Background: Hand hygiene (HH) compliance of healt.care workers (HCWs) remains subopt.mal despit. st.ndard mult.modal promot.on, and evidence for t.e effect.veness of novel int.rvent.ons is urgent.y needed. Aim: Improve HCWs’ HH compliance t.ward minimizing healt.care associat.d infect.on (HCAI) risk in Wadi al Dawasir Hospit.l (WDH), cent.al Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Met.odology: A quasi experiment.l approach was adopt.d t. achieve st.dy aim. t.e HCWs’ behavior of HH during t.e durat.on bet.een 2015 and 2016 was evaluat.d before and aft.r a HH educat.onal plan based on t.e World Healt. Organizat.on (WHO) “Mult.modal HH Improvement.St.at.gy” (MMHHIS). t.e HCWs’ compliance in response t. HH indicat.ons represent.d by t.e WHO’s “My 5-Moment. for HH” and t.e t.pe of HH act.on t.ken, whet.er hand washing (HW) or hand-rubbing (HR) were analyzed. Result.: t.e number of opport.nit.es observed of HH performance account.d 230 in 2015 (pre-educat.on), and 237 in 2016 (post.educat.on). t.e HCWs’ HH compliance rat. in t.e pre-educat.on phase did not.vary by t.e 5-moment.indicat.ons [χ2(df 4) = 0.01, p = 0.98]. Conversely, t.e compliance rat. aft.r HH educat.on was higher t.an non-compliance across all 5-moment.indicat.on opport.nit.es (ranged bet.een 57.0% up t. 88.9%) [χ2(df 1) = 18.25, p rd and 4t. 5-moment.indicat.ons (“aft.r body fluid exposure” and “aft.r pat.ent.cont.ct.” respect.vely) were met.wit. a significant.HH improvement.[χ2(df 1) = 8.98, p = 0.003;and χ2(df 1) = 16.3, p −4.38, p = 0.001). Only physicians and nurses showed a significant.“wit.in-profession” improvement.in HH compliance aft.r educat.on, compared t. t.at.before educat.on (Z = −3.51, p = 0.001, Z = −2.48, p = 0.013, respect.vely). Conclusions: Applying a HH educat.on plan based on st.ndardized mult.modal HH st.at.gy proved effect.ve in improving t.e HH compliance of t.e hospit.l’s st.ff. Beer＇s law is obeyed in t.e working concent.at.on range of 2.5-35 μg/mL wit. apparent.molar absorpt.vit. of 1.015×104 L/mol cm and Sandell＇s sensit.vit. of 0.001 μg/cm2/0.001 absorbance unit. t.e limit. of det.ct.on and quant.t.t.on for t.e proposed met.od are 0.175 and 0.583μg/mL, respect.vely. t.e effect.of common excipient. used as addit.ves has been st.died in t.e det.rminat.on of cefixime. t.e proposed met.od has been successfully applied for t.e det.rmina- t.on of cefixime in pharmaceut.cal formulat.ons. t.e result. obt.ined by t.e proposed met.od were st.t.st.cally compared wit. t.e reference met.od using t.and F values and found no significant.difference bet.een t.e t.o met.ods.

In t.is art.cle, we shall report.t.e result. of t.e spect.oscopic measurement. of t.e plasma paramet.rs ut.lizing t.e spect.al lines emit.ed from t.e air at.ms surrounding plasma (O I line at.777.19 nm and N I at.746.83 nm). t.e plasma was creat.d via irradiat.on of plane solid aluminum t.rget.in open air by a high peak power Nd: YAG laser pulses at.fundament.l wavelengt. of 1064 nm. t.e emission spect.a were recorded using Echelle t.pe spect.ograph in conjunct.on wit. a t.me gat.d ICCD camera at.different.delay t.me from 1 t. 5 μs and at.a fixed gat. t.me of 1 μs. t.e plasma elect.on densit. was measured ut.lizing t.e St.rk broadening of t.e N I and O I lines and t.en compared t. t.e reference densit. as deduced from t.e opt.cally t.in Hα-line at.656.27 nm appeared in t.e same emission spect.a. t.e result. show t.at.under our experiment.l condit.ons t.e air lines are subject.d t. moderat. absorpt.on. t.e plasma elect.on t.mperat.re was measured ut.lizing t.e relat.ve spect.al int.nsit. of t.e air (O I t. N I) lines aft.r correct.ng t.eir spect.al radiance against.absorpt.on. t.e st.ndard t.mperat.re was measured ut.lizing t.e al II ionic lines. A comparison t. t.e reference t.mperat.res shows a very close agreement.aft.r correct.ng t.e emission spect.al radiance of t.e air lines against.self absorpt.on, which emphasizes t.e import.nce of correct.on process.
