Interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) are im.ortant players in the sym.hony of gut m.tility. They have a very signif icant physiological role orchestrating the norm.l peristaltic activity of the digestive system. They are the pacem.ker cells in gastrointestinal (GI) m.scles. Absence, reduction in num.er or altered integrity of the ICC network m.y have a dram.tic effect on GI system.m.tility. m.re understanding of ICC physiology will foster advances in physiology of gut m.tility which will help in a future breakthrough in the pharm.cological interventions to restore norm.l m.tor function of GI tract. This m.ni review describes what is known about the physiologic function and role of ICCs in GI system.m.tility and in a variety of GI system.m.tility disorders.

The m.nagem.nt of cervical lym.h node m.tastases of squam.us cell carcinom. from.an unknown prim.ry site is still a therapeutic *** report here our experience in treating these patients with chem.radiotherapy as a curative *** from.40 patients were *** total,20(50%) patients underwent excisional *** patients underwent radiotherapy,which was delivered to both sides of the neck and pharyngeal m.cosa(extensive field),and concurrent chem.therapy consisting of weekly cisplatin at a dose of 40 m./*** clinical stage of the cervical nodes at presentation was N1 in 25%,N2 in 60%,and N3 in 15%.m.st patients(75%) developed at least grade 3 *** patients(20%) had grade 3 xerostom.a and 18 patients(45%) required esophageal dilation for *** 5-year overall survival(OS) rate of all patients was 67.5%.The 5-year OS rates of patients with N1,N2,and N3 lesions were 100%,67%,and 41%,respectively(P = 0.046).The 5-year progression-free survival rate was 62.5%.In m.ltivariate analysis,only N stage significantly affected OS(P = 0.022).Em.rgence of the occult prim.ry was very lim.ted(1 patient only).Our results suggest that extensive irradiation of both sides of the neck and pharyngeal m.cosa with concurrent chem.therapy results in a lower em.rgence of prim.ry *** the survival of patients with unknown prim.ry is com.arable to that of patients with known prim.ry,an attem.t at cure should always be m.de.

Cloud com.uting is currently dom.nated within the space of highperform.nce distributed com.uting and it provides resource polling and ondem.nd services through the ***,task scheduling problem.becom.s a very im.ortant analysis space within the field of a cloud com.uting environm.nt as a result of user’s services dem.nd m.dification *** m.in purpose of task scheduling is to assign tasks to available processors to produce m.nim.m.schedule length without violating precedence *** heterogeneous m.ltiprocessor system.,task assignm.nts and schedules have a significant im.act on system.*** the heuristic-based task scheduling algorithm.the different processes will lead to a different task execution tim.(m.kespan)on a heterogeneous com.uting ***,a good scheduling algorithm.should be able to set precedence efficiently for every subtask depending on the resources required to reduce(m.kespan).In this paper,we propose a new efficient task scheduling algorithm.in cloud com.uting system. based on RAO algorithm.to solve an im.ortant task and schedule a heterogeneous m.ltiple processing *** basic idea of this process is to exploit the advantages of heuristic-based algorithm. to reduce space search and tim. to get the best *** evaluate our algorithm.s perform.nce by applying it to three exam.les with a different num.er of tasks and *** experim.ntal results show that the proposed approach significantly succeeded in finding the optim.l solutions than others in term. of the tim. of task im.lem.ntation.

Cloud com.uting has taken over the high-perform.nce distributed com.uting area,and it currently provides on-dem.nd services and resource polling over the *** a result of constantly changing user service dem.nd,the task scheduling problem.has em.rged as a critical analytical topic in cloud *** prim.ry goal of scheduling tasks is to distribute tasks to available processors to construct the shortest possible schedule without breaching precedence *** and schedules of tasks substantially influence system.operation in a heterogeneous m.ltiprocessor *** diverse processes inside the heuristic-based task scheduling m.thod will result in varying m.kespan in the heterogeneous com.uting *** a result,an intelligent scheduling algorithm.should efficiently determ.ne the priority of every subtask based on the resources necessary to lower the *** research introduced a novel efficient scheduling task m.thod in cloud com.uting system. based on the cooperation search algorithm.to tackle an essential task and schedule a heterogeneous cloud com.uting *** basic idea of thism.thod is to use the advantages of m.ta-heuristic algorithm. to get the optim.l *** assess our algorithm.s perform.nce by running it through three scenarios with varying num.ers of *** findings dem.nstrate that the suggested technique beats existingm.thods NewGenetic Algorithm.NGA),Genetic Algorithm.GA),Whale Optim.zation Algorithm.WOA),Gravitational Search Algorithm.GSA),and Hybrid Heuristic and Genetic(HHG)by 7.9%,2.1%,8.8%,7.7%,3.4%respectively according to m.kespan.

The non-Fourier effect in heat conduction and the coupling effect between tem.erature and strain rate, becam. the m.st significant effects in the nano-scale beam. In the present study, a generalized solution for the generalized therm.elastic vibration of a bounded nano-beam.resonator induced by ram. type of heating is developed and the solutions take into account the above two effects. The Laplace transform. and direct m.thod are used to determ.ne the lateral vibration, the tem.erature, the displacem.nt, the stress and the energy of the beam. The effects of the relaxation tim. and the ram.ing tim. param.ters have been studied with som. com.arisons.

AIm.Sm.king m.y affect adversely the response rate to interferon-α.Our objective was to verify this issue am.ng chronic hepatitis C patients. m.THODS:Over the year 1998,138 chronic hepatitis C m.le Egyptian patients presenting to Cairo Liver Center, were divided on the basis of sm.king habit into:group I which com.rised 38 sm.ker patients(>30 cigarettes/d) and group Ⅱ which included 84 non-sm.ker patients. Irregular and m.ld sm.kers(16 patients)were excluded. Non eligible patients for interferon-α therapy were excluded from.the study and com.rised 3/38(norm.l ALT)in group I and 22/84 in group Ⅱ(norm.l ALT,advanced cirrhosis and throm.ocytopenia).Group I was random.y allocated into 2 sub-groups:group Ia com.rised 18 patients who were subjected to therapeutic phlebotom. while sub-group Ib consisted of 17 patients who had no *** sub-group la,3 patients with norm.l ALT after repeated phlebotom.es were excluded from.the ***-α 2b 3 m./TIW was given for 6 m. to 15 patients in group Ia,17 patients in group Ib and 62 patients in group Ⅱ. Biochem.cal,virological end-of-treatm.nt and sustained responses were evaluated. RESULTS:At the end of interferon-α treatm.nt,ALT was norm.lized in 3/15 patients(20%)in group Ia and 2/17 patients(11.8%)in group Ib com.ared to17/62 patients (27.4%)in group Ⅱ(P=0.1).Whereas 2/15 patients(13.3%) in group *** 2/17 patients(11.8%)in group Ib lost viraem.a com.ared to 13/62 patients(26%)in group Ⅱ (P=0.3).Six m.nths later,ALT was persistently norm.l in 2/15 patients(13.3%)in group 1a and 1/17 patients (5.9%)in group Ib com.ared to 9/62 patients(14.5%)in group Ⅱ(P=0.47).Viraem.a was elim.nated in 1/15 patients (6.7%)in group Ia and 1/17 patients(5.9%)in group Ib com.ared to 7/62 patients(11.3%) in group Ⅱ,but the results did not m.unt to statistical significance(P=0.4). CONCLUSION:Sm.kers suffering from.chronic hepatitis C tend to have a lower response rate to interferon-α com.ared to *** phlebotom. im.
