their impacts on soil carbon dioxide (CO_(2)) efflux,C sequestration,and soil quality.A soil incubation experiment lasting for 107 d was *** results showed that soil CO_(2) efflux rate,cumulative CO_(2) emission,active organic C (AOC),and organic matter (OM)significantly increased with BC300 application to a greater extent than those with BC500 and BC700 as compared to those in the no-biochar control (CK).However,soil C non-lability did not significantly increase in the treatments with biochars,except BC700,as compared to that in *** improving the soil quality by increasing the soil AOC and OM,BC300 showed positive impacts in terms of increasing CO_(2) emission from the saline soil,while BC500 and BC700 showed greater potentials of sequestering C in the saline soil by increasing the soil non-labile C *** recalcitrance index (R50) values of BC500 and BC700 were>0.8,indicating their high stability in the saline *** could be concluded that biochars pyrolyzed at high temperatures (?500?C)could be suitable in terms of C sequestration,while biochars pyrolyzed at low temperatures (?300?C) could be suitable for improving saline soil quality.

BACKGROUND Vaccines for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) include Ch Ad Ox1-SARS-COV-2(Astra Zeneca),***2.S(Janssen),m RNA-1273(Moderna),BNT162b2(Pfizer),BBIBP-Cor V(Sinopharm),Corona Vac(Sinovac),and Bharat Biotech BBV152(Covaxin).AIM To find the association between COVID-19 vaccines and myocardial infarction(MI).METHODS This is a systematic review that involved searching databases such as MEDLINE,EMBASE,and Pak Medi Net after making a search strategy using Me SH and Emtree *** criteria were set,and studies having no mention of MI as a complication of COVID-19 vaccination,protocols,genetic studies,and animal studies were *** was extracted using a predesigned extraction table,and 29 studies were selected after screening and applying the eligibility *** The majority of studies mentioned Astra Zeneca(18 studies) followed by Pfizer(14 studies) and Moderna(9 studies) in subjects reporting MI after *** of all the studies,69% reported MI cases after the first COVID-19 vaccination dose and 14% after the second,44% reported ST-segment elevation MI,and 26% reported non-ST-segment elevation *** mortality rate was 29% after *** In conclusion,many studies linked MI to COVID-19 vaccinations,but no definitive association could be found.

植物不断地受到限制其生长和生产的非生物胁迫的影响。其中,干旱是限制作物产量的最重要因素。棉花是世界范围内商业化种植的重要纤维和油料作物。干旱会造成棉花产量的严重损失,然而全球一半以上的棉花都生长在缺水严重的地区。因此,了解棉花抗旱性的分子遗传学机制,培育耐旱品种具有重要意义。因蛋白磷酸酶(PP2C)基因家族参与各种胁迫反应,具有功能多样化特性,因此本研究对陆地棉基因组中该基因家族与干旱的关系进行了研究。通过生物信息学分析,我们在亚洲棉,海岛棉,陆地棉和雷蒙德氏棉中分别鉴定到87,147,181,和99个PP2C编码基因。对PP2C基因家族基因的基因结构,基因重复性,表达谱,染色体定位,蛋白质基序以及其系统发育关系做了分析。根据PP2C的系统发育关系,将其进一步分为12个亚组。根据已有的RNA-seq数据对Gh PP2C基因在器官和纤维发育中的组织特异性特异性表达做了分析。选择其中30个Gh PP2C基因做了q RT-PCR分析验证,结果表明这些基因可以响应热冷,干旱和盐等胁迫。选择3个(GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2)受干旱胁迫诱导后响应明显的PP2C基因进行进一步研究。GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2属于棉花PP2C的A组,分别与拟南芥HAI2,AHG3和ABI2具有高度的序列相似性。干旱和ABA处理后GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2的表达均显著上调。通过病毒诱导基因沉默(VIGS)技术研究它们在抗旱性中的作用。结果表明GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2基因沉默增强了棉花对干旱胁迫的抗性。沉默植株在正常生长条件下的表型与对照植株无显著差异。然而在干旱胁迫后,对照植株比沉默植株叶片萎蔫严重,并伴随高的蒸腾损失和相对低的含水量。干旱胁迫下沉默植株在光合速率,胞内CO2浓度,气孔导度和蒸腾速率等生理指标有明显改善。此外,与对照相比,沉默植株的抗氧化酶活性更高,MDA积累减少。根系表型分析表明,基因沉默植株增加了根的厚度,体积,干重和直径,这些表型均与抗旱性相关。总之,GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2基因参与了棉花的干旱胁迫响应。通过酵母双杂交(Y2H)和荧光素酶互补技术分析,证明GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2与ABA受体Gh PYLs之间存在相互作用。结果表明Gh PYLs与GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2相互作用可能抑制其磷酸酶活性,从而激活ABA信号通路下游靶基因。通过q RT-PCR分析了ABA途径干旱响应基因的表达情况。结果表明,与不依赖ABA的标记基因相比,沉默GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2可以显着增加ABA依赖的标记基因的表达。同时沉默植物中ABA生物合成基因Gh NCEDa和Gh NCEDc的表达量亦显著高于对照。上述结果表明,GhHAI2,GhAHG3和GhABI2通过依赖ABA的信号通路参与棉花抗旱性的调控。本研究基于多种生物信息学工具,对棉花PP2C基因家族的进化及其在器官和纤维发育中的作用做了系统的分析。对三个基因与棉花抗旱的关系做了初步功能研究,将有助于棉花抗病品种的遗传改良。

变压器是连接发电厂与电网的枢纽,其运行状态关乎整个电力系统的稳定与安全,对于电力系统的可靠性和稳定性至关重要。油中溶解气体是发现变压器早期故障的有效手段,在国内外得到了广泛的应用。油中溶解气体浓度变化异常,能够提前判断变压器的运行状态,往往代表着变压器内部有放电、过热等故障发生,需及时处理,可以避免更大的事故发生,因此油中溶解气体对指导变压器检修工作和预防电网重大事故具有重要意义。本研究旨在采用滑动平均基线模型、RNN模型、改进RNN模型,1D CNN+LSTM模型以及改进1D CNN+LSTM模型,通过预测三种不同电压水平(1000 KV、500 KV和220 KV)下,十种不同气体(乙烯、甲烷、乙炔、氢气、乙烷、总碳氢化合物、二氧化碳、一氧化碳、氧气和氮气)的浓度来检测可能导致变压器故障的早期状况,结果表明,电压等级是确定最有效的预测机器学习模型的关键因素。总体而言,RNN模型的R平方值优于滑动平均基线模型,甚至优于改进的RNN模型。1000KV和500KV条件下,改进1D CNN+LSTM模型的平均绝对误差MAE值更小,220KV条件下,改进1D CNN+LSTM模型的平均绝对误差MAE值大于1D CNN+LSTM模型。

Association of Perceived Stress and Gastrointestinal Symptoms in College Students: A Systematic Review

Stress and anxiety are common entities in college students, and only a handful of students can handle these stressors appropriately, while others may show physical signs and symptoms. The main purpose of this systematic review was to examine the association between perceived stress and gastrointestinal symptoms. A detailed search was conducted using five databases: PubMed, Research Gate, Science Direct, American Journal of Gastroenterology, and Google scholar. Ten papers were finalized after the application of various inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Newcastle Ottawa scale was used to evaluate the quality of the included articles as all the included articles were cross-sectional studies. The systematic review of these finalized articles found that most studies revealed the prevalence of gastrointestinal symptoms in college students and were linked to perceived stress.

As there is a huge pressure on the cultivated medicinal plants and due to this pressure a large number of plants are being eradicated yearly. So to reduce this pressure on the cultivated plants an effort is being done to use the wild plants as a good medicinal agent and a cheaper source as well. The present study was undertaken to find out the Antimicrobial activity, Antioxidant activity and Pharmacological Analysis of Centella asiatica. It is a wild plant and mostly found on the damp places of plains and foothills. It was collected, dried and extracted by maceration method in different polar and non-polar solvents i.e. petroleum ether, chloroform, methanol and distilled water. These extracts were further used to find out the antimicrobial, antioxidant and anthelmintic activities. Centella asiatica showed remarkable values comparable with the standard antimicrobial and antioxidant agents. Well defined zones of inhibition were recorded indicating that the plants were potent against pathogenic microbes, such as i.e. Bcteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphyllococcus saprophyticus, E. coli) and fungi (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aspergillus parasiticus and Rhizopus oryzae). The antioxidant activity of all the plant extracts was studied by DPPH Assay, Total Antioxidant Assay and Total phenolic Assay and the remarkable values comparable with the standard antioxidants were recorded. For pharmacological analysis different secondary metabolites indicated positive results whereas some others gave negative results.
