A new four-dimensional quadratic smooth autonomous chaotic system is presented in this paper, which can exhibit periodic orbit and chaos under the conditions on the system parameters. Importantly, the system can generate one-, two-, three- and four-scroll chaotic attractors with appropriate choices of parameters. Interestingly, all the attractors are generated only by changing a single parameter. The dynamic analysis approach in the paper involves time series, phase portraits, Poincare maps, a bifurcation diagram, and Lyapunov exponents, to investigate some basic dynamical behaviours of the proposed four-dimensional system.

Our comments point out some mistakes in the main theorem given by Yang and Qi in Ref. [1] concerning the equivalent passivity method to design a nonlinear controller for the stabilizing fractional order unified chaotic system. The proof of this theorem is not reliable, since the mathematical basis of the fractional order calculus is not considered. Moreover, there are some algebraic mistakes in the inequalities used, thus making the proof invalid. We propose a proper Lyapunov function and the stability of Yang and Qi＇s Controller is investigated based on the fractional order Lyapunov theorem.

This paper presents a new robust adaptive inverse control approach for a force-reflecting teleoperation system with varying time delay. First,an impedance control is designed for the master robot. Second,an adaptive inverse control is proposed for the slave robot. Finally,the slave side controller is modified such that the robust stability and performance are achieved. In addition,robust stability analysis has been performed and optimal behavior is ensured by using standard characteristic polynomials. It is shown that despite of presence of randomly-varying time delay,the proposed control algorithm compensates the position drifts efficiently. Demonstrable simulation studies confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control system and its advantages over the existing sliding mode control strategies.

The stability and stabilization of a class of nonlinear discrete time delayed systems(NDTDS) with time-varying delay and norm-bounded nonlinearity are investigated. Based on discrete time Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method, a sufficient delaydependent condition for asymptotic stability of nonlinear systems is offered. Then, this condition is used to design a new efficient delayed state feedback controller(DSFC) for stabilization of such systems. These conditions are in the linear matrix inequality(LMI) framework. Illustrative examples confirm the improvement of the proposed approach over the similar cases. Furthermore, the obtained stability and stabilization conditions will be extended to uncertain discrete time delayed systems(UDTDS) with polytopic parameter uncertainties and also with norm-bounded parameter uncertainties.

This paper is concerned with the problem of congestion control for the class of communication networks with random *** linear dynamic model of TCP network in congestion avoidance mode is considered which contain round trip delays in both state and *** link capacity,round trip time delay and the number of TCP sessions is assumed to be random finite state Markov *** Queue Management （AQM） used to adjust the queue level of the congested link to a fixed value.A dynamic output feedback controller with mode dependent parameters is synthesized to stochastically stabilize the TCP/AQM *** control synthesis is implemented by solving a linear matrix inequality （LMI）.The results are tested within a simulation example and the effectiveness of the proposed design method is verified.

In this paper, controlling chaos when chaotic ferroresonant oscillations occur in a voltage transformer with nonlin- ear core loss model is performed. The effect of a parallel metal oxide surge arrester on the ferroresonance oscillations of voltage transformers is studied. The metal oxide arrester （MOA） is found to be effective in reducing ferroresonance chaotic oscillations. Also the multiple scales method is used to analyze the chaotic behavior and different types of fixed points in ferroresonance of voltage transformers considering core loss. This phenomenon has nonlinear chaotic dynamics and includes sub-harmonic, quasi-periodic, and also chaotic oscillations. In this paper, the chaotic behavior and various ferroresonant oscillation modes of the voltage transformer is studied. This phenomenon consists of different types of bifur- cations such as period doubling bifurcation （PDB）, saddle node bifurcation （SNB）, Hopf bifurcation （HB）, and chaos. The dynamic analysis of ferroresonant circuit is based on bifurcation theory. The bifurcation and phase plane diagrams are il- lustrated using a continuous method and linear and nonlinear models of core loss. To analyze ferroresonance phenomenon, the Lyapunov exponents are calculated via the multiple scales method to obtain Feigenbaum numbers. The bifurcation diagrams illustrate the variation of the control parameter. Therefore, the chaos is created and increased in the system.

Analyzing static and dynamic problems including composite structures has been of high significance in research efforts and industrial *** this article,equivalent single layer approach is utilized for dynamic finite element procedures of 3D composite beam as the building block of numerous composite *** this model,both displacement and strain fields are decomposed into cross-sectional and longitudinal components,called consistent geometric decomposition ***,the model is discretized using finite clement *** local coordinate systems and a global one are defined to decouple mechanical degrees of ***,from the viewpoint of consistent geometric decomposition theorem,the transformation and element mass matrices for those systems are introduced here for the first *** same decomposition idea can be used for developing element stiffiness ***,comprehensive validations are conducted for the theory against experimental and numerical results in two case studies and for various conditions.
