The results of a comprehensive study of the crystal structure,grain structure,and strength properties of ceramic bismuth ferrite with rare earth elements(REE)obtained by two-stage solid-phase synthesis followed by sintering using conventional ceramic technology are *** reasons for the formation of low mechanical strength and the development of destruction phenomena in solid solutions with small REE(R<0:94Å)are considered:Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb,*** causes of the observed phenomena associated with the composite-like structure of the studied media and,as a consequence,the occurrence of local stresses of structural elements that provoke crack formation are established.A source of the latter are also the structural features of the grain *** conclusion is made about the appropriateness of taking into account the information obtained when developing devices based on BiFeO_(3)/REE multiferroics.

This paper presents a simulation of SOI-MEMS electrostatic vibration energy harvester using the architect module in CoventorWare2010. The device has a proof mass suspended by four complaint beams anchored to a fixed frame. Performance analysis is performing by optimizing the physical parameters of the beam that directly influence the stiffness and to ensure the proof mass moves smoothly with low cross-axis sensitivity. The main goal of this study is to achieve a high specific power harvested and a low resonance frequency. The results show that the newly proposed electrostatic energy harvesting system can produce maximum output power of 5.891μW when the excitation frequency is 2 kHz. The device has been designed to be fabricated by using Deep Reactive Ion Etching process that etch the structure pattern at top layer of Silicon On Insulator wafer. The device is currently being fabricated.

Systematic new series of ternary tellurite glasses in the form (TeO2)90(AlF3)90-x(ZnO)x have been successfully synthesized. Both longitudinal and shear ultrasonic velocities were measured in different compositions of the glass system by using the MBS8000 Ultrasonic Data Acquisition System at 10 MHz frequency and at room temperature. The elastic properties of ternary tellurite glasses (TeO2)90(AlF3)90-x(ZnO)x were measured as a function of composition. The ultrasonic velocity data, the density, the calculated elastic moduli and micro-hardness depend on the glass composition. The composition dependence was discussed in terms of ZnO modifiers that were expected to change the physical properties of oxyfluotellurite glasses.
